How to make a FFT graph show imaginary multiple of 1x of the speed in LabView

I am using LabView to analyse vibration of a turbocompressor and show it on a FFT graph. What I want the program to do is to automatically draw lines on the X axis of the graph and show the possible 1x, 2x, 3x ... of the vibration according to the speed of the motor. For example if the speed of the motor is 10 kRPM then 1x is 166.6 Hz and 2x will be 333.33 Hz and so on. It is like having grid lines on the x-axes which will move with speed. Is this possible?

If you have the sound and vibration suite have a look at the order analyses functions
one a single fft graph you can simply rescale the axis with the property node (or change the df accordingly)
Attached a quick shot, where I took the dominat frequency as order 1 (I plotted the data twice .. still room for improvement )

For a lack of info about what Applications you are talking about we can only guess at what you want to do. In my experience, this is the kind of question that ends up being a mile long with 15 different examples because nobody knows exactly what you
are trying to do.

I just remembered I have a couple of screen snaps online to explain how
it's done:
1. place your base image and name it in the inspector
2. from the smart objects palette grab the head action item, the one
with a question mark in its upper, green half - the 2nd one from the
left. Drop that into the pages head section.
3. in the inspector set the action to run OnLoad and select the base
image that you named in the first step and set the other parameters.
This was done in the days of GL6, but not much had changed in GL CS.
Anyway you might also refer to GL's online help. It describes how to set
up all the actions that ship with GL.

How to make a simple graph

This is my first use of Numbers. I made a chart to list equipment for my insurance company. Pretty easy, but I would like to make a graph that shows me the percentage of equipment cost for each of the 5 categories. Here's what I have:
Column A: Quantity
(then I list manufacturer, item name, serial number)
Column D is Category
Column E is Item Cost
How can I build a graph that shows the total cost for each category? I bet this is easy.... but it eludes me!

Wow, thank you very much for your reply! I think that what you describe is what I did to the the column for the replacement cost for the items. I had =A*F to put the extended cost for each item where A=Quantity and F=Item Cost and G=A*F (total replacement cost). That worked very well to do the math for me.
But where I'm stuck, and it may be the terminology confusing me is my column E for Category. All of my items are broken up into one of 4 categories. I would like to get the total cost (column G) broken down by the categories in column E. I wonder if this makes sense.
If I select column E (Category) and choose a chart, it breaks things up by column A which is the quantity. I'm wondering if I were to make column A the category it would automatically break things down by category then. I wish I could post a screen shot. Maybe you understand my verbal description?

How to make beautiful intensity graph/chart?

I have one question for plotting the intensity graph using labview. I have ten bins
particle data (as attached, the first row is particle size which is y and the x is time, and the z is the particle concentration). I try to plot a intensity graph, but I got a very ugly picture. I use the property node but still don't get a good one. I want to know if the data is sufficient to make a nice plot and how to make it? Thank you very much.

WPF: How to make Tab Header to show three different icons?

Our WPF application needs Tab header to show three different icons and Foreground.
If tab is not selected, show one icon and black foreground. If tab is selected, show another icon and white foreground. If tab is selected and also require show Chromestyle, show third icon and red foreground.

Where is the IsChromeStyle property defined? It is the Header, i.e. the string "Setup" that is the DataContext of the HeaderTemplate and the a string has no property called IsChromeStyle so you must specify a source for the binding.
If for example the DataContext object of the TabControl, or the parent of the TabControl (for example the window or whatever) has a property called IsChromeStyle you could bind to this one using a RelativeSource:

How to make a compass graph with Numbers?

Hi, I did a search for compass graphs and there are a few excel examples, do you know if there are any Numbers, versions, and user friendly ones at that. As I am not a mathematician. Basically I am plotting the frequency of doorway directions to compass points, e.g. N, NNW,NW,W, on a bar chart, but the paper I am comparing it to, has used a compass graph, with the freqency as longer lines eminating from the compass point depending on the number of doorways.
The directions could be input as degrees if required. Any help appreciated

A compass graph would certainly be appropriate for this data, but that chart type is not available in Numbers.
You can fake it with a little work, though.
Arrange the data in pairs as shown. Note that the values in column C are expressed as negatives.
Create four Stacked Bar charts, one from each data pair. You will need to click the three bar icon that appears at the upper left of the selection to change it from horizontal to vertical. That makes Numbers consider the pair as parts of the same series, and stack the two bars.
Open the Chart Inspector and for each chart, remove everything except the actual bar, and for now, the Label on the X axis (if this helps identify which graph shows each pair). Set the Y Max to the maximum expected value, Steps to 1 and Y Min to the negative of the Max value. Use the Pen and Fill controls in the Toolbar to set the Fill colour to None and the Line to None.
Switch to the Metrics Inspector (ruler icon) and set the size of each chart to the same values (I used 0.5 wide and 4.88 high (with Max Y set to 10).
Drag (or use the arrow keys, with or without the shift key) the four charts into place.
Add as many circles (from the Shape button—be sure to set Fill to None) as you want and drage them into position.
I left the bars in the default colours to assist in lining them up correctly. Those colours can be changed by clicking on the individual bar, then using the Fill well.
Too fiddley? You could just dump the data into NeoOffice and use that to create a Compass chart.
Here's one produced from the same data set.

How to make editing cell to show up caret and taking keyboard event

Hello everyone:
I have the following problem with table editing.
1. using mouse clicking, the editing cell will have cursor and taking keyboard event.(no problem with it)
2. just type in data, it will show up in the selected cell, but the editing cell do not have cursor visible and also do not fire the keyboard event.
I have problem with this one. So how to make editing cell to have caret visible and taking keyboard event.

you should subclass JTable and overwrite two methods.
1. protected boolean processKeyBinding(javax.swing.KeyStroke ks,
java.awt.event.KeyEvent e,
int condition,
boolean pressed)
to store the current keyboard event,
2.public boolean editCellAt(int row,int column,java.util.EventObject e)
to fix the problem with isCellEditable and curret position and direct the event into proper place.

Okay so say I take some footage I just shot and I want the colour blue to ONLY show up and all the other colours turn black and white, how would I do this?
so ONLY blue will be in the footage, the other colours are black and white.

As stated, Leave Color Effect is exactly what you want. I'd like to put in a bit of a plug for Adobe Classroom in a Book Premiere Pro CS5, Adobe Press, out very soon, if not already on shelves where you are. The author covers this very Effect very well. Doubt that you will find a better tutorial on the Effect anywhere else.

EDIT: I see you mentioned that yourself but the header of your question was 'How to make SWF file work in interactive PDF'. Strictly speaking, forgetting the iPad, the answer would be: export the animation from InDesign to SWF, delete the animation and now place the exported SWF back on the page. Then export to interactive PDF.
Still won't work on iPad however!
On Desktop this will work in PDF *if* Flash player is installed on that desktop for Adobe reader/Acrobat 10 and later; versions 9 and earlier have 'build in' Flash players...

How does one change XY Graph Plot.Style property defaults OR Change the Properties od Individual Plots?

I have an XY graph with a variable (known) number of multiple plots. Because the number of plots can vary, the plot style is sometimes not what I want. I'm trying to use a property node in a for-loop to change the Plot.LineStyle, Plot.PointStyle, and Plot.Fill/PtColor properties for each of the plots in an XY graph. However, perhaps because the names are not static, the colors do not seem to be updating as I'd like, and I'm really unsure as to why this is happening. Strangely, the LineStyle and PointStyle do seem to be updating as I'd like.
Please see the attached ScatterColors.zip file which contains the main VI in question (SplitInGroupsScatterByOrder.vi) and two sub-VIs on which it depends. Thanks in advance for your help

Hello Pierre,
This dynamic color feature is still not present in 2009, much less 6.1. I have linked a discussion forum post here that discusses in detail a work around for addiing this functionality. While you may not be able to open their example VIs, the theory is described; such that, you may attempt to replicate in 6.1.
