How to make a smart list of photos containing any keyword

I want to get all my keywords embedded. I think a workaround is to make a smart list that has all my photos which contain any key word. Export all these photos. Then import them back in using auto arrange by event.
How do I make a smart list that contains all photos with any keyword (I dont see that as a choice) and will this workaround work?

In the Photos window turn off the Event Titles so all you see are the photos. Then sort by keyword, ascending or desending. The photos without a keyword will be at one end of the display of photos. Find all of the photo without a keyword and batch add a new, unique keyword. Then make a smart album with the criteria Keyword is not "XXXX".

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I have a form to update the existing values in a table. Primary column is based on a Select List.
So when user goto update screen they SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE the primary filed(means the value display in the Select List).
SO to make this one I have make that select list read only. But not like other items even when we make select list read only it still allow user to change the value. So basically read only property not working for select text.
There are many post in this regading same issue. Some of them recomended to make it disabled. But when we make a item disabled then when user POST that form, Apex not POST any disabled item values. Basically disabled items values not passing next form. So making item dissable also not a solution.
I have read almost 20 post in here regarrding this and didnt get any solution for this. So please let me know if anyone knows how to make a select list read only (which is working same as read only text boxes, means that value pass when user POST the form).

Do you have Pages? It's an excellent app to make collages. You can create a canvas with Pages, drag the photos you want from iPhoto into the open Pages window, resize and position the photos as needed.
I belive the demo version of OmniGraffle - The Omni Group will let you arrange up to 10 objects on a page. I use it to create this 96 photo collage poster:
But Pages would be easier to use if you have it.

I would like to make a smart album that contains photos taken in a particular time zone. But I could not find out the way to add a rule to read time zone information. Could anyone tell me how to retrieve the time zone information from the filter panel of Aperture 3?

I could not find any metadata tag in aperture, that contains the Time Zone and is readable in the smart settings HUD.
Yu could try it indirectly - since the Time Zone is widely determined by the longitudes of the eastern and western boundaries of the zone, you could check for these longitude values, if your photos are geotagged or have Places assigned.
For example, to find the timezone of UTC+1 use these settings:
EXIF > Longitude is in the Range of: 7.7 to 22.5.
Depending on the countries, you may need to combine this rule with latitude rules as well or make a rule that simply uses the country names from the places tags.

How to make hidden Drop Lists functional in RBList Subforms?

I have created a form that contains 3 isolated Radio Button lists, each with hidden subforms that are unique per each button.
Two of my RBLists and subforms work perfectly, showing hidden Drop Down List options and other fields as they should when a button is selected.
However, RBList3 presents the Drop Down lists as user entry fields only. Each hidden subform in RBList3 contains one drop down menu and one text box for instructions.
I've used the same javascript to hide/show hidden fields when buttons are selected. All settings seem to match up. Here is a sample of my code:

How to make a hierarchical list of file/folders like in the Finder

I have a hard drive that I'm going to use as a safety backup. I've filled it with files and folders and am going to store it off site. I'd like to retain a list of what I've got on there, for reference.
I can make a complete list of what's on there, with UNIX 'ls -R', but it's huge and you can't encapsulate the folders, it just lists everything. I need a document that reproduces the list of files and folders in the same way that the finder does. Is there any program that does that?

I've seen third-party backup utilities that provide that sort of catalogue interface, but I can't name any off hand.
Yep, I even used to have one, way back in OS 7 thru 8.6 on my 8600. I think it was something from Iomega, they used to give you several free tools, and I believe a catalogue maker was one of them. I think it broke with some version of OS 9, and I got a shareware program called DiskTracker. Both did exactly what is wanted: they would catalog any sort of disk, be it drive, removable media (I had a bunch of Syquest EZDrive cartrides), even CDs. You would open the file in the program, and navigate just like in the Finder. Don't remember just how much information was preserved about files.
Try going to VersionTracker, and do a search on disk inventory or catalog software, I'm sure there are still such things around, though I doubt they would be free.

How to make a smart album of "Today's images?"

So despite my near-constant complaining, I am still using Aperture for one jpg-only project (I won't let it anywhere near my raw files.)
This project gets a few hundred frames daily, and will continue to accumulate indefinitely.
I want to organize it with smart albums by date shot. Mostly, I want to be able to see everything I shot today.
So far the closest I've come is to sort by "Within the last 1 days" - but that includes yesterday too. Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?

I've also thought about this, but more in terms of
the "Last Import" smart album as in iPhoto, to show
the images that were part of the last import. I know
I can create one to show images from specific
imports, but I don't want to keep modifying the smart
album every time I do an import.
Actually in iPhoto it is called "Last Roll". But anywayz...
I'm looking for exactly the same thing ... The one thing I miss from iPhoto is the "Last Roll" smart album. When I drag in a few dozen images with various file dates, various names, etc. it's real hard to find them again to further organize them, assign ratings, assign keywords, etc. The "Last Roll" feature was great and I could really use something like that again.
Anyone know how to make a "Last Roll" type smart album?

Double click the layer icon in the layers panel. Then hit the create mask button at the bottom of the panel (lower red circle). Then with the layer mask selected (upper red circle, notice the black outline shwoing you are working the mask, not the layer), use the gradient tool to make a gradient as shown in the icon preview. Then save for web as PNG24.
