  • How to make the Photo Gallery module responsive?

    Hi,
I am using Fondation and have a photo gallery on this page www.sunnysideinstantlawn.com.au/gallery made from the Photo Gallery Module in BC.  How do I make it responsive?
I know there are alternatives out there using jquery but I would like to continue using the photo gallery module if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Hi BBowyer
I really like Pretty Photo (http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/) - how do I implement it on this page http://www.sheepconnectsa.com.au/gallery?
I understand jquery but it gets abit confusing with implementing it on this page.  Would it be best for me to create a web app and do it?

  • How to make Web Photo Gallery with 3 columns of thumbnails?

    Hi all
I have used web photo galery to build a few sites, but always with thumbnails in a single, vertical column, within a frame that scrolls. and i have never mch liked that scrollbar.
I have come across this page:
    http://www.mariannekolb.com/recent.html
which, as i look at the code, may not even be using web photo gallery, but is very similar.
anyhow, does anyone in this group have any idea how this multiple column thumbnail (without scroll bar) is accomplished?
    thanks

I see how the css works, and it is much superior to alternatives I have seen.
But I fear I may be overlooking something:  are you manually coding the html, writing the captions, and creating the thumbs?  or is there a program that generates these?
Manually coded the CSS. Used Photoshop to optimize images, watermark them and create thumbnails.
Used Dreamweaver to insert thumbnails, full-size images and caption text.
If you want software to do the heavy lifiting for you, look at jAlbum.

  • How to make existing Photo gallery module responsive?

I could not find any tutorials how to change the existing photo gallery module so it would be responsive. Is there a solution already?

The link I put above maybe?
CSS - Every element has a default display type but every element can have its block level changed.
A span is an inline element but you can turn it into a block level element. A table element is a table or table cell display type but you can turn it into block level. This is all CSS2/1 stuff so cross browser compatible (but if your doing media queries and responsive the old browsers are not considered anyway) and very straight forward.

I like the way the pics open in new window exactly the size
of the picture with even black border on all sides, and close upon
clicking. Is this an active html page or is each picture page
created separately? (I could do that - don't want to though...)
Would this effect be easy for a intermediate level person to
create? Would like to find a tutorial. Or just the right

That was done with a Dreamweaver extension by Michael Brandt

  • How to create a photo gallery so photos on the page can be scaled? [was: Flash CS6]

    Hello!
I have a schoolproject where I am going to make a photogallery to pur inside a dreamweaver page. I know how to make the actuall gallery, but the difficulty part is that I have to make it so you can scale the photos when they are on the page.
Do anyone know how to do this?

If your page isn't responsive or at least % width, your gallery images can't rescale to layout.
However you could use a modal window like Fancybox that invokes full-sized images when thumbnails are clicked.  See this example:

  • How to make a photo STAY in the assets panel for future use for In browser editing?

How to make a photo STAY in the assets panel for future use for In browser editing?
When I delete a photo from a page, it does not stay in the assets panel. My client uses in browser editing daily. Once a week he changes a photo just for a day, then needs the previous photo to replace it. The original photo is not in the asset panel (or folder) for him to choose.
When you upload a photo, it has an arrow in the asset panel. How do you use this as an asset?

Sure ... right mouse click on  your page and choose 'Exclude Page from Menus' :-)

  • How to make a photo small so I can send it by e-mail

want to know how it make a photo small on my desktop so I
can send it by e-mail, thank you

I suppose there might be an extension, but you would be better off using a free photo editor.
I use "IrfanView" (irfanview.com) to work with photographs.
I use "PicPick" (picpick.org) to work from a screen print ("PrtSc") or capture to crop and annotate.
    *Also see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Posting_a_screenshot_on_the_forum#Windows
    *also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot
Something simpler may or may not be:
:Picnik (picnik.com), online photo editing, fix photos, crop, resize, rotate, artsy effects, fonts, shapes.
You also have alternatives storing the picture and./or elsewhere and providing a link
    * imageshack.com
    * dropbox.com
If you have access to the image through Firefox, this extension looks promising
    *ResizR :: Add-ons for Firefox (10 KB)<br>https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/resizr/
Saving files to your desktop is not the best place.

  • How to make a photo half black and white with select colours

    Hey,
Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to make a photo black and white with abit of colour like the one attached... on CS4?
    Cheers

Haven't seen you attached file as it takes a long time for attachments to load on this forum.  Try little camera icon instead.
EASIEST way to have B&W in areas is to add Hue and Saturation adjustment layer.  Use sliders to make B&W.  Next paint on layer MASK, with black, to restore color in areas you want to show color.

  • No spry menu, how to create a photo gallery?

Ok so I used spry collapsible panels as well as spry widgets to create my photo galleries and slide shows, now that they are gone from CC I do not know what to do?!
I tried using jquery but not sure how to make a slideshow or gallery from it. PLEASE HELP
I am using DW CC latest version

What kind of gallery are you looking for?  Sliding?  Look at Cycle2
Modal Window (Lightbox)?  Look at Fancybox2
    Cycle2 Example:

    Fancybox2 Example:

  • How to make a photo like this? (footballer)

    Dear All,
I am enclosing a photo that I found in the Internet. This is a footballer photo.
May I know how I can make a photo like this in terms of color and texture in Photoshop? Many thanks!
    Best regards,
    Keith

What you'll want to do is pick a photo with something like a person or an animal in the foreground. Then, use the Lasso tool to trace around the outside. Separate the person and the background into two or more layers, depending on how much you want to change. Up the saturation on the background, and apply a blur under the filter menu. It might just be the angle the photo was taken from, but they could have possibly added a light effect behind him as well. As for the guy, it looks like they upped the contrast and lowered brightness. Since i don't know from what angle the photo was taken, those are the only effects I can say were most likely used.
    Hope this helps,
    Cole
