  • What are the disadvantages of maintaining the source list?

    Hi,
I understand that once source list is activated for plant in customizations, it has to be maintained for all the materials which are extended for the said plant, Is it true? Can I maintain only for selected materials?
I also understand if it is maintained for material then, we can not create PO for other source for which it has not be maintained in source list.
    Thanks in advance,
    Satish

    hi
There are no disadvantages if you maintain source list. Infact it helps lot of other functionalities other than purchasing. if you make source liost mandatory then it it required that for that particular material you need to have sourcelist  in Txn ME01.  You can have  list of vendors who are approved and put all of them in the source list for the material.  Yes you can always have independent sourcelist for a single material. Unless until you make it mandatory in customising there is no problem in PO creation. If you have made it mandatory  and you wish to create a PO for a new vendor who is not there in Source list then it is not possible to create a PO. However you can add the new vendor in the source list and go on creating the PO.

Use the "move" tool with the current path and new path as inputs. It's in the File I/O...advanced palette.

  • How do I bring the Source List back in sight?

I opened iPhoto this morning to look for a specific photo, but the Source List does not show on the screen. So I cannot highlight the category of Photos in the Source List. How do I get the Source List back? It has never disappeared before. I checked iPhoto Preferences and could find nothing there to help me, either. The iPhoto Help in the menu bar doesn't tell how to retrieve the Source List - it just tells how to use it once you have it there.

Oops! After writing the question above, I started exploring this website (I've never used it before), and I found the answer to the question - just click on the Escape key and the full screen of photos pulls in smaller and displays the Source List on the left right where it has "always" been! Thanks for providing the answer that I couldn't find in iPhoto Help or iPhoto Preferences!

  • How can I make my Shuffle stay in the Source list with Version 7??

No longer in the IPOD options that I can see????

    Blackstar,
Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the Keep this iPod in the source list option does not exist in iTunes 7.
So the first thing you will probably want to do is let Apple know your feelings on the matter by submitting the form on this support page .
Done that? Okay then, so now you'll probably want to make the best of the situation by figuring out if there's any kind of workaround to deal with the matter.
The best I can come up with is suggest that you create a playlist dedicated to your iPod shuffle which, for discussion's sake, we can call the Shuffle Playlist.
Once you have created that playlist, when you connect your shuffle to your computer you can drag the Shuffle Playlist into your shuffle.
After disconnecting the shuffle you can get to work on modifying the Shuffle Playlist for your next update.
Note that you will have to manually clear the iPod shuffle's contents before putting a new Shuffle Playlist on it.

  • How the source list is created automatically

    Hi all,
Cud any one tell me is there any way to create the source list automatically. as per my knowledge we need to give the tick for the plants we want the source list should be made mandatory while creating the material master.
How can be make the Source list field for the Purchasing view mandatory while creating the material master .

    Hi,
You can have the system generate a source list for a material automatically. The system offers you the possibility of quickly entering or updating all source list records for a given source list.
With this procedure, a source list record can be created for each info record and/or each outline agreement item for one or more materials.
You can create the source list for several materials (collective procedure) or a single material (individual procedure).
    Prerequisites
Before you create source list records, consider the following:
For which materials/plants are the source list records to be generated?
Are only outline agreement items, only info records, or both be taken into account? (Decision only in the case of the collective procedure.)
What is the validity period of the source list records to be generated?
Do source list records already exist for the materials for which you want to create source list records? If so, you must decide whether the old records:
    May not be changed
    Are to be deleted
Are to be excluded from the validity period of the generated source list records
    Activities
    Collective Procedure
With this procedure, you generate the source list for several materials.
Choose Master data Source list Follow-on functions  Generate.
    Enter the necessary data.
    Create the source list.
A list of the source records to be generated is displayed. Already-existing source list records whose validity periods are thus changed are also listed.
Select the source list records you want to include in the source list.
Fixed or blocked source list records: You can mark a source list record as "fixed" or block it. A "fixed" source represents the preferred source of supply, whereas a "blocked" source is one from which you are not allowed to order. Select the desired source list record. Then choose Edit  Fix, or Edit Block.
Choose  to store the selected source list records for the displayed material in the source list.
Exception messages are displayed by the system. Press ENTER to continue the saving process.
    Individual Procedure
With this procedure, you generate the source list for a single material.
Choose Master data  Source list  Maintain. The initial screen for the source list appears.
Enter the material and plant number. Then press ENTER to display the overview screen.
    Choose Edit  Generate records.
In the dialog box which appears, enter the validity period of the source list records to be created.
First determine how existing source list records are to be treated if their validity periods overlap with the one specified. To do so, set the appropriate indicator in the dialog box. Press ENTER . The source list is created.
Click  to save the source list.

  • How can I enable the Special Stock Indicator in the source list?

    Hello Gurus,
How can I enable the Special Stock Indicator in the source list? This can be found in the Maintain source list detail screen, source group and beside the order unit. Even I am in the create or in change mode, still the indicator can't change
    Thanks!

OSS note 668764 explains that the special stock indicator field is a display only field and cannot be changed in the source list. it is only taken over from a scheduling agreement.

  • How to delete an item in the Source List?

  • How do I get rid of the calendars in the source list?

I don't want Iphoto automatically organizing my photos by year, and I don't want to see the last four years depicted as calendar icons in the source list, and I don't want an item called "early photos' in my source list. How do I get rid of these unwanted items/features?
Many of the photos I'm importing have, over the years, been edited and their original photo dates are no longer valid in GetInfo, so iphoto's automated feature causes chaos upon importing.

    Hello autochthon,
The side bar which contains some of iPhoto's built in organizational tools like "Last Import" "Last 12 Months" "Early Photos" is part of the iPhoto program and cannot be removed.
The items you mention appear under the sub-category "Recent". You can click on the disclosure triangle to hide those features from view.
By default iPhoto arranges all images in a chronological fashion, however you can sort your photos in your events in a variety of other ways: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iPhoto/8.0/en/6291.html.
For those that don't like any of the sorting options available, putting images into Albums is often a good route to go. Once you put your pictures in an album you can then drag them into whatever order meets your needs within that Album.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to select the vendor from the source list in the PO(me21n) screen ??

    Hi
How to select the vendor from the source list in the PO(me21n) screen.
Is there any Sources of Supply tab in the PO just like we have in the PR.
I don't want a PO raised from a PR which has got the Vendor assigned to it already.
Or the SAP doesnot provide the option of Source list/Assign source/Sources of Supply .....in the PO.
    Kindly reply

There is not any facility available for Source Determination in PO. Only you can select the line item and click Menu Environment > Source List and view the list of sources available for the material but you can not chooss and assign. If you wan to assign the vendor then change the vendor already entered in PO and put the desired vendor.

  • How to restore iPod when it doesn't appear in the Source List?

About 6 months ago I stupidly wiped my iPod Nano (5th Gen) and reformatted it as fat32. I assumed that when I formatted it back to Mac OS Journaled it would work normally as an iPod again but it doesn't. When it is plugged into my Mac running 10.5.8, it appears on the desktop/mac harddrive (without its individualised nano icon) and it fails to appear in the source list in iTunes (10.2.2).
I have tried everything I know how to do, including the steps outlined in this support document:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1410
I need to restore the iPod to factory settings, but need a way to do this not through iTunes seeing as the iPod is not recognised. Specifically, in the following support document I cannot complete step 4:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339
One last thing I have tried is duplicating the files (including hidden ones) from a 5th gen nano that does appear in my source list, and placing those files into my apparently invisible nano but this has not made any difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have basically been left with a bricked paperweight (due mostly to my own stupidity!) but would love to be able to use it again.
    Thanks for any help offered

    Hello kismet_kracker,
What happens if you place the iPod into Disk Mode with it still connected to your Mac?  Does it then show up in Finder as a mounted drive?  Here are instructions for putting your iPod into Disk Mode.

You don't import photos from the iPhone to your computer using iTunes.
See this -> iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Note this only applies to photos taken with the iPhone. Any photos you previously added to your iPhone using iTunes should be copied from old computer to new computer.

  • I cannot see the Source List in iTunes. How do I get it back? Thanks!

I cannot see the Source List in iTunes. How do I get it back? I am trying to eject my ipod classic, and there is no option to do so, because I cannot see the ipod, let alone the source list in itunes. I'm also unable to restore my ipod, and I get a message saying it is corrupt, and now I can't even eject it! What do I do?!? Thanks!

    Hello twangchick,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
You can use the steps in this article to view the device list in iTunes and eject your iPod. The steps are slightly different for the different version of iTunes:
Locate and view your connected iPhone, iPad or iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support
I know it can be frustrating to have a device that isn't working as it should, and this link may also help with restoring your iPod classic:
Restoring iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
If your iPod can't be restored normally, try placing it into Disk Mode. See the instructions under "iPod devices with a Click Wheel" in this article:
Putting iPod into Disk Mode - Apple Support
    Sincerely,
    Jeremy

  • Maintaining the scheduling agreement/ po number in the source list?

    Hi,
What is the advantage of maintaining the scheduling agreement/ po number in the source list?
    Thanks

This numbers will becomes mandatory if we go for "Optimized Purchasing".
If we run MRP, the system will creates PR / Automatic Schedule lines.  For this purpose system will take the PO/Schedule Agreement Number from source list.
