Every time I sync my MacBook with my IMac through Mobile Me, the rule sync OK but it deactivate my rules. I have to click on every single one again to make them active. Is there a faster way to make all the rules active at once. TIA.

Make them active then re-sync. You are obviously updating from the old saved information not the new. If that doesn't work, then remove your computer from the authorized sync list and start fresh. You can then copy all your information FROM the computer to MobileMe.

I am working on a friend of mine's 15g ipod(W/dock connector)and I am having the same trouble except it does it to all the songs. I have tried reseting it multiple times, but to no avail.
I am not sure that this runs on windows XP, it is absolutly archaic (compared to my 5th gen. 30g video).

If you are on iOS 5+ and it's an IMAP type account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of folders that you currently have on your email account. If it's a POP type account then you won't get the Edit button, and you are limited to the folders that you currently have.

Not surprising...it does not work even if you follow the exact way...
Role ->
         Workset 1
                      -> Page 1
                      -> Workset 2
                                       -> Page 2
                      -> Workset 3
                                       -> Page 3
When the user clicks on Role which is the Entry Point, I want the user to see Page1 (works alright) and want the tree node Workset 2 open (doesn't work)...I want tree node Workset 3 closed (which is what happens...)
The thing is Workset 2 has to be open...
This is what I've done...I've made the Initial State of Navigation Panel set to "Open"...
What else is to be done????

How to get better rules (filters) in Mail.app

I love Mail.app, but it's rules criteria implementation doesn't quite do what I want.
I want to be able to match emails on a more complex basis than just "Any" or "All".
For example, I wish to capture all emails that match "X-Mailer: Trac" AND whose body matches EITHER "Changes (by chris):" OR "Comments (by chris):" OR "Changes (by cburgess)" OR "Changes (by cburgess)".
This combines an AND and ANY rule, and I can't see how to do it using Mail's Rule GUI. I also had a look at ~/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist but it's not obvious whether I'm permitted to add nested Criteria dicts.
Anyone know of a mail rules plugin which offers this? I'm using Leopard.
Anyone have pointers to an example AppleScript or external script (Bash, PHP, Python, Perl, ...) which does something like this for IMAP mailboxes?

There is an article on Mac OS X Hints on how to make complex booleans for Smart mailboxes - you might be able to apply it to ~/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.
Edit: usual caveats apply - I haven't tried it so have no idea if it will work; back up the plist before starting; quit Mail before starting.

How to make the search box in 'mail' bigger

HI all
I use the mail programme in Lion and use a Mcabook pro, There is a search box in the upper right hand corner so you can search through your mails, I have accidently made it smaller and am looking to make the box bigger so I can see the full names of the results.
I have looked in toolbars and in 'view' and cant fin anything, I have tried to clip and drag, but that does not work either, anyone have any ideas how to make it bigger again,

How to make Settl. rule mandatory before release ?

I have project with settlement to AUC and to the superior wbs elements. I want to have the settlement rule to be made mandatory (before Release) for all those WBS elements, where it will be settled to superior WBS elements. How to make this mandatory ? Is it possible through validations or is there any BAdI available for this ? I had checked for user exits, i could not find any suitable one.

1.For making settlement rule manditory, check with function module "CJPN_SETTLEMENT_RULES" and put into validation in OPSI t.code..
2. when settlement rule is created system status will be set to SETC. So while saving the project , you can check if the status is SETC or not and the throw the required error.
You can use BAdi = Workorder_update interface AT_SAVE.
For staus check you can use BAPI_STATUS_CHECK and pass Objnr of the WBS and check for SETC ( Sys Status = I0028).

How to use customized rule in step mail workflow

I have created a customized rule,which is working fine when I simulate it, it is fetching SAP user from a ztable which I created.
My requirement is how to use the rule in my workflow which have one "send mail" step. As in "send mail" under Receipt Type I cant find rule option.
Kindly help me.

1.Create a method GET_ACTORS using RH_GET_ACTORS,
2.Create a container element 'Actors' type string with multiline.
3.Create Task, where you can call the Method GET_ACTORS and pass the Container values of 'Actors' from Method->Task->Workflow
4.Create a Step type before creating the Step mail and include the previous Task.
5.Now you can create the step Mail. Give the Recipient Type as 'Expression'-> Select the Container Element 'Actors' from WF container
But remember the values should be Passed from the task to Workflow in Binding correctly.

How to make all Button component instances trigger rollOver sound?

Hello all--
I am using the Button component (the one shipped with CS3) in
many places in my AS3 project. I am coding in .as files, not on the
timeline.
I have skinned the Button to use the colors I like. Now I
wish to "skin" it so that all instances generate a rollOver sound,
and I'll be darned if I can figure out how.
I know I can listen for ROLL_OVER events in each Button
instance. But I have many many Buttons and it seems kludgy to add
that same code to every class I have which tracks a Button. I am
hoping there is some way I can make *all* instances of Button
respond to rollOver the same way. I am hoping it is like
setComponentStyle or changing the skin for the Button; I can do it
in one place and it works everywhere.
I guess I can listen on the Stage level for bubble-ups of
ROLL_OVER, trap those that come from Button instances, and handle
it from there, but stagewide listeners also seem a tad kludgy.
Is there some elegant way to make all my Buttons
automagically generate the same rollOver sound?

It's regrettable there is no reply. But in case someone comes
across this topic, FYI I put on my main View class (to which all
other views and GUI are childed) an
addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER...). The MOUSE_OVER events
bubble up to that.
Then in the listener function I see if the event.target is
Button. If it is, I trigger the sound.
Curiously, the supposedly better ROLL_OVER event did not
bubble up predictably. Sometimes it did and sometimes it did not.
But the docs say that event is not supposed to bubble for some
reason.
I still think there is a better way and I'd like to hear it.
Maybe I just need to make my own clone and adaptation of the
Button, but I am not experienced yet with creating components
(SWCs) and it appears that simply overriding the Button class with
my own .as file does not work-- the rollOver functions report
errors that they cannot be overridden.

How to delete all of the e-mails I have opened and that appear to the right of the INBOX at the top of Firfox without having to delete each one individually by clicking one at the time? thanks

When I open Firefox and then hit INBOX to see all e-mails in my inbox and then when I have read those I open the subject matter of each e-mail appears opposite the INBOX and in order to delete all of these e-mails I have to click on every one individually to delete them. Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.
