  • How to make a highlight video from a DVD?

    I want to make a highlight video from a dvd.  How do I get this dvd into iMovie?  I tried the import feature but I am getting an error stating it doesn't see any movies on the DVD.

    Video calling is a feature offered by your service provider.  You'd first have to sign up for the service then you'd need a phone that supports it.  Currently, I'm not aware of any BlackBerry phone that supports it.  The Chinese movie you saw might not have been technically accurate.  Case in point, I saw the Green Hornet movie recently and he has a car that does loads of cool things.  Turns out, if you watch the DVD extras, most of those stunts were fake.

  • How to make a music video using flash

    am trying to make a music video for a uni project, one of the things I'm trying to do in the video is to fade in a word at a time in whilst keeping them all aligned properly as a sentence - is there an easy way to do this?
    Any other hints or tips on how to make a video but one especially for music would be much appreciated !! I'm just using Adobe Flash and NOT Adobe Premier, thank you !!

    no, they would need to be created dinamically as the possibilities are unlimited,
    I was thinking of saving the inputs in variables (starting in a) with previous value 0 following this logic:
    if (a==0) {a=36}
    else if (b==0) {b=36}
    else if (c==0) {c=36}
    where 36 is the frame where this button clip starts.
    then, when the user is done i would do this at the end frame of each clip
    if (a=/=0) {frame=a; a=0; goto frame}
    else if (b=/=0) {frame=b; b=0; goto b}
    my only problem here would be how do record the video...

  • How to make HP Mediasmart Video reads .MKV files?

     Hi there. I've recently bought a HP DV7T-2000 notebook and I've got really excited about this product. It's really awsome! The only "problem" till now is that I can't play .mkv files using HP Mediasmart Video, even after installing the matroska codec. I can play .mkv files using any other video player, but HP Mediasmart Video.
    Does anyone know how to make this work?
    For the records, I'm running it over Windows 7 Professional 64 bits.
    Thanks for the help.

    Are you saying export my processed video to .movs or DNxHD and give to him?  The terms are all new to me.  When I last edited with FCP it was with DVCam footage captured from the cassettes.  Would he be able to then import the audio from the SxS card and sync it on his time line with those kind of files?
    Nothing was deleted....straight 1 hr 2 minute single take.... broken down to the smaller files both by the Nanoflash and the SxS card..  I would drop the soundtrack from SxS onto my time line and sync it up for him first with the noise processed Nano video files if I could figure out why it isn't following the video onto the time line?  Why does the 1080 60P codec from the Sony NEX 5N still camera bring the audio along automatically and the file fromn the Sony PMW 320 does not?  There must be a lot of EX1 and EX3 shooters here.  Please, what do I need to do with the buttons or targeting or settings for the 2 audio tracks on time line for those files to have the audio come along?  From the SxS files I imported, both the ones that say "CLPR" and right below that, "CUEUP.XML"  play the sound in the browser source window.

  • How to make a DVD video with bonus iPod ready vids included

    I'd like to make a standard video DVD for playing in a typical DVD player. But somewhere on the disc, I was also thinking of putting on a bunch of iPod ready videos that people could just copy directly onto their hard drives.
    I'm hoping someone might have some advice on how to get this extra content onto the DVD.
    Thanks for any help.

    Since the folder content is not going to be played on a set top player, you might as well simply add a menu with text to inform the user that the content is there. You might try using DVD@ccess links to get the content to play when in a computer, but to be honest, since you are providing video only I wouldn't think it worth the effort.
    You could also consider linking to a simple HTML page that itself references the footage so that the user sees a familiar web browser and has a page with 'download' links on it. You'll need to create your microsite as you would any other web site of this kind, and then put it all in a single folder. Point your @ccess link to the single folder and the 'index.htm' page will load into the default web browser.... as long as the user has got @ccess installed on their computer.
    Given the problematic nature of this piece of software, it is often not worth the effort. If you have access to a PC then you should look at Sonic eDVD as a far better alternative.

  • How to make an html5 video play from Internet Explorer 9?

    Hello,
    I have converted a swf eLearning video to html5 thanks to the cp converter. I can have the html output file played from Chrome but not from Internet Explorer 9. Could someone advise me, do I need some code to make it work? Thank you in advance for your help.
    Emilie

    One of the quick and easy fixes for your problem is to go into your source code and in the <head> change the following:
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="chrome=1,IE=9" />
    <meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=yes, width=360" />
    <title>IntroVideo</title>
    Where it says ,IE=9"/> simply change the 9 to an 8....
    this tells IE9 to act like IE8 and makes all the video content way more accessable!
    hope this helps!
    Cheers!

  • How to make a slideshow/video similar to the "photo a day" videos?

    I was just wondering what the best way to make a slideshow/video simial to the "photo a day" videos like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B26asyGKDo
    I'm not looking to do one of my face, I just want to do one of all my photos set to music, its a couple hundred pics and I want them to go just as fast (blink and you'll miss them) with no transitions or effects. (It's kind of the same, a progression of sorts).
    I have the standard iphoto, power point, imove/idvd stuff that comes with the mac, but is there something else that I should use?
    Thanks for any help!

    For editing at the level of control - less than once second edits - you'll need to use a movie editor with a timeline. Imovie for Final Cut.

  • Can't figure out how to make a working video in iMovie 6.0.4

    So I have a MacBook Pro that was given to me by a friend, and it's from 2006 -- ergo, the older version of iMovie.
    My problem is two-pronged. First, let me start out by saying that the videos I'm making just involve inserting an MP3 and a static image (i.e., they are music videos). And, in the end, I want to upload them to YouTube.
    Problem #1: when my movies have successfully uploaded (this is something that doesn't happen anymore, as I say below) and I view them on YouTube, the static image I've attached to the video disappears after one second. The rest of the movie is sound with a black screen. This is especially confusing, because I watch the videos in Quicktime and VLC beforehand to make sure that the image if there for 100% of the video, and it always is. I've also made sure to export the image from iPhoto (it was infuriating to find out that 6.0.4 makes it impossible to drag and drop images) and, when applying it, extend its length to the length of the song, which I take from iTunes. See image below for what this looks like.
    Problem #2: currently, the videos simply will not upload to YouTube, making me wonder if there is a problem with the way I'm exporting them (even though I have changed nothing in the process since the time they were uploading successfully). I am exporting on Expert Settings, since that's how I did it on my previous laptop (a PowerBook G4 from 2005), and I'm saving the file as a .mov. I've attached a screenshot below showing the specifications of the file.
    Thank you for any help.

    I'm not very familiar with animation using Photoshop. I have a small amount of experience using Illustrator, but not much. I'm not sure what a normal timeline is.
    What I'm trying to do should be very simple. I want to emulate a tv screen flickering on, using 2 white bars that expand outwards from the center of a blackish background.

  • IDVD'08: how to make back button, video chapters and stretch pictures?

    Hi!
    I am new to iDVD'08 so I have 4 questions:
    1) In main menu I created a submenu called "video". It opens new screen with a list of videos. I want to have a back button on this screen too. It should return to a main menu. How can I make it?
    2) I have one big movie in iMovie'08 and want to burn it in iDVD'08 with chapters. So that different events in this big movie could be easily selected. I dont want to crop with big movie into pieces in iMovie. So how can I create such a buttons that point to different parts of movie?
    3) All that dropzones and buttons with preview are fantastic... But! How can I tune photo assigned to them? You know that picture tuning dialog: when you select photo and then can zoom in/out and move photo. Where such a dialog in iDVD?
    4) If I create a button with preview (for example, with a shape of heart) for submenu than folder icon is displayed in that preview. Hoe to place photo or movie just on a preview zone of such button?

    Q: I was curious is there a PRO analog of iMovie and iDVD like Aperture comparing to iPhoto.
    A: Your only options of apple video editing software (with the exception of QT Pro) are as follows:
    1. iMovie 7 (consumer grade video editing software)
    2. iMovie 6 (Free Download from apple's web site assuming you own iLife'08)
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/iMovieHD6
    Also consumer grade however this software is actually better for adding custom chapter markers, exporting back to the camcorder when needed, working with a Timeline, etc.
    3. FCE (I consider this app as pro-sumer software mainly because it's better than iMovie and very much like FCP; with the exception that it cannot be used to open existing FCP projects. That can only be done with apple's FCS 2)
    4. FCP (part of FCS 2) Apple's Professional / High end Video editing software.

  • How to make a 2d video into a 3d video (the 3d you view with 3d glasses!)

    hey, i know this isn't so much of a specific question on Final Cut Pro, but i figured if there was anywhere to ask people this question, it would be on here...
    i've tried googleing this and looking it up on yahoo and i cant find anything on it anywhere. i was wondering if anyone knows a way to make an already 2d video into a 3d video.
    i know i could make it in 3d if i use two cameras only seperated about 3 inches, but i wanted to know if there was a way to take an already 2d video and make it into a 3d video.
    let me know if anyone knows a way to do this or if you have a link to a site to explain how to do this, thanks!!

  • How to make a DVD video with iDVD without using themes

    How can I record my DVD without using iDVD themes. I do not care about the selections. I just want a simple slide show showing only photos.

    Hello puzzledbon,
    Than you for the question.  You can make a OneStep DVD from a movie to avoid adding a theme to you DVD.  Before you can do that, you will have to create your slideshow and export it in iPhoto.
    Use the steps in the section titled "Make a saved slideshow" in the following article to create a slideshow in iPhoto '11:
    iPhoto '11: Make a slideshow
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2333
    Next, you will have to export the slideshow as a movie using the steps in this article:
    iPhoto '11: Export a slideshow
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2428
    If you are using iPhoto '09, you can use the steps in this video to create and export your slideshow:
    iPhoto '09: Create and Share a Slideshow
    http://support.apple.com/kb/vi14
    Exporting the slideshow as a movie will give you a video file that you can use in conjunction with the steps in the following article to make a DVD without a theme:
    iDVD '09 (7.x): Burning a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
