How to make a Bluetooth device a favorite?

I have added my BT keyboard to my MacBook Pro, but I never saw an option to add it as a favorite, and in the "get more info" it says it is not a favorite "Favorite: No". I can't find where to add this!
I'm sure it's easy, so thank you very much for any help!

It was actually found by (props!) Barry Hemphill by answering this same question I posted in another area.

...and yes, that's what makes it convoluted, and therefore bewildering. There may be a good answer (obsolescence?), I just wonder what it is out of curiosity, or was it just poorly created and therefore they may want to update.

I can't see a bluetooth icon to help manange bluetooth connections.

    Hi
You cannot connect any BT device to this notebook because this has not been equipped with any BT module.
So BT is not available for this unit.

  • How to unhide a Bluetooth device?

By mistake I hide a Bluetooth device because I had some trouble to establish the connection. How can I unhide this device? I did not find any option.

I don't have anything that equates to "Hide" when I look at the bluetooth screen for a device on my phone in English.
The top option on the page is "Forget this Device". That sill effectively delete the pairing.
I think you need to re-pair your phone with whatever you're trying to connect to.

  • How to make a bluetooth call on a second phone

How do you make a bluetooth connection to make a call from a second mobile phone?
I have a N95 and a work mobile. I want to allow people to call my N95 but becasue work pays for the calls from the other mobile, i would like to make a bluetooth connection to this other mobile so I can make calls from it, but using my N95.
This is what I'm trying to do:
    I Speak --> N95 --> Bluetooth connection --> Other mobile --> 3G Network --> Destination phone
Does anyone know if that's possible?

As far as I know it isn´t possbile to make a call connection to another phone via bluetooth, sorry...
By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.

  • How to undo 'forget bluetooth device?

How do I undo 'forget bluetooth device' and have iPhone 3Gs try again to pair with my computer?

can you give more details? Which device i should put into discover mode?

  • How to "unforget" a Bluetooth device?

I set to forget a bluetooth device I was trying to pair in an effort to resolve a pairing issue I had. But when I did so, I was never able to see that bluetooth device again.
How do I unforget the bluetooth device so my iPhone can discover it once again?

When the iPhone is told to forget a device, it just clears it from the memory. Try and turn the bluetooth off on the phone and back on again. It will not "ignore" the device. One of those should do it, or a reset on the phone before trying again. I've used "forget this device" a number of times when testing particular bluetooth headsets for numerous phones. They will appear again as I stated.

  • How to make Macbook bluetooth not always discoverable.

I'm running Yosemite on a Macbook Pro, I use bluetooth devices so need to keep bluetooth on, but don't want it to always be discoverable by other devices. My Macbook Pro, (which is named as my full name), shows up to anyone close by with a bluetooth device. No bueno.

Do you live in a set of flats or high-density housing? No one really uses bluetooth unless you know you've got nerds/computer experts in adjacent rooms.
If you're in a house you really don't have to worry about a thing as practical bluetooth range is only about 15feet or 4meters.
    Solutions:
Change your Mac's name (System Preferences > Sharing) to anything you want. I personally recommend names like NSA Surveillance, Mordor, Captain Kirk, Tardis, Jarvis, Skynet Server, HAL, etc.
Turn bluetooth off when you don't need it.
FYI, when two bluetooth devices are connected, the device is no longer in discoverable mode.
Also, when you close the system preferences window (settings on the iPhone) The device exits discovery mode.

  • How to make the PAP2 device take our configs as factory default

    Hy there
I work to an ISP and i want to know how do i make an default configuration for our PAP2 devices.
I want to make that config as factory default.
    thank you

If you are referring to resetting the PAP2 back to factory defaults, then try this:
    http://www.sipura.com/Documents/faq/Section_3.html#4
But if you mean using a tool to get the default settings, then I’m assuming you are in search for a provisioning tool mostly used by VoIP providers to configure the device.
    http://www.sipura.com/Documents/faq/Section_1.html#11
I think this will also be applicable to the PAP2, but the problem here is you can’t get that tool too easily.

  • How do I delete Bluetooth devices that only show up from the drop down menu bar, and not in the Bluetooth preferences devices?

I recently attempted, and failed, to pair/link/use my Playstation 3 Controller with my 13" Macbook Pro Retina (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1), and now I've been left with three unwanted 'devices' in my Bluetooth's menu bar, that don't show up in the Bluetooth's preferences devices, so I am unable to delete them from there.
The devices in question are labelled as "00-00-00-00-68-2f", "00-00-00-00-68-7f", and "00-00-00-00-68-ef".
I've read that resetting the PS3 Controller will remove these, but every attempt at that has failed as much as trying to use the Controller for gaming.
Any help with this little issue will be much appreciated, as I've found it very annoying.
    Cheers

  • Search For Bluetooth Devices

I dont know how to search for bluetooth devices on nokia e65. Need to set up a handsfree car kit with it. Where do i go on the phone to search for bluetooth devices??

    Hi lindi9
Select Menu > Connect > Bluetooth.
    1. When you activate Bluetooth for the first time, you are asked to give a name to your device. Give your device a unique name to make it easy to recognize if there are several Bluetooth devices in the vicinity.
    2. Select Bluetooth > On.
    3. Select My phone's visibility > Shown to all.

  • Have to "Set up Bluetooth Device" for wireless trackpad and keyboard almost every day

Almost every day when I turn on my MacBook Air in my home office, my Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad do not automatically reconnect. They used to connect just fine when I was in the viscinity, but now (for the past 6 months or so) I almost always have to:
Bluetooth > Set up Bluetooth Device
Turn off the keyboard (hold down the power button for several seconds)
Turn the keyboard back on (hold down power button for several seconds)
    Go through the setup wizard
    Repeat for the trackpad
    Things that don't work:
Pressing the button on each Bluetooth device
    Restarting each Bluetooth device
    Turning Bluetooth on and off
Setting the Bluetooth devices as "Favorites"
Selecting the device from the Bluetooth menu item and clicking "Connect"
    Rebooting my MacBook Air
    Resetting  the NVRAM / PRAM
Once the device is connected for the day, I do appear to be able to "Disconnect" and then "Connect" again from the Bluetooth menu item. The devices will also automatically reconnect by pressing a button on them. It just appears to lose the "lease" on them or whatever after a little less than a day.
I'm trying to think of other troubleshooting steps I could take and it just occurred to me that I could try swapping them with the peripherals I use at work (which are possibly newer models, but otherwise identical). Any other suggestions?

Huzzah! Less than 1 week after finally getting fed up and posting this question, I have discovered the root cause - my wife had been inadvertently stealing my keyboard and mouse connection whenever she turned on her laptop! She's using my hand-me-down MacBook Pro which I thought I had reset, but apparently it remembered its Bluetooth connections.
I had suspected something similar since I occasionally used the wireless keyboard with my iPad, but had already ruled that out.
I can't believe I figured this out after 6 months of mild frustration, but just days after posting this question

  • Rename Bluetooth Device on an iPhone 3GS

    Hi,
I have two Blueant S1 Handsfree Bluetooth devives - one in my car, the other in my wife's car. Both devices have been successfully synched to the iPhone, but they have the same device name BLUEANT S1.
On my wife's Samsung phone it is possible to rename BLUEANT S1 to something more meaningful, however I have not been able to find how to do the same in my iPhone.
Does anyone know how to rename a Bluetooth Device which is paired to an iPhone?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

You need to consult the directions for the device you're trying to pair to. You need to put it back in pairing mode and pair just the way you did the first time.
