Hi all,
I am using Flash cs6 on an iMAC running 10.7.2
I would like to know if anyone could please point me to a tutorial, showing "how to create a scroll bar with buttons". I am having a heck of a time finding a tutorial.

There is a canvas container where am adding charts in separate windows.
So whenever a new chart is added the scroll bar needs to set the focus on the present chart window.
For this i made the functionality for the canvas container to scroll whenever a new chart is added using the below code
canvasContainer.verticalScrollPosition = canvasContainer.maxVerticalScrollPosition;
But the calculations for the vertical position are not precise...
Is there anything else I should do to make the scroll happen automatically as the chart windows get added in the container ??

I'm used to work with a similar program as Muse. In there we can create a single button and link them together into a navigation bar. I have tried all sorts of tutorials but none of them is discussing this possibility.
To summorize. The idea is to create a button in photoshop and to use this as a theme to build a navigation bar. Possible or not and how? Thanks for assistance. Rgds Rufin

No, not really. I used to work with XARA up till now. And being an Adobe Cloud user I think it a bit silly using two different systems. In XARA I can create a custom button and turn them into a navbar. For your information I include a few links to sites I created with Xara and I would like to know if I can create the same type of navbars with Abobe Muse. I already found out that all the other functions are available and some work a lot better in Muse, but I’m stuck on the navbar issue. I know I can create a button in Adobe PS and use it in Muse. But I didn’t manage to figure out how to create a navbar in Muse on basis of a button created in PS.

How to get a scroll bar to the applications popup by default when clicked the applications folder from the dock? If I have so many applications that they do not fit in the default area, I have to find out myselft that I have to scroll the content before the scroll bar appears. This leads to "where is my missing applications questions" by the novice users with Mountain Lion.

System Preferences > General > Show scroll bars.
Click the button by the side of "Always".

Hey Ananya,
I believe what you want to do is possible, but it will not be
easy. If you want to add a scroll bar that will scroll the graph
back and forth but keep the axis set, you would want to add a
horizontal or vertical scrollbar. Then you would create an event
handler for the scroll event. You would have to manually plot
different data within this scroll event. Unfortunately, there is
not really a built in way to do this with the Measurement Studio plot
control.

Scrolling bar with external text

Hi,
I'm trying to create a scroller bar with external text on Flash, but not suceeding much. I want to do it in AS 2.0, as my whole website is created in AS 2.0. I found a tutorial on Kirupa for Flash MX 2004, but does not work with Flash CS4, which is what I'm running.
What I need is, basically, to have a scroll bar to scroll up and down an external text (XML or .txt). I just don't seem to be able to do it. Also, is there a way of customizing the scroll bar?

Hey, I had to do a VERY similar thing for a student project a
few months ago. If you go to
Flashkit.com, you can find
tutorials on how to import XML and CSS or XSL. I was able to do it
and I don't know a lot of actionscript. If you want to see how I
used it, go to
the University of Scranton's MIT

I tried putting in one but the SwingScrollPane requires SwingComponent.
How do I put my fx nodes inside it.
I could not find any way to cast the node objects into SwingComponent.

Give the first paragraph an ID, such as "first", and wrap the paragraphs you want to hide in a <div> with another ID, such as "more". Then add the following block of JavaScript just before the closing </body> tag of the page:
