How to make a distribution list that includes all email addresses for each contact?

Is it possible to create a distribution list that allows you to select all possible email addresses for each contact within a group? I am running into the problem that I can only select one email address for each contact, but need multiple. How can this email list be generated using the Contacts app and Mail?

You can't with the way it currently works.
I've never tried, but you might try multiple groups, each with a different email selected.
I think I created an Applescript that would grab every address of every selected person and address an email. It is probably buried in the bowels of these forums.

I see that Address Book has the ability to use "Edit Distribution List..." to select one email address for a given card/contact, but I can't get it to allow me to use two or three for a given card.
I suppose for now I can just create a duplicate card, and pick one address from each.

Sorry, but Address Book does not allow you to select more than one email address to send to in a group. There's really no reason why people need multiple copies of a message, anyway; they have the option of forwarding email to another email address of theirs.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like Facebook imported to your contacts. I have the Xfinity app on my new ipad, too, but none of my stored contacts from the online version are showing, only what I manually entered into the iPads contacts are there. When I did add the FB app, I did not grant it permission to push and pull from my ipad (not a fan of FB knowing every detail about me), so that may be where our difference lies. You could try to open the app and change your privacy settings, or delete it and then reinstall without granting permissions to integrate.
I'm sure someone here with a lot more knowledge then me can probably diagnose your issue better, though. Good luck!

We have a department field in the SR page and also in the User page. so say i select department in SR page as 'abc' then email has to be sent to the user who has dept as 'abc'.

How to create a shared Apple ID with iCloud email address for household?

I would like to create a shared Apple ID with iCloud email address that wife and I can share and access from separate devices? A shared household iCloud email address would be useful for email contact for creating/managing bill accounts for utilities, school for kids, bill pay etc… I currently have my own Apple ID on my MBP.

If you mean that you would like to create a shared iCloud account with a shared iCloud email address and you already have an iCloud account of your own, you can do that by creating a new Apple ID (see https://appleid.apple.com/account), then use the ID to set up a secondary iCloud account on your Mac by going to System Preferences>Internet Accounts (or Mail,Contacts,Calendars)>iCloud and signing in with the new ID. You can then turn enable Mail in this account to create the shared email account. Secondary accounts are more limited than primary iCloud accounts, and will only sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders and Notes.
Once the account is created, it can be added to iOS devices by signing in with the ID in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud.
Or, if your only interest is in having a shared email account, you might consider just setting up a free Gmail account to share.

No, you have an option in outlook client to set up this activity through server so there us no need of outlook running all the time and the outlook if needed only on the primary setup,

How can I teach my server that a specific email address is not spam?

I have 2 clients that are located in China. Their emails periodically get tagged as SPAM although I repeatedly redirect them to [email protected]
Is there way to just tell this beast to trust anything coming from these two addresses?

Mmmm. Sounds like an odd error to get. What log is this? Works OK in 10.4.7. Are you 10.4 or earlier? Anybody know if things are different in 10.3?

The command "spamassassin --lint" will run a check on the local.cf file and flag up any errors. There are (I think) 5 ignorable issues it has with the default file but it will actually list the lines so you can easily see if it has an issue with specific entries. You can run --lint without restarting mail services so the file will not yet be 'live' and can be re-edited without interupting the mail services.
Just-in-case, stop & start mail services using "serveradmin stop/start mail" command (when you want to make changes live) rather than via the Admin button. I think it was Pterobyte that noted that this is safer (due to GUI caches or something).

My icloud is linked to my husband's icloud. How can I change it so that my itunes email address shows up and not my husband's? All my apps also go to his phone. None of my pics, or apps were saved on my phone. I think because it has his itunes info.

My husband and I traded phones a week ago. Now I have my phone back. So when I got my # back I tried to recall all my stored data via icloud but nothing except contacts was retrieved. At ATT they said they could tell that I have over 200 photos but we couldn't recover any of them. They said all I had to do was recall them from icloud. But it didn't work. Now my husband says every time I download a new app it also gets it. We share the same itunes account but different icloud accounts. So what can I do? I made an appointment with the genious bar at the Apple Store but I am anxious to try to fix it before my appointment time in 2 more days. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
It appears you want to remove his ID from iCloud on your device and add your own back, you can do this at settings > iCloud > Delete account and then sign in again using your Apple ID. By doing this your data should be added back to your device, unless your husband has deleted it when using your ID. Photo stream is a little different.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.
You should also decide whether you want to share your iTunes content with each other. If you do share, you can stop the apps and music etc., that he buys on his device downloading to yours by turning off automatic downloads on your device at settings > iTunes & App Stores.

befor the update, we had a command called Contacts through which I could edit names of contacts who changed their address. I cannot find such a command on the new page.

That is a question related to whatever email system you use, not your browser. You may wish to ask the question at the support website for that particular system.

I want to get all my keywords embedded. I think a workaround is to make a smart list that has all my photos which contain any key word. Export all these photos. Then import them back in using auto arrange by event.

In the Photos window turn off the Event Titles so all you see are the photos. Then sort by keyword, ascending or desending. The photos without a keyword will be at one end of the display of photos. Find all of the photo without a keyword and batch add a new, unique keyword. Then make a smart album with the criteria Keyword is not "XXXX".

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Apple offers free, basic Mail and Address Book apps and creates paid, more sophisticated solutions, also allowing Developers to provide more sophisticated solutions for sale in the marketplace.
When I need to repeatedly email to multiple contacts, I create a blank draft email, and use the Address Book button to list the appropriate address book group. With the Address Book window open, it's easy to click to add multiple email addresses for a single contact name. Each is added to the message email address list. Then I save that blank email to iCloud Drafts, and it retains the email addreses I've entered. Next time I need to send a message I double-click on it in Drafts to open it, and drag it to one of my other email accounts to add Subject and details, then send from the other account.

How can I edit an Address Book Distribution List that will not display in Lion?

The option to edit an Address Book Distribution List (to select preferred emails for certain contacts) only appears as light print and does not respond to selection. I have a number of Address Groups that display and funtion properly in Mail, but since installing Lion, the problem described occurs. Any fix? Thanks.

The key is that the Contact List is now being kept in the Cloud & you cannot edit the Distribution List in your Mac's Address Book.
The fix is:
Quit your Address Book
Go to  Menu --> Sys Preferences --> iCloud
Uncheck the CONTACTS icon
Close Sys Pref
Open Address Book - Edit your Distribution Lists (No longer Greyed out)
Quit Address Book
Go to  Menu --> Sys Preferences --> iCloud
Check the CONTACTS icon
You should be good to go!

How to make a SELECT LIST READONLY

I have a form to update the existing values in a table. Primary column is based on a Select List.
So when user goto update screen they SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE the primary filed(means the value display in the Select List).
SO to make this one I have make that select list read only. But not like other items even when we make select list read only it still allow user to change the value. So basically read only property not working for select text.
There are many post in this regading same issue. Some of them recomended to make it disabled. But when we make a item disabled then when user POST that form, Apex not POST any disabled item values. Basically disabled items values not passing next form. So making item dissable also not a solution.
I have read almost 20 post in here regarrding this and didnt get any solution for this. So please let me know if anyone knows how to make a select list read only (which is working same as read only text boxes, means that value pass when user POST the form).
