How to make a shortcut?

In the Finder, the shortcut Shift-⌘-A brings up the Applications window while Shift-⌘-D shows the desktop. Is it possible to set other Finder shortcuts e.g. to bring up a documents window. I can't figure out how to do it using System Preferences - Keyboard Shortcuts.

Yes, isn't it silly that A) there's no built-in shortcut and B) there's no menu command for it so you can't create one from Kbd Shortcuts!
But you can use Finder > Preferences [General] and set new windows to automatically open to Documents, which means Command-N will open the Documents folder.

Well I have been searching in the internet a lot of articles that has many shorcuts but no one could help me. Anyways what I want is to know if there is a shortcut to add a selected song to a playlist or if there is not how to make one?
Here's the situation:
When you click on the options there's a menu that apears like this, after that you'll see in the blue arrow that indicates ''new playlist from selection'' and at the right apears the shortcut key that you can use. BUT when you look the red arrow you see that there's no option on the keyboard .. That's what I want.. to know what's the keyboard shortcut.

It has a shortcut, of course.
Here are all its details just in case it helps ...

I have two beginner's books, neither of which mentions anything beyond the command prompt.

How to make mutiple shortcut keys in one text entry box

I'm trying to make F8 and Enter work in one text entry box and only one because I need to make the scoring work the way I want it to. I have made both F8 and Enter work, however they are both in seperate text entry boxes when I want both to work in the same text entry box... Please Help, this will solve alot of problems I've been having.

Ok so I tried using advanced actions and failed... here's my attempt on putting 2 shortcuts in one text entry box with different entries like the problem described earlier on this thread:
Note: I have 2 TEB in one slide I tried using in this action.. 1 has variable name PF8, the other has PF82, where I'm trying to have PF82 contain both actions of both TEBs.
1. Went into advanced actions.
2. Action name: Linking2inone
3. Made it a conditional action.
4. In "IF" attempted to use both any and all conditions are true
5. Also in "IF" PF82 contains PF8
6. Actions Jump to Slide 11
7. updated action successfully.
Then I closed advanced actions. I tried making the PF8 TEB have "no action" when correct and tested it... didn't work... then I made PF8 TEB have Jump to slide 11 when correct, cut and pasted it to another slide because I thought that PF8 TEB as a seperate TEB in the same slide was messing with the Advanced Action I'm trying to perform. Therefore, since PF8 was just in another slide, PF8 wouldn't be deleted still having the same action value in advanced actions having PF82 contain the action of PF8; but this failed as well...

How to make web shortcuts use icon provided by website rather than default

I'm a new Mac user, and I find it hard to use web shortcuts on my desktop and dock, because when I drag them from my browser to there, they all get the at sign on a spring icon, rather than the default icon provided by the website, which shows up next to the URL in the browser. Is there some setting that will allow it to use and keep that icon when I drag shortcuts?

I guess it could be interpreted as a shame that you can not get the favicon to stick to the desktop, different anyway. As Thomas A Reed suggested above, the link itself can receive a custom icon.
The advantage of creating a folder is other associated +files, receipts and links+ can be included in the stack with the link itself.

How to make a shortcut on the Mac to Restart in Windows? (Boot Camp)

Okay Ive seen a few of these threads so please dont tell me to look at other ones. Basically I run Flight Simulator X on Windows and my Flight Instruction CD's only work on Windows but all other work I do on the Mac side. I find it a real pain having to shut down, hold option blah blah.. and I really like in Windows where it has "Restart in Mac OS X" Is there anyway to have this on my Mac that says "Restart in Windows"
Preferably an item on the apple menu or as an icon on the desktop etc.
I have seen something about automater telling me to go into system prefs. etc but I honestly do not want to mess about with any of that, people are saying go into Startup Disk and select windows but wouldnt that make windows the default startup?
Please could somebody give me a solution to this... with the least technical 'tasks'. I just want to avoid System Prefs.

I hope guys you will able to help me, I spent dozen portion of time to figure out how it works, but still did't move nowhere. So, my situation is:
When I go to iBooks and I want to choose the specific word and pressing the shortcut that will normally working in any other application(any page in Safari, notes, mail and e.t.c.) and allows me to hear the word that I am choosing, but instead of this nothing is occurring! It will words only if I
1. Go to Edit - Speech - Start speaking
or
2. Mark the specific work and press - More - Start Speaking
I want to use my time efficienly and know how to make my shortcut that I was set up (System Preferences - Dictation & Speech - Change Key) will works not only in any page in Safari, notes, mail and e.t.c. but in my iBooks.

I also have the same problem concerning window resizes etc. The stack trace produced is exactly the same as yours and the bugs sound the same.
My program also works perfectly fine in the Microsoft JVM, but runs into problems as soon as it is run in the Sun environment.
If you have managed to solve this problem since you posted it, could you please let me know how you did this.

That is controlled by the web browser you are using. It is called Auto Fill in most of them. I don't use Safari so I'm not sure how that works in that browser.

I had to reset my pc '(Windows 8.1) after having had the message that entroy pints couldn't be found. Since then it's impossible to make shortcuts in Firefox. After having made a shortcut and put it on the desk, it's the start page (google.be) that appears.

Make sure that Firefox is set correctly as the default browser.

control-click on the Music folder and select "make alias". drag the alias to your Public folder. you can also just commandoptiondrag the music folder to the Public folder and it will create an alias there directly.

E72 - How to configure application shortcut list

I'm trying to reconfigure the Home Page on my newly acquired E72. I understand how to select the application shortcuts to be used. What I don't understand is how to make an application appear in the list I can choose from. If I install a new application (or remove an old one) is there a way of editing this list ?

Are you sure the Noki bookmarks aren't stored in the web browser somewhere? If not, then that really is strange.
I don't know if anybody here can give a more technical answer. If I had to guess, I'd say the application list springs from one of the .rsc files commonly installed with a .sis package. See C:\resource\apps\ (files usually/always protected) and also get yourself a copy of SisXplorer (Windows program). There is a Symbian OS book available free online at http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Symbian_OS_Internals and also a Nokia developers board at http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Discussion/ (currently offline, after being hacked) where you could likely get more information.
And if I've way overblown the question, the straightforward answer is that the list is OS-maintained and protected from user tampering. If those Noki bookmarks aren't stored in the browser, you'll likely just have to ignore them.
