How to make a draft/template of a transition

Hello,
I'd like to know how to make a draft/template of a transition in adobe premiere pro cs 5.5.
Is this possible and if it is, how can I do it?

You can't. You can copy and paste a transition, though, if you target the destination track. You can also change your default transition (right-click the transition you want in the Effects panel) and the default transition duration (Edit > Preferences > General) and apply that one by one or to a group of clips by selecting them and going to Sequence > Apply Default Transitions to Selection.

how to do a keyframe trasition in the Color FX room
I realize that you can "add" keyframes to the timeline in COLORFX, but I don't believe they are always observed, and then they usually disappear in retrieved projects, and aren't persistent if you leave the room. To remember where they are... you might mark in a keyframe on those frames in another room as a pathfinder. The behaviour is consistent with a creature of the six-legged variety.
Method 1. If you are trying to taper the effect (any effect) in COLOR FX, the most linear approach is to render two versions of the clip; one "with", one "without" and do an opacity fade once you have returned them to Final Cut. This gives you the most control, flexibility, repeatability and consistency.
Method 2. You may attempt to keyframe the bleach bypass settings within the node itself -- the preset that comes with COLOR doesn't have any controls, but the Nattress plugin does.
Method 3. Set up a "blend" node with your bleach bypass feeding one of the inputs and leave the second input to default to the untreated video... keyframe a transition from "1.00000" to "0.00000" and that should work.
Note: the keyframe timeline markers will disappear from the timeline if you exit the clip, but the effect is likely to persist. At least that was what was happening a couple of minutes ago... for me, the effect and blend performed the transition just like it was previewing when rendered. This strategy is subject to being created and rendered "on the spot right now", and I advise making sure you have your renderqueue settings ready to go... load the clip from the COLORFX room using the Mac command bar at the top of the screen and render it right away. Don't try to save it for later. Just Do It.
An announcement went around about two weeks ago that Mr. Deakins' website was back up and running, so give him another try... poor guy has been swamped probably doing Dreamweaver maintenance... yeah, that must be it...

How to make a custom template the default for Apple Mail (10.7.5)?

Hi,
I'm OK with making a new custom template in Apple Mail. It shows up fine once under "custom" in the stationary pane (and once I take off signature in a new email). But... that's a lot of trouble to go through everytime I want to send an email.
So the question is: can I make my custom template my default for all my emails, unless I want to manually change it? Seems like this should be possible but I can't figure it out and haven't run into any solutions (only on how to make a template).
Do I really have to select it each time?

As an FYI: I just solved the problem by going the "low road." I'll be a bit laborious in case someone else wants a solution at a later date (I know I Googled the topic and found nothing). I experimented by simply:
Opening a new email message
Selecting my custom template
Copying the custom signature (Select All)
Opening another new email message
Selecting Edit on the Signature pulldown menu
Hitting the plus symbol to create/add a new signature in the pane
Pasting into the new signature
Naming it
Selecting "Choose signature" at the bottom of the signatures pane
And violà!!
It now appears as a possible selection *and* as the default.
Better yet - it is now my default and will work as a reply to an email.
I think I got it all right in the list above.
OK, granted, this is a pretty simply signature - a list of my website, SoundCloud, twitter etc with those names in bold and a graphic of my color logo - but... it works! YMMV.
Give it to Apple to make it so simple that any fool could do it (that would be me), you wouldn't need a "specialized" app, and - of course - there wouldn't even be instructions on how to do it!

How to make a RTF-Template for the Bill Presentment Architecture (BPA)

Hallo,
I search a way to make an external RTF-template for the Oracle Receivables Balance Forward - Detail report in the Bill Presentment Architecture (BPA).
I've never done that.
I don't know how to get a XML-file of this request to use for the creation of the RTF-file.
And so I don't know how to specify in the RTF the LOOPs for the Lines and other If-conditions and so on.
Can anybody help me?

How to make DW see Templates and Library items

I imported a site from another computer. Now it cannot see templates as templates or library items as library items. I am downloading the files from the server. The templates folder is there, but they are not showing up in the assets panel. They are also not updating when I save them.
How do I make DW see the templates and library items? It is a large site and I really don't want to have to recreate everything.

I just had this problem and this is how I solved it:
1. Create a brand new template (can be empty) and save it
2. See where dreamweaver puts it in the files panel(more than likely will create a new template folder)
3. Completely move all templates from your previous template folder to the new one DW just created.
4. Voila - now check you templates under assets.
Caution:
1. First only copy one template to the new folder and check assets to test this theory before deleting the ones in the previous folder (if it works do be sure to delete the others)
2. To tell if a template actually works, select it then hit delete, if it simply warns you this can't be undone the template is NO GOOD. If it gives you a list of links you will destroy THAT'S THE ONE YOU WANT TO KEEP. The templates in the new folder should give you a list of links, any templates any where else will just give you a regular delete/warning message.

Anyone know how to make a personal template for iWeb 2.0?

Seems things changed in the content folder and descriptions for the previous version are unusable.
I don't understand why there isn't a chapter in the manual for this! Isn't it un-Applish to not let the mac users roam free with their creativeness… or is it to complicated?
Well, I just know how I would like the webpage to look and I would prefer to do it in iWeb. This is particularly since such a lot of people go on to use Explorer instead of rashing it and iWeb so far has been safe, that is wysiwyg, also for Explorer.

One of the things I do when creating a new website is build what I call a "master" page. This is the basic page I am going to use throughout the site.
To do this you have to be saving your individual sites to separate folders.
Make a copy of your domain.sites2 file and put it in a folder named "website master page".
Click this file to launch it in iWeb, delete all the pages and rename the site Master Page.
Build your master page and save.
When you want to start a new site using this page all you have to do is copy the file and paste it into a folder "New Website", launch it in iWeb and duplicate it as many times as you want.
Using this method you cannot, obviously, use gallery, photo, blog etc.
Mostly, I don't use them anyway for anything but personal sites.

How to make a Storybook Template on Author

I have noticed in the ibookstore that there are several books like The Ugly Duckling that have templates resembling storybooks, where you can swipe the page vertically and a page flipping animation will flip you to the next page as if it were an actual book. I want to make this on Author, but there are only the six default templates. It may be the case that these storybooks' templates were made by developers and may not be possible for me to model.
Any help would be appreciated.

How I Make a Video Template for iMovie?

I'm doing a weekly video blog and want to use a similar 7 second intro for each blog with very minor changes such as the title of the blog and issue number. At the moment, I have to build the intro video from scratch everytime a make a new video. This is really annoying as it takes a good 20 minutes to put the intro video together. What's the best way to get around this?
This could all have been easily avoided if there where just a "save as" function in imovie which would allow me to open the INTRO VIDEO everytime I want to make a new video, build on that, and simply save everything as a new project. But I can't find anything that allows me to build on previous projects and save them as new ones, or even import the raw contents of other projects into new projects!

Make your 7 second template.
Or pick a movie that already contains the seven second template.
Then, in the Project Library View, select the movie, and click FILE/DUPLICATE.
You now have a copy of the movie with the template. Give it a name, like TEMPLATE.
Delete everything that is not part of the template.
Now when you want to create a new project, select the template in the Project Library List and FILE/DUPLICATE (or right-click/Duplicate, and change the name to your project name.

EXISTS macro might not work for this sitatuion. unfortuantely there is no easy way to do this.
One way is to attempt to send a seperated email from the script, skipping all SAP Sourcing mail messagin capabilities.. there are some discussions in this forum around that.. plesae take a look..

Add database field OINV. Draftkey on your PLD, suppose field name is F_500
Add one formula field, suppose F_501 and place a formula " F_500 == -1 "
Add one text and let it text be "Draft Documents" Suppose F_502, link this with F_501
This is way you can control that documents is Draft or other status

so i start selling tshirts and i am looking for a tshirt, hoodie, long sleeve, women tshirt template. i want to make my own templates. like you guys must have seen the templates of teespring. if you download thier template and open it in photoshop it looks transparent. but if you put a base color ..booom... it will be the shirt color. i am very curious how to make it. like a realistic template. i am pro in photoshop, illustrator, corel draw, but dont know how to make this kind of templates. please see the attached image for refrence.
