How to maintain the documents like PDF, EXCEL and WORD in database

I am working on UI, I am tracking the COREMODS data using this UI. My requirement is need to maintain the related documents also in database using this UI. I think SLM system have that functionality. If any one know about this functionality, explain about
How to upload the documents into database.
How to maintain this documents in database.
Is there any standard methods/function modules to upload this documents ( I am not asking about content of document, I am expecting about total file).
i.e. I want to maintain the all core mod related test cases and other documents in SAP database.
How to handle this functionality?

There is a Utility in SAP called Easy DMS.
Here you can create folders, maintain authorisations and store your documents.
Hope this is wht u r looking for.

SAP PP: In BOM how to where to maintain the details like Length, Width and Quantity

Dear All,
In SAP PP where to maintain the details like Length, Width, Quantity of the material for production information.
Eg:
Client will procure a material of 10milli meter Thickness Mild Steel material of fixed dimensions lets say 4meters x 4Meters
{so the material dimensions are 4000Milli Meter (Length) x 4000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) Mild steel Sheet}
For production the above plate is to cut into desired sizes as per the drawings given by Design Department of "N" no qtys.
(let say in drg for the component the desired sizes are 1000Milli Meter (Length) x 1000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) of 4Nos}
In BOM where all we can maintain the above details. The same details wants to send it to production for their quick reference.
Also how the system will calculate the weight automatically for procuring of raw material with the above details.
Note: Purchase department will procure the full length as i mentioned above but not the desired lengths to be produce for production.
Pls let me know if any further information required for the solution to suggest.

Hi,
You can use two options...
1. Classification...create characteristics like length, height and breadth with CT04, assign these chars to class (CL01) and assign this class to your raw material in classification view in material master (MM02). When you receive the material from vendor during GR enter the values for characteristics. (activate Batch management).
Now when you create the Production Order, in the components for this raw material, assign the batch..
When this is issued against the Production order , production people can see the details of values in the batch...
2. Try to explore the option of variable size item concept during creation of BOM..

i have a report which gives the related sap o/p , when we chose a certain layout and trasfer the o/p to excell sheet it maintains the layout but when it comes to the emailed version (i.e., when it is emailed ) , the attachment , it is not maintaining the layout which i have chosen, can u suggest me what i need to do?

If you have a price of 100USD in the sales order then you should have a look in the copy control. Which pricing type is maintained here.
If you want to take over the price from the sales order to the return order then you should maintain a pricing type which not new determine the VPRS. Then the VPRS should copied from the sales order.
Please have a look 24832. Here is describe which pricing type is relevant to determine a new condtion.

How to maintain the fields mandatory in Opportunity and quotation SAP CRM?

I have the following two requirements :
1.Need to mark the fields as mandatory in SAP CRM Opportunity (description,sales prospect,phase,status,opportunity group,origin
,product(description,quantity,expected total value) ,Milestones(Start date and end date),Organization.
2.Also the fields in SAP CRM Quotation ( Prodcut,Usage,Project Manager ITS (an Employee) and Capitalization ( our Z-customer field)
How to achieve this ? Is this can be done through pure customization in SAP CRM or any developers work involves? We are using SAP CRM 4.0 .
Pls provide the solution at the earliest .

Some can be done thru customazing in spro>crm>basic settings>incompleteness>Define Incompleteness Procedures. For more enhanced functionality you can use also badi under spro>crm>basic settings>incompleteness>Business Add-In for Incompleteness Check in Business Transac.
To define incompleteness for exampla for SAP CRM Opportunity - description, do the following in spro>crm>basic settings>incompleteness>Define Incompleteness Procedures:
- create new incompletenes group: e.g. ZOPP
- assign this group to your opportunity transaction type
- define incompleteness procedure:
     - object type: ORDERADM_H
     - field name: DESCRIPTION
     - relavance: HEADER
     - message: ERROR
- define determination

If you open any delivery in VL03N transaction just below the Menu bar there is button called 'Services for Object'. using this we can attach any document to this Delivery.
Is there any way to attach this newly uploaded document using some Z program (referring tcode CG3Z ) to this delivery.

unfortunately it is only possible to modify documents in original
language.   It seems, that you want to update the standard docu (which indeed might have been created in german language once upon a time....)
Please use the possibility to store Notes within your project IMG
These notes can be maintained in IMG-project language.
To get the functionality you need to assign a documentation type
with transaction SPRO_ADMIN on tab 'Documentation Types' to your
IMG-project. Afterwards you can use the icon 'Note' while maintaining
your IMG-project within transaction SPRO.

I will +1 Pixelan's products. They are great, simple, and have about the best support that I know of. When you explore, say Pixelan's SpiceMaster, dig deeply. Things appear rather mundane, on the surface, but there is so very much power lurking, just below the surface. To save you file click the disc icon in the tool bar or file save as:
To email the Word document to someone compose a new message and click the paper clip to attach the Document.
