How to make all text in a pdf accessible

I want to copy text from a scanned in .pdf to a Word document. Some is able to be copied but other text isn't. How do I make it all able to be copied?

Until the scanned image of text that is in a PDF has OCR applied there is only a picture / an image - there is no text.
Post OCR there are characters available for those images of characters that are recognized.
Not all characters are always recognized.
What is recognized / captured can be copied and pasted, can be exported / saved as to TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX.
Sometimes a scanned image with OCR results in pretty darn good content from OCR that results in pretty good export.
BUT - anything scanned is a "sow's ear" & a silk purse (export to Word needing little to no remediation) cannot be made from a sow's ear.

Hi, I am about to create many PDFs that show the bookmark pane and the document pane, with the document pane at 75%.
If I create these PDFs to open as "single page continuous" and set the view at 75%, all scrolling is beautiful!
But, if someone goes to a page by clicking a bookmark, the page views jump to a much larger size.
How can I constrain the page view size to what I want?

You might also change the PDF to be full width or full page instead of a percent. If you set this in the document properties, then it should held as you move around. It may be that you are changing a particular page and then move around, meaning the new page goes back to the default set.

How to make the text in sub-division

Hi,
I am usign text module in my adobe forms.
Text in text module contains sub-divisions as a), b) and c). Each sub-division are in a separate line.
While in pdf, all the sub-division combines and comes a single paragraph.
What would be the problem for this issue? Any Idea?
May I know how to make the text in sub-division as in text module?

Hello, experiment with Object - Field tab. Do you have your text field with "allow multiple lines" checked? I guess so. And what about the field format? Plain text or Rich text? Please try:)) Regards, Otto

If at all possible, you don't. You get the original (pre-PDF file), you edit that.
Adobe Acrobat has some very limited facilities which sometimes allow very simple text edits to PDF (e.g. change a phone number).

Download a piece of software called TinkerTool - that might just solve your problem. I have used it myself to change the system fonts on my iMac. It is software and not an app.

Does anyone know how to make a text "drawer" in iWeb? What I mean is when you click on a hyperlink to read more text, but instead of opening up a new page, it makes the text appear below the link on the same page.

Anything fancy with iWeb has to be done in the HTML Snippet or after publishing the page.
Find the code for the drawer, apply it and show us the result.

I am working on a friend of mine's 15g ipod(W/dock connector)and I am having the same trouble except it does it to all the songs. I have tried reseting it multiple times, but to no avail.
I am not sure that this runs on windows XP, it is absolutly archaic (compared to my 5th gen. 30g video).

I read on another post that you can do ALT 0149 (WIN) and it will create a bullet in Muse. I tried ALT+0149 and then ALT then 0149 and neither one created a bullet so I must not be understanding the key shortcuts to create the bullet.
The above video is not captioned (I'm deaf) so I don't understand how he's creating the bullets. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?
PS - when videos are made, it would be nice if you brought some kind of graphic on saying (for example) "Press the [whatever] key" so deaf people can see what's happening.

You can't. The commandline parameters for Acrobat and Adobe Reader do not allow any type of commands to be run.

How to make all nodes expanded automatically when this workset is clicked in EP??

Not surprising...it does not work even if you follow the exact way...
Role ->
         Workset 1
                      -> Page 1
                      -> Workset 2
                                       -> Page 2
                      -> Workset 3
                                       -> Page 3
When the user clicks on Role which is the Entry Point, I want the user to see Page1 (works alright) and want the tree node Workset 2 open (doesn't work)...I want tree node Workset 3 closed (which is what happens...)
The thing is Workset 2 has to be open...
This is what I've done...I've made the Initial State of Navigation Panel set to "Open"...
What else is to be done????

Just to add a bit more about this question. I have seen in other related questions that this feature (vertical text) is not available in (apparently) the whole iWork09. someone even said that it should be asked to the developers, so they include this feature in iWork10. I find this issue a bit sad. This feature has been present in msOffice since a while, and at least for me, this is quite important for my work. It is also apparently not possible to have different page orientation in the same document, meaning portrait and landscape, so one can have wide tables in a whole page, for example. If this is true, it is again sad, and I just cannot understand why such a basic feature is not available in an already 09 version. I am using only the trial version of iWork, but already in the first day I have discovered that I actually cannot do what I was used to. Again sadly I (and many others I guess) will have to stick to Office until the mac software is fully developed.
