How to make a webshop in Muse?

Hi all,
A possible new client wants a website with a shop. As I don't have any experience with shopping carts I'm orientating. I wonder for example what's better: integrate an existing html shop in the site or buy a Muse template and stitch them together in the site map. Any advise on this is welcome!
Thnx in advance, Karin

  • How to make indented text in Muse

How to: make indented text in Muse, like a list with bullits

I read on another post that you can do ALT 0149 (WIN) and it will create a bullet in Muse.  I tried ALT+0149 and then ALT then 0149 and neither one created a bullet so I must not be understanding the key shortcuts to create the bullet.
The above video is not captioned (I'm deaf) so I don't understand how he's creating the bullets.  Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?
PS - when videos are made, it would be nice if you brought some kind of graphic on saying (for example) "Press the [whatever] key" so deaf people can see what's happening.

  • How to make a Website in Muse with a Login Forum

I need to build a website for a client in Muse which has access to a Login Forum, so that users can login to a secure site and upload messages and images/video. I have never done this before, but I'm quite experienced in other aspects of Web Design and in Adobe Muse. I'm guessing I will have to use Business Catalyst to do this and intend to host the site on BC. I need to know if this can be done using just Web Basics, or if I have to upgrade to Web Basics+, or higher? Does anyone know of any tutorials, or other help on this subject?
This is not going to be an eCommerce site, I just really need to have the function of a secure web forum with a few other standard pages, HOME, ABOUT etc
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Shaun,
Yes, you are right. You can achieve this if you host your site on Business Catalyst. This feature is not included in webBasics+ plan. You need at least webmarketing plan to use the Forums feature. Please refer to this link for info on how to add forums in BC : http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/add-forum.html
    Hope this answers your question.
    Cheers!

  • How to make smooth scroll in muse

I want the smooth scroll effect in my site just like this http://nexgeninnovators.com

You can try to use anchors on page and link them to fixed positions on page, that would create similar effect.
But if you are looking for setting up jump scrolling on page then at current stage we cannot setup this with scroll effects.
    Thanks,

  • How to make downloadable links in Adobe Muse

I am new to website design and am trying to figure out how to make downloadable links for some PDF flyers, PSD templates I am creating.   Not sure if "downloadable links" is the correct term for what I'm trying to say but in a nutshell I am creating Business Flyer's in PDF form and Photoshop PSD template files that I would like to be able to have my users click a link that allows them to download them right to their desktop.  Any help would really be appreciated!

    Hi caybar10gaming,
I had the same question as you and was searching online for how to add "downloadable links" as well so your not alone in that lol. Anyways, I found this video that explains how to do this. I hope this helps you, as it did me. Good Luck

  • How to make text columns with adobe muse

Hi,How to make text columns with adobe muse (like InDesign)?

Multiple columns can be acheived with CSS - http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_multiple_columns.asp
    div
    -moz-column-count:3; /* Firefox */
    -webkit-column-count:3; /* Safari and Chrome */
    column-count:3;
I'm surprised that Muse does not support text columns yet, but perhaps the custom CSS can be added in style tags on page properties. Haven't tried it, but don't see why it wouldn't work.

  • How to make an Image in Adobe Muse  100% height ?

100% width, it's ok; but I don't find how to make a 100% height image (wich follows my browser height)?
I work with adobe Muse CC 2014
    thanks !

You can use the image as browser fill and then set the position of image such that it remains to its position. This can be used as a workaround for using image as browser height.
    Thanks,

I was wondering if there is a tutorial on how to make a blog page in muse? Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi
You can integrate third party blog in your site or if you are using Business Catalyst , then you can go with BC blog modules on page.

  • I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

I'm afraid not.    It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder.  Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.
         <form action="path/form-to-email-script.php" >
The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm  assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code.  Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names.  It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

  • How to include animation files into muse test site on business catalyst?

    Hi there
I am trying to publish a site created in muse to the business catalyst test website service for a client to review
in the website i created an animation that i have inserted as an HTML snippet (ie copied relevant code into "INSERT HTML"
The question is how do include the folder with all the files required to run the animation when i click "PUBLISH" to business catalyst?
    thanks

    Hello,
You can make the changes in .muse file and then publish it to the existing site.
It will automatically detect your old site when you click on File>Publish ONLY if you are using the same Adobe Id to upload the site which you used earlier to upload.
You can check which Adobe Id you are using by going into Edit>Preferences option and under Publish with Account youwill find the Adobe Id which is being used to upload the site.
you can change the Id (if required) by clicking on the dropdown and click on Switch accounts.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sachin

  • How to make a combobox?

How to make a combobox (list of thingf of which to choose - drop down) in Muse? ...like a questionnaire with multible choise!

    Hello,
If you want to create a drop down, you can try using the <select> tag of HTML.
    For example:-
    <select>Choose answer
    <option>Ans1</option>
    <option>Ans2</option>
    <option>Ans3</option>
    </select>
You need to embed it by choosing Object-->Insert HTML

  • How to Make Parallax Scrolling Linger Longer in Position?

    Hi,
I have downloaded the sample paralax file from this tutorial (http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/adobe-muse-parallax-scrolling-may-2013/), and I'd like to ask how to make the formed words, once in position, to linger for a certain time of scroll in their position, and only then move away.
Thanks for your help, and please ask if further clerification is needed.

Currently Muse doesn't support what you are requesting.
At the moment Muse allows you to set one key position and define actions before that key position and after that key position.
    What you're requesting is :
    01. before key position - do action (move)
    02. for duration of scroll - do action (don't move)
    03. after key position - do action (move)
If you would like to see this enhancement. Please request it in the Ideas section.

    Hi Tom,
There is no native feature in Muse to achieve this.
