How to make a row editable in a click to edit table programatically?

I have a table in my page in which I can do inline addition as well as select and add addition (which will programatically add multiple rows). And my table is click to edit (there are few editable columns in the table).
So, suppose if I add a row say R1 by inline addition, then this row is coming as highlighted as well as selected (i.e editable). But now suppose I add another row R2 through Select and Add (which will open a popup table from where I can select multiple rows, and clicking on OK, I will add those rows programatically in the table VO), it is coming as highlighted but it is not coming as selected i.e now R1 is selected and editable but R2 is highlighted. (I have done setCurrentRow programatically but that is only making the row highlighted and not editable. Is there any way to make the row editable also programatically?

adobe pro 8: how to make an existing secure encrptyed form unfillable after editing? Is it even possible to do in adobe pro 8?
For work there's a secure and encrptyed form. I want to write in the form and save it so it will be unfillable / uneditable.
this form is not created by myself, and already secure and encrypted.
I am aware that in other recent adobe pro versions on how to do this, since they have a " save as a copy" function in the file menu. (adobe 8 doesnt have)
I've also tried printing as a PDF, but due to encryption of the form, that doesn't come out great.
Upgrading to a recent version of adobe pro is not an option.
I've also tried exporting as a picture files and then recombinding them to a pdf. I dont like this method and find it time consuming.
If possible please inform me of a way to solve this problem , step by step with adobe pro 8's features.
or
show me the equivalent method to how recent versions "save a copy" of a secure encrypted form on adobe pro 8.

Well after you use save a copy, and the security is disabled, you could then re enable security features and disable editing of the form.
EDIT: I just tested , with a PDF is in secure mode, even using a "save a copy" feature wouldn't work.
Would finding a program to desecure the pdf be a possible option?
Or is there a way to copy the form (with all it's editable fields) and paste it as an unsecure pdf?
You would then be able to make new security features.

How to make first row as selected in af:table

Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and ADF-BC in my application.
In all the pages across my application we have multi select enabled for the table[af:table].
But when the pages are displayed,the first row is not selected by default.
My requirement is to display first row as selected across all the tables in my app.
I have the selectionListenerset as for example selectionListener="#{bindings.RSCMapVO2.collectionModel.makeCurrent}" in all the pages.
Please suggest on how to make first row as selected.

How to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table ?

Hello. I am developing the accounting application of journal entry. In journal line, I use the image "magnifying glass" next to each chart field. When we click on the magnifying glass, it's supposed to come up a look up table( a chart and name mapping table), and we select the proper chart to input into the chart field.
I understand to create another record and page for the look up table. But I don't understand how to make a magnifying glass link to a look up table. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

This is how it works,
Table A (which stores chart fields). You have used fields from table A on a page so that users can input data.
You don't need to put a magnifying glass image or create a new page to achieve look up page.
all you need to do is create another table say Table B which should have the chart field and corresponding description you want to show on lookup page. Then open record-field property of the chart field on Table A and mention Table B as prompt table.

Hi there! Just want to know how to make a category highlighted after user click on it, so he will able to track on which category he is currently on?
I've already created 3 categories (links) through creating library elements, I already have the hover effect I made through CSS external stylesheet, everything works, but the category is not highlighted when I browse within it.

How to make a row non-editable depending on a db column value

I've an editable report region and the requirement is to make the row non-editable according to the value in one of the column. Like if the value for that column is null the row should be editable else non-editable. Any option to do this in Oracle APEX.

I assume you are using a tabular form. In that case, you would have to run a loop in Javascript to read all the rows in the Form. The example is given below. You can use Firebug in Firefox to identify your field names and replace f02, f03 and f04 with your field names.

I have ALV grid output using oops ALV concept, in my output i have a checkbox as first column when i select this checkbox and press a push button 'Print' which is there above ALV grid that particular line in output table should get selected and i need to code some logic for printing selected row.
how to make the particluar row in the output internal table to be selected and where to write the logic for print once it is pressed?

As explained by Uwe, when we change a field ( say check box ) in ALV grid, the view (frontend) changes (showing the tick mark) but the changed data ( normally ) is not transfered to the backend.
We can initiate this data transfer by just registering the cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_modified edit event

go_grid->set_ready_for_input( 1 ).

Now as soon as we check a checkbox, the data_changed event is triggered.
This initiates data transfer to the backend and the checkbox field in internal table is updated.

Hi Carol,
It depends on whether you want the numbers to move with the rows if and when you sort, or if you always want the rows numbered top to bottom.
There's a function that returns the row number: ROW(). Placing that in a cell always displays the number of the row. If you want to number once and then let the numnbers follow the data around, you can Fill with a sequence by typing "1" in the first row and "2" in the second row. Then select both cells and drag the Fill handle down the table to extend the series. The fill handle is the little open circle in the lower right corner of the selection.

    In Module Pool , in table control , I've all the rows in a specific column as "read only". However, with a specific "if statement" I want one row of that column as editable.

How to make a row enabled for lead selection and make other Rows disabled?

What I require is:
In a webdynpro table , which can have multiple rows, I want to make the rows which are retrieved fom backend as disabled for selection.
And when I add a new row (using an ADD functionality) , this newly added row should only be enabled for lead selection.
The Table property "enabled" can be assigned a context , and can be used to control the disabling of whole table.But then if I add the new row to this table, even this will be disabled.
I can set lead selection to a the new row, but if the whole table is disabled, this won't work.
Please suggest a solution for this.

Do not set the enabled flag to the whole table but to the editors of each column. Bind the enabled property to a calculated boolean flag in the data source node. In the get method of this flag add a code that will make the editor enabled only if it belongs to the lead selection element.
Now do not allow the selection of rows in the table (there is a property for this, perhaps is named rows selection I don't remember well now), but change the lead selection of the data source node to the desired element when you add the element programatically.

We have a table that is populated with data from a database read. One of columns in the read acts as a flag. If it is found that particular row is suppose to be readonly. During the read a check is done and if it is is found we call a simple javascript function that should make that row readonly.

The colour and disable functions work fine but I can't make the readOnly work. Any help would be great. The cells are a combination of dropdowns and input fields.

You can't set readonly attribute for cells, because there's no such attribute for cells (tag <td>) in HTML DOM. It will not raise any javascript error, because javascript and HTML DOM allow you to add your customized attribute. In your case "readOnly" will treated as customized attribute.
In HTML DOM, cells was treated as a container inside row (tag <tr>), it's not an input, that's why it doesn't have readonly property.
However you can disable all DOM inside cells by set its disabled attribute into true, and that's what your previous code do. But becarefull, if you do this, you can't get all value inside that cell when you submit the Form.
Usually if I'm facing this problem, I will update the disabled attribute into false, just before submit the form.

1. If you want to disable all cells in one row, just disable the row, it will automatically disable all cells inside it, it will improve your javascript performance.
2. Your javascript will only work for IE, if you want it to work with other browser, change "document.all[]" with "document.getElementById()"

It can be frustrating having to forward to the last platback position when resuming viewing a media file.

If you load the file into iTunes then Front Row will then remember its last playback position.
Not ideal I know, but it appears to be the only workaround currently.
