How to make a label

I need to make a label that is 2.062 inches in diameter. I want to add a small picture to this and text. Every attempt over several days has failed. Is there a tutorial that would help or how can I do this?

I am assuming that you want a circular label, since you reference "diameter", rather than vertical and horizontal dimensions.
Elements does not provide you with the ability to make a template for a circular label with such close tolerance. It is not a drafting program.
You can open the grid and the rulers and the guides, use the Ellipse tool, or the Circular marquee tool, and drag out a circle (hold down the shift key), and come close, but no cigar!
If you have MS WORD, you can make a label-template:
http://www.labelplanet.co.uk/buy-round-labels.php.
Scroll down on this site for circular template measurements with diameters listed in mm.
In WORD, go to Mailings tab, Labels>Options>Label Details>New Label and enter the values from the chart.
If you can utilize ready-made templates, Avery has many for free download. www.avery.com

    Hi,
    May be you can do like, create a timer, and in when timer expired trigger,
    toggle the label's color
    may be the below sample code -- when-timer-expired trigger
    If Get_Item_Property( 'text_item4', FOREGROUND_COLOR )
          != Get_Item_Property( 'text_item4', BACKGROUND_COLOR ) Then
          Set_Item_Property( 'text_item4', FOREGROUND_COLOR, Get_Item_Property( 'text_item4', BACKGROUND_COLOR ) ) ;
    Else
          Set_Item_Property( 'text_item4', FOREGROUND_COLOR, 'r0g0b0' ) ;
    End if ;This i've done for textitem, same logic you can use for labels

    What are you trying ask exactly? Avery 18160 is listed as inkjet labels so obviously you need an inkjet printer.  Then you use whatever software you want that has label templates.  For example, Microsoft Word or iWorks Pages.  Those aren't the only way to make lables, but are the most common.

    When you open the default New Tab page - about:newtab - which has the Tiles and a Search Bar, the "focus" is in the Search Bar. You could change a hidden setting to have a blank page when you open a new tab if that's what you want - that will have the "focus" in the Location Bar . URL Bar.
    Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter.
    ''Accept the warning''
    Search field at the top to filter with this - '''browser.newtab.url'''
    Right-click the preference that appears below, and select '''Modify'''.
    Insert '''about:blank''' for the new string value.

  • How to make address labels on the pro

    how do i make address labels on the mac pro

    You need a database type software like the free LibreOffice which when you go to print, can select the standard Avery label format.
    You can buy the Avery labels you want in a office supply store, it should have a number or "compliant with Avery 6750" for instance.
    When you go to print your database, it will put the information you want into the correct label format when you go to print. So you select "Avery 6750" as your "paper option" instead of legal, letter etc.
    You place the labels paper side down in the printer,  top facing in and click print on the computer and the labels are printed.
    LibreOffice Database has the option of taking your Address book contents and importing it.
    Under the File > Wizard > Address Data Source.
    That's all I can help you with there. I haven't used LibreOffice to print out labels, so I don't know for sure if that capaicity is there or not, but it's a standard office practice for Office type software to do.
    It is possible to manually create your own layout, but you have to print over and over until you get all the text right over each label.

  • How to make fancy labels in AppleWorks 6?

    I want to make fancy labels with AppleWorks6.
    Some with icons in front of the data.
    Some with fancy shapes to use for scrapbook decoration.
    How am I to proceed?

    I mean the label has a fancy shape such as a heart or round shape. I would like to embed a icon and write my initials on it.
    The issue then becomes mostly one of making sure the icon and initials are in the right position on the page. That will involve a bit of trial and error with plain paper (less expensive than label stock!).
    Are the labels set out in a regular rectangular array? If not, then you'll have difficulty placing things correctly using a labels layout on a database document. Use a Draw document, and plan for a lot of trial and error before gettng it right.
    Are the labels on a standard size sheet (eg. US Letter size) of backing material? Standard size in this case means a paper size that your printer is able to handle, and that your printer driver lists as a choice in paper size, or will accept as a custom size. If not, all is not lost—just use the next larger size.
    Assuming all of your labels will contain the same icon and the same initials, they're essentially the same as return address labels—the initials are the return address, the icon is a graphic element placed behind the initials.
    Sharon Joiner's User Tips Library item Return Address Labels with AW Database provides excellent instructions for creating these, and with minor revisions can be applied to your labels.
    The revisions below apply to the instrctions in Sharon's post.
    In paragraph 2, measure the distance from the top edge of the paper backing to the highest point of a label in the first row. Use this as the Top margin. Similarly measure the distance from the left edge of the paper backing to the leftmost point of a label in the first column. Use this as the Left margin.
    In paragraph 4: Make sure that you choose New Layout (NOT New Labels Layout), then click the button for Labels. It's unlikely that your labels will match one of the listed Avery styles, so use Custom.
    You'll need three numbers:
    a count of how many columns of labels are on the page.
    The height of a row—this is the distance from the top of one label to the top of the label in the next row.
    The width of a column—the distance from the leftmost point of one label to the leftmost point of the next label in that row.
    Paragraph's 7 and 7a: Because you want the icon ('graphic element") to be behind the initials ("return address), you might find it useful to reverse the order of these two steps.

  • How to make the label UI Element as mantatory?

    please help me how to make the inputfield for the label (say id) as mantatory one?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Alagappan ,
           To make any field mantatory you have do coding requiered for input check.
    For user visibility you can make a field required by changing the state of your UI element to required.
    In normal Input Fields the asterisk will come on the left of the input field,
    It will be basically on the right hand side of the label having label for property bound to the input field.
    It will be like
    Name * = |''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''|
    But that is just for visibility purpose.
    To make it mandatory you need to do some coding during the save or validate or final action on the screen
    like :-
    data lo_nd_employee type ref to if_wd_context_node.
    data lo_el_employee type ref to if_wd_context_element.
    data ls_employee type wd_this->element_employee.
    data lv_pernr like ls_employee-pernr.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <EMPLOYEE> via lead selection
    lo_nd_employee = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_employee ).
    get element via lead selection
    lo_el_employee = lo_nd_employee->get_element( ).
    get single attribute
    lo_el_employee->get_attribute(
    exporting
    name = `PERNR`
    importing
    value = lv_pernr ).
    *Check the input here
    If lv_pernr is initial.
    get message manager
    data lo_api_controller type ref to if_wd_controller.
    data lo_message_manager type ref to if_wd_message_manager.
    lo_api_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    call method lo_api_controller->get_message_manager
    receiving
    message_manager = lo_message_manager

  • How to Make the label of the active tab-page BOLD?

    Hi All
    I am working on forms 10g(version 10.1.2.0.2 ) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 on windows 2000 platform.
    My requirement is to make the label of the active tab-page either in italics or with a different color or make it BOLD than the other pages of the canvas.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards
    Mohan

    there are no properties for those requirements on tab-pages. You can't do it.
    Setting italic for all Tabpage-Labels is possible, when you change it in the canvas-properties. But you can't change only one tabpage.
    One Solution is, what Jeneesh said: Active-Style. But only "Bold" and for the active tab.

  • How do you make address labels in Lion?

    I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make address labels or envelope labels from my address book?  I have done this before, but I recently upgraded my macbook pro to Lion, and now I can't figure it out!  I spent hours yesterday trying everything I could think of, but no luck.  I have tried using Pages, but still nothing!  Can anyone help me?

    Did you have an address list defined in your address book last year? If so, you should be able to access it in the new Address Book by clicking on "View" and "Groups" and then (hopefully) your previous list will be there. If it is, just select it and then go to Print. Under "Style" choose "Mailing Labels." Select Layout on the tab next to Labels, and then select the type of labels; then click Labels. Choose from the drop-down menu on the order --I think the default is postal code order. Choose whether or not to print the country. This should work!
    If you did not have a Group defined previously, you can go to File and New Group to create one.

  • How can I make a label for my chart that changes dynamically when I drag selection of data to adjacent column?

    I have a custom budget using Numbers '08 and have labeled a chart in previous versions of my budget but when I tried to update it for the new year I can't figure out how to make the label change dynamically as I drag the selected area to the adjacent column. I have checked Numbers Help and Tutorial videos as wellas the manual and have not found anything that comes close to helping but as I said I had it on previous versions but obviously don't remember how I did it and unfortuanately it is not a very intuitive feature. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    The linkage appears to be automatic, but when broken, does not reattach itself.
    Redoing the chart isn'r a long process, though, unless you've made extensive format changes to it. Here's my process, which started with a headerless table wiht the Month labels in Row 1 (and a Chart that had an "Untitled" label on the category axis, and ended with the table and chart shown below:
    Click on any cell in the table to activate it.
    Go Table > Add Header Row.
    Select the cells containing the month names. Copy.
    Select the cells in the same columns of the Header row. Paste.
    Select the table. If the Header for the current month is highlighted and the month label is on the table, Stop here.  If not (and it probably will not be), continue.
    Delete the existing Chart (or drag it aside to use as a colour and style reference)
    Unhide any hidden rows used in the Chart.
    Select the cells to be charted.
    Click the Series orientation control (¡¡¡) to change it. The control will turn 90° and move from the column highlight to the row highlight.
    Your table and chart should now resemble the one in the image above. Edit the style as needed and you're done.

    Barry
