Depends on when you purchased it, recovery manager was not bundled until 2006 on HP notebooks.

Not all titles can be edited. If you click on the title and then on the "T" above the viewer Font controls appear underneath. Non-changebale properties appear greyed out and you may find that all you type comes out as capitals. You have probably chosen a title which can't be changed in which case the solution is to try another one which can be modified the way you want.

I have a side menu that shows the main headings only, when clicked it displays the rest of the menu using and slide effect, with an option to close the menu, on reversing the slide. This all works perfectly but what i want to be able to do is, when a users opens a menu and then uses that menu to navigate to another page, on that new page i want that menu that was opened to stay open on this next page.

I have tried setting a variable in the on click event then in the function myFuncDisplay() doing if else clauses to check if the variable was set and if so displaying the div as block in that function, expecting just that menu to display opened in sunsequent pages, it didn't work, itstead it displayed all menus open?

thanks for your reply, i am not actually using the spry menu, i am using the 'blind' effectthat I have adapted as per the code given, I wanted to make a menu that would open on click and the effect i have used works well, now however I want the effect to remain open on different pages, as explained. i am looking for a way of adapting the function that makes the rest of the menu hidden on page load. So on page load the menu is hidden as per adapted code, apart from the menu heading, if the menu heading is clicked the menu opens, with an option to close it, if the user clicks on a link in the menu the new pages loads and the menu is closed as per the onload instruction , I want a way to distinguish if the menu was clicked in one page it will recognise that and in the next page will not hide that particular menu until the user closes it themselves.

How to make dvd on new iMovie

I just realized that the new iLife does not include iDVD. Does anyone have any advice on how to make a DVD of a slideshow trailer I made in iMovie. I guess Apple decided that making DVDs is obsolete. Unfortunately my 90 yo Grandma does not think so and she would love to see the Birthday slideshow we made for her on a DVD player or laptop.
Alternatively, how do I move the iDVD software from my old iMac (OSX 10.5.8) to my new iMac (with Lion)? I just tried burning the application onto a DVD (drag the iDVD icon to a disc) and transferring it that way but somehow it didn't bring over the themes and I was not able to use it on my new iMac.

Do you still have the install disk with iDVD7 on it? That would be the only way to install it on your new iMac.
Otherwise you will have to purchase iLife 11 - soon before they stop selling it!

A. There is a BUG in iDVD - reg Chapters
If You started an iDVD project - imported movie - find a fault => return to movie editor - fix it => return to iDVD. It (iDVD) will notice and ask You to up-date or Cancel.
Non work OK
Result is that all Chapters in iDVD Project now will point to Chapter one.
Medicine: Create a brand new iDVD project and re-import movie - and it works again. (and no turning back)
B. CHAPTER placing in iMovie or FinalCut - MUST BE DONE RIGHT
- NO Chapter mark in VERY BEGINNING OF MOVIE - else iDVD get lost
- No Chapter mark in or within 2 seconds from any transition - this can be worked around by first Export movie as FULL Quality QuickTime .mov ---> Import this in iMovie as a Brand New Project - Now all transitions etc. are flatted out (can not be edited more) - and in this Movie You can set Chapter mark at Your Liking except in very beginning.
C. HowTo - get movie into iDVD
- DO NOT - Share to iDVD - as resulting DVD will be BAD !
- Share to Media Browser - AND AS - Medium - not HD or other resolution as this too degrades the final DVD quality.
- in iDVD Import movie from Media button (down to the right) and from here / MOVIES
- Drag and drop Your exported movie into the big Menu Window to the left. Try to avoid "Drop-zones" as this don't import but creates a small movie button - but not the full movie.
(Best resulting DVD You get by not using iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 - But iMovie HD6 or FinalCut any version - as they can deliver a so much better picture.)

I have a menu on the top of the page on a sidebar-sort. I was wondering how you could make it move to the left, not until the scrollbar reaches the end of the page, but when I say so. If i put the key position under the menu, it disappears. If i put it at the top of the page, my only choice is to use the Final motion, but that one moves until the scrollbar ends. So how can I do it?

just bought an imac with leopard. Q:in the finder tool bar how do you turn on the sharing menu? the default in the preferences has it turned on - but it doesnt show in my finder toolbar. help. i plan to use my macbook and imac with shared files that i can update from either computer,

goto the finder menu->finder-> preferences. Click on the "sidebar" tab and make sure that "connected servers" and "bonjour computers" boxes are checked. This will enable "Sharing" section in Finder sidebar. Mind you, it will only show up if there is anything to share. If not you won't see it.

How to make Spry menu and submenu backgrounds different

Hi all. I have a horizontal spry menu bar, and i'm using a gradient image for the background of the main menu, but I want the submenu to just be a solid color. I figure i should just be able to use css for this solid BG, but I can create an image no problem if need be. I just think it looks unprofessional to have multiple segments of a horizontal gradient stacked vertically. I know this is possible, the second to last example on this link demonstrates but doesn't explain:

The idea with putting the new styles *after* the original styles is that they are logically similar to but 'sub' styles to existing styles. In fact, you could probably put them way at the bottom, but if you wanted to edit them you might not find them again easily. I was trying to keep similar style rules together.
