How to make a text item appear in columns

I have a form which is split into two blocks. The Block on the left hand side is a tree which causes data to appear in a block on the right when nodes of a certain type are selected.
The data block on the right is a Tlist which comprises a number of data values that I am trying to concatenate to look as if it's one record (a bit like NT Explorer to look at).
The problem is that as I am using a proportional font I cannot line up the various data into neat columns. I have tried using chr(9) between the data items but this wont work (because its a list item I think). It's not good enough to use (eg) courier new as our standard is MS Sans Serif.
Any bright ideas on how to get round these problems?

Hai,
If you want to hide the text box immediately when form is loaded, then write in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE Trigger.
And no Need to set the ENABLED property to PROPERTY_FALSE, because, when u are hiding an item, its ENABLED, UPDATE_ALLOWED properties will be set to FALSE automatically.

Has the wizard created a not null validation for the column that was originally not null. Check validations and remove the entry.

How to make sales order items appear on the billing due list?

Dear All,
We are using SAP CRM 5.0 standalone and we want to use CRM Billing.
All necessary configuration has been done to enable CRM Billing on sales orders.
Here is the list of what have been done:
1. Defined Billing unit and assigned to my sales organization.
2. Created billing document type for sales order (F2 as standard).
3. Defined billing item category (TAN as transaction-based billing after complete)
4. Defined billing item category determination (for trans. type TA, item category TAN, billing item category will be TAN)
With all the above configuration, when I created a sales order (TA), set the order status to 'completed' and save it, I checked the item status, it is 'completed for billing'. However, when I ran 'Process Billing Due List', nothing has been picked up.
I checked the order line item, and found that the 'Delivered Qty' field is 0. Could this be the reason? I set the item category TAN billing relevancy to be 'Transaction-based after completion', then it should not care about delivery, right?

How can I make a text box with 2 columns?

I can't figure out how to make a text box with two columns. I made one in pages and pasted it into iWeb but it seems to have turned it into an image when I published to a folder. I want to keep it text so the search engines will index it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to create two text boxes, configure them as columns and then paste into the first and cut where you want the columns to end and paste the remainder into the second column as on this page . I've tried saving a two column Word document as a web page and it just converts it to one column.

I just thought that the example you pointed the OP to, is far more complex than what I understood he needs. The OP was talking about using a button, which I thought was a very basic and simple case. Your example is much more complicated. If memory serves, the radio group item, at the time (prior to 3.1 fieldset) behaved differently, so you needed to create a new value retrieving function, and then was the need to preserve the items show/hide status upon reloading the page. In short, I thought maybe I didn’t see the complexity in the OP post, but it seems that his requirement was indeed a simple one.

Does anyone know how to make a text "drawer" in iWeb? What I mean is when you click on a hyperlink to read more text, but instead of opening up a new page, it makes the text appear below the link on the same page.

Anything fancy with iWeb has to be done in the HTML Snippet or after publishing the page.
Find the code for the drawer, apply it and show us the result.

Trying to make new text item in Pages 5.2 using Applescript

I am trying to upgrade(?) from Pages 3 to Pages 5 and have a script that used to make a new document with text boxes. Previous line was:
make text box with properties {object text:receiptDD, vertical position:6.9, horizontal position:2.7, height:0.5, width:1, extra space:0}
Have the line changed to:
make new text item with properties {object text:receiptDD, position:{6.9, 2.7}, height:0.5, width:1}
but fails with error "Pages got an error: Don't know how to create TMAScriptInfoProxy" number -2763
Not sure where to go from here, searched various forums but cannot find a solution, any guidance gratefully received.

I understood what the code will do. But it did not work.

By default, P5_TASK_NAME displays Task Name which is passed from Page 3.
So I changed your code as follows so that P5_TASK_NAME value may be displayed with a link.
...a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION.">:P5_TASK_NAME</a...
But P5_TASK_NAME value appears without any link and does not open page 3.
Then I created a new text item (display only) in the same HTML region in page 5 and entered the following code in the default box:
...a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:3:&SESSION.">LINK</a...
When I ran the application, it displayed the whole code as text.
How can I display P5_TASK_NAME value with a link to open page 3?
Would appreciate your help.

Could anyone please tell me how i create a text item with code.The scenario is like this....
Suppose there is a text item corresponding to department_id=10 and i dont know how many employees r there in this department.Now if the query returns 10 employee then how do i display these 10 employees name.....it may be 20 employees also...i dont know the actual number before executing the query..

Hi,
You can create two blocks for this. One is an unbound block which consist of a text box with a command button. Other block is a bound block from your table(multiple rows block). In hierarchical, unbound block should above above bound block, which makes the focus control goes first to the text box. When the user type the dept code and click on the button it goes to bound block and execute the query.
you can write code in the command block as below
set_block_property('<boundblockname>',default_where,'deptno = '||:ti_DEPTNO);
go_block('<boundblockname>');

I have a column with DATE data type. Using forms 6i I want to generate a poplist list item field with this column while the value of the elements in the list to will be day names like SATURDAY,SUNDAY,MONDAY. if we change the data type from date to char, it will work properly but now with DATE data type behind it, it gives the following error message

How to make the text in sub-division

Hi,
I am usign text module in my adobe forms.
Text in text module contains sub-divisions as a), b) and c). Each sub-division are in a separate line.
While in pdf, all the sub-division combines and comes a single paragraph.
What would be the problem for this issue? Any Idea?
May I know how to make the text in sub-division as in text module?

Hello, experiment with Object - Field tab. Do you have your text field with "allow multiple lines" checked? I guess so. And what about the field format? Plain text or Rich text? Please try:)) Regards, Otto
