How to make a suggestion to this list

I got a message to chose between helpful answer and correct. There needs to be other options too like I don't know or it was not helpful, off the mark.
I get answers that seem right but when I try them I still cannot get it working. Don't want to mislead anyone.
The answer on the Mavericks Mail signatures was right out of the hooklike but it would not work for me.
There is something missing in the way signature works, or it is too complicated as a piece of code or too tricky for novices to grasp. Much of this computer world works fine for folks who have lot of experience at troubleshooting but for others of us without experience we miss steps that you all know by trial and error that worked for you in the past.
For example even this support communities thing is not easy to figure out. It took me a long time to get to this place to make a post and give a suggestion. The back and forth is easy to follow, imo. But thank for the help.

FYI, I doubt if "not helpful" will be implemented. One of the predecessors to ASC had a negative "box." The controversy created by that was not pretty. IMHO, only positive observations should be allowed.
I understand your comment that some of us "assume" things. Frankly, those of us that do have been around computing for a long time (and hopefully have learned things). In my own case, if I "assume" something and then the poster indicates they do not understand, I always try to give more detailed steps.
You may or may not realize it, but virtually all of us that try to help people here are not Apple employees - just volunteers.

I thought you said you knew how to make animated gif. A frame is the composite of the layers that have their visibility on for the frame a frame may be made using many layers. You use tools and filters on layers.You make frame using layers.

The last frame had it low and off canvas to the right. I then had Photoshop generate 138 frames between the two frames I created. So Photoshop moved the top layer position across the canvas left to right and high to low direction and the stationary layer mask masked it as if it were going through the background layers clouds. The two layers are visible in all frames.

I don't know how to describe it (sorry, english is not my first language), but I like the way the color on the skin affects only certain tones. I hope you understand what I'm talking about :) I tried to play with layer blending (BW + color balance of shadows)... but I never manage to do something like this. I suppose it has to be a common technique, sice I see it on so may posters and photos. Does anybody have some advice? Thanks!

The links you posted seem to suggest the effect you are after may be the result of luminance masking, perhaps coupled with a knockout layer to protect the eyes. Try this procedure:
(a) Duplicate the background layer CTRL + J (and perhaps rename it Blur as that helps to emphasise the purpose of the new layer).
(b) With the new Blur layer active, from the Menu bar choose Filter/Blur/Gaussian blur about 20% for starters each image may require slight variations to this amount.
(c) Turn off the visibility of the new Blur layer and select/make active the Background layer.
(d) Go to Channels Palette and CTRL click on the Red channel. Return to the Layers Palette. Turn visibility of new Blur layer back on and select it.
(e) With the new Blur layer active, click the Add layer mask button at the bottom of the Layers Palette this adds the Luminosity Mask to this layer and results in seeing the Gaussian blur now only inside the lightest (50%) details of the image. Now change the Blend Mode of this layer from Normal to Overlay. If the effect seems too strong, try the Soft Light blend mode which is less severe. If you want a greater effect than Overlay delivers, try Linear Light. You can back off the effect of any of these blend modes with the Opacity slider but that would, I think, also back off the amount of Blur, which may or may not (depending upon the image) lessen the overall effect you are aiming for.
(f) Next comes the Knockout Layer (KL) to remove the effect of these Blur and Blend Mode edits from the eyes. The KL must be on top of the Blur layer, so make the Blur layer active and then add a new transparent layer above it - CTRL + Shift + N and name it Knockout.
(g) On the new KL, select the eyes with the Elliptical Marquee Tool (select too much rather than too little reason follows later) and fill the selection with Black ALT + Backspace (provided Foreground Colour in Tools Palette is Black). Then deselect the eyes CTRL + D.
(h) Bring up the Layer Style dialog box (LSDB) by double clicking on the icon for the KL. In the LSDB change Knockout from None to Shallow and reduce Fill Opacity from 100 to zero % and click OK which dismisses the LSDB. That is it you have now eliminated the effects of the Blur layer on the eyes using the Black holes on the KL.
(i) To remove any excess eye selection, you use the Eraser tool (set to about 50% hardness) and paint around the edges of the eyes with the Eraser tool what this is doing is reducing the size of the holes in the KL and bringing back the effects of the edits from the Blur layer.

How to make icon_checkbox enable in ALV list

Hi,
I am using the checkbox icon (icon_checkbox) to write into my ALV by using this FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY.
The output of the ALV will be like this:-

The first coloumn (Col A) is the checkbox.
I am facing problem when using icon_checkbox to display it at the ALV. Currently my checkbox is showing all check in all item and I can't check and uncheck it.
My question is:
1. Is it possible to make the checkbox enable/editable by writing the icon_checkbox?
2. How to make the checkbox enable/editable?

This can be done one of two ways:
1. Customize the form in Infopath, right click your field and disable the control.
2. Use JavaScript/jQuery on the page to disable the element.

What you'll want to do is pick a photo with something like a person or an animal in the foreground. Then, use the Lasso tool to trace around the outside. Separate the person and the background into two or more layers, depending on how much you want to change. Up the saturation on the background, and apply a blur under the filter menu. It might just be the angle the photo was taken from, but they could have possibly added a light effect behind him as well. As for the guy, it looks like they upped the contrast and lowered brightness. Since i don't know from what angle the photo was taken, those are the only effects I can say were most likely used.

I've tried every online tutorial for timer.delay + experimented... how to make it work in this sitch

I've read literally every single timer.delay tutorial I could find online, on youtube, the official documentation, tons of posts on this forum, etc. What I am trying to say is I looked everywhere before posting for help.
I have a timer running. It runs throughout the game. I need to modify the speed of that timer when a player either hits a certain second(won't work, because the timer is already running) or when someone gets a certain score(can't get it to work, because timer is running).... so my question is how do I get timer.delay to work when the timer is running throughout the entire game. I tried to control the delay by when someone gets a point, but that didn't work either. I am using a trace statement so I see the seconds and the timer speed. the code looks something like

timer.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, loop);

What I posted is psuedo code.
Any ideas on how to make the timer go faster without delay, since I can't get delay to work under the circumstances I explained? Or is there a work around that I don't know about? I will try to give back to the forums by answering other questions. Oh, I am running this on the timeline, not in a .as file. Thanks so much for your help!

That's what I thought. I thought if I set a delay inside the function or in an if statement for the var that prints out the timer decrease that it would work. It doesn't. I'm using Adobe AIR for IOS, but I doubt that makes a difference in this case. I write timer.delay=500; that should make the timer go at 500 milliseconds. My trace shows the amount of milliseconds didn't change throughout the application. It is quite bothersome, since everything else works and every guide and the docs say what I am doing should work. Any ideas?

might like to get a book on ActionScript 3.0 to learn faster.
You can and will learn faster and better if you take the time
to do 2. and 3.
There is a ton of Flash Tutorials at Adobe and other
websites, do a search and you'll get so many sites it could take
years to visit them all.

I need for my daily work to make once or twice a day an upload of an mailing PNG picture. Bevor the upgrade to Maverick Safari 7 I used the safari version 5.1.10 which works great to make "Mail contents of this page" (File Menu > Mail Contents of this file). Now in the Safari 7 version this option is not anymore available and it is change to SHARE "Email this page". This is not the some and it does not match the legal proposing.
I appreciate as answer for a good solution or which steps shoud I do to get this option again.

I tried to use now another Mac which I have here, with Mac system 10.6.8, where I use the safari version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) and it works perfect.
Here are the screenShots:

Using that older Mac we have the perfect result, where you see the legal text + images, which i sent to me in bcc.
The result from my Mac with Maverick and after following the instruction:
You see the full legal text but no the image!
Maybe this is just a minor bug in Safari, to exploring yet and to improve. For the meantime I have to use the older Mac only for this part of the job. Not A PERFECT DAY (lou reed, RIP) but not the end of the world!
