Hello Everyone !
I joined to your community short time ago and I have a question for you.I have created Technical Service Form for fault notification (only one page). This form is standing on the server. When people want to report any problem,they have to use this form.
I would like to have this form automatically generate a sequential number on every time it opens.
Example TS-15-001,TS-15-002 etc).Because I always want to follow these forms.How can i make this action.
I would be glad if you could help me.

You can't. When someone downloads and fills-in the form they are working on
their local copy, on on the file that's on the server. You have no way of
knowing how many copies of the file were already submitted and no way of
preventing duplicate codes.

When you place the insertion point where you want your footnote referenced (tap, hold, release) and select Insert > Footnote, it automatically places the superscript number for your footnote there and takes you to the bottom of the page in a Footnote field with the reference number already filled in.
If you add another, (tap, hold, release - which brings up the "Select | Select All | Paste | Insert" menu) it will become Footnote 2 and so on.

In step 2. Tap >, tap Insert, and then tap Footnote. The triangle is the "more button". Just ignore that and tap Insert and Footnote.

Form numbering can be done in a variety of ways. For high volume jobs (or small jobs, too if you happen to own a numbering machine) the numbers are often printed separately after the forms themselves are printed.
The next most efficient method is to use a printer with variable data capabilities that can pull the numbers from an external file and add them to the print job as it runs.
The only way to do it directly in InDesign is to make a multipage file -- one page for each number. To do that you will need a list of numbers as a text file, one number per line. You can use this file either for a Data Merge or you can place it like any other text file. Which method is best will depend on the job itself. In either case, I would recommend putting all of the repeating text on the master page. For data merge, leave a hole where the numbers belong and apply the master AFTER you do the merge. For placing, include a frame to hold the number on the master page, apply it to page one, and use autoflow.

How to stop automatic numbering of paragraphs?

I have an existing Pages document with numbered paragraphs. When I try to modify the document by adding or deleting numbered (or unnumbered) paragraphs, Pages automatically inserts new sequential paragraph numbers that I cannot undo, delete, or change. I have NOT selected "auto detect lists" under Preferences, and I can find no tool to disable this nasty feature. How can I simply make my own numbered or unnumbered paragraphs?

On my machine, pressing Return twice doesn't do the trick.

How to make Automatically Device driver installation in Win 7/WIn 8 when using RNDIS in Windows Compact

We are developing a precision instrument that measures Temperature, Pressure and humidity used in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Instrument is based on Windows Embedded Compact (7.0)
WE establish a TCP communication vi a USB connection. This is done by the RNDIS Driver.
When we connect the instrument to a PC we have to do the following in Windows:

The INF that is used is then C:\Windows\inf\rndiscmp.inf
We want this to be executed automatically
The way it is automated is by setting the correct entry’s in the registration database on the Instruments. In Windows CE registration database.
On
http://www.usb.org/developers/defined_class we think we must set Base Class = EFh, SubClass = 04h and Protocol = 01h.
But how is this done in the registry on the device?

changes in "rndisfn.h" in public folder have no influance on your project, because those files are not built at all. Visual Studio will use this one anyway (which is already built): C:\WINCE700\public\common\oak\target\armv7\retail\rndisfn.dll
To make use of Microsoft public code, you have to clone this code - that is copy selected source files to BSP folder and adjust DIRS files to include new data in the compilation process.
To clone RNDIS component, copy rndis folder from C:\WINCE700\public\common\oak\drivers\UsbFn\class
to C:\WINCE700\platform\YOUR_BSP\Src\COMMON\USBFN.

SLA 7.1 ZMIN - How to make automatic Product (Hotline Support) assignment

I have SLA configured, and now I'm wondering how I can make Product assignment automatic for ZMIN message?
Currently I have to assign the product (Hotline Support) manually for each of ZMIN messages.
Is there any way to do it automatically when ZMIN message created?

Help required how to make automatic switch over on RAC2

We have 11g R1 on windows 2003.
User complained if node 1 of OracleRAC1 gets down, automatic switch over to RAC2 is not occuring and connection error occured.
What steps to see, in order to make sure it should be performed automatically please?

TAF is a service ? Can it be connected on Apache Tomcat application server
Oracle version 11.1.0.6
Users are connect via Tomcat Application server with Oracle RAC having 2 nodes in it.
Users don't receive data if node 1 (RAC1) goes down. connection error message.
Where as if RAC2 is down user can still connect to RAC1 and can retrieve data.
Outside note- I want to understand the difference with Public and VIP of Oracle. My current understanding and correct me if I'm wrong, users are connected with RAC1 Public IP and in case of failure , VIP of RAC1 take over and eventually RAC2 and so on....

How to make automatic backups of NW Portal systems?

Hi All,
We have SAP CRM, ECC and NW Portal using MaxDB databases.
For DB Backups and monitoring, we are using Database Studio.
But in this DatabaseStudio, we have no calendar and no automatic backups is possible. In SAP ECC and CRM, we can access the tcode DB13 which give us acces to the DBA Planning Calendar.
Connecting on ECC or CRM backends, we can then plan automatic backups.
But for Portal I dont' find how to use a calendar for automatic backups.
I saw that in DB13, you can select the system you want to backup. Would it be possible to add the Portal and to manage all systems, including portal, in on single backend point? If yes, how can I add portal system / db to this DB13 menu?
If not, do you know if there is any other way to have automatic backups of NW Portal? Or any external tool we can use for doing this?

You can put any database in DBACOCKPIT and schedule centrally using DB13C.

For bigger production environments I'd suggest getting an external backup too and schedule everything centrally.
Be aware that especially in a Java environment (such as a portal) it's not enough to just backup the database, you have to backup the filesystem content at the same time to be able to restore your system in case of a failure. If you have just the database backup this won't help.

How to make list numbering restart

Hi everyone,
I'm sure this is a really simple on that i just don't know, but what i'm trying to do is restart the numbering after every H2 (in the red in the image) i've played around wtih all the settings and can't work it out.
So basically i just want the "3. Read text below......" to actually be #1. I have given them all the same style and this will be a big document so giving each set of numbers their own style isn't really realistic (i don't think)
Any help is appricaited or if you need more infomation just let me know, thanks in advance

EDIT: I've been playing around and managed to get the effect i wanted, but i don't know how i did it, and also then the next level down now runs it's own number system without restarts so i basically still have the same problem. Any help would be great, thanks

Willi's solution is ingenious.
I never thought of using "Next Style" to assign the style for number 1 and another style for the rest. But it is limited in that you can't swap number 1 with number 2 without having to reassign the styles.
I use a diffrent method which, if I remember correctly, was suggested by Bob Levine shortly after ID introduced numbered lists.
Here is an example of the text that I have numbered correctly
I have two styles. One for the text that interrupts the numbers called Body Text and another style for the Numbers.
I start by creating a numbered list for the Body Text.
I'm adding a numbered list "tag" to this, but the Format is None. I've taken out any symbols for the Number and the Mode Starts At 1. The Level is also 1.
Next I want to format the Numbers.
After I set the Format and the Number symbols, I set the Mode to Continue from Previous level.
After that, I set the Level to 2. At this point the numbers are continuing past the body text.
But by setting the Level, this opens up the option to Restart Numbers at This Level After Any Previous Level.
That is engineering-speak for start at 1 if there is another level of numbered list before this one.
The benefit of this is I can add an item before Number 1, or delete number 1, or swap 2 for 1 and the numbering stays the same.

How to create automatically numbered chapters?

If I write a number of chapters and then wish to delete or add some in the middle, the numbers above them will get out of order. It would be fantastic to be able to create a list style that numbers the chapters automatically like in a numbered list, but with a number being above and a block of text below. In Pages 5.5.3, How to stop automatic numbering of Lines & Paragraphs?

How can I stop the A. B. on the extreme left of the page?
Anything I try screws up the rest of the formatting.
I see nothing in Prefernces to stop this.

It doesn't change existing lists.
Are you saying it still forms a list from text marked as Bullets & List > None, as you type?
Click in the A./B. text.
What does it say in Bullets & Lists?

How to make automatic download for mp3 files [80 gb of mp3 files stored in GoDaddy]

I'm building this site --> Matthew
I want my visitors to download the mp3 simply by clicking the "down" blue icon. But here's the challenge, I can't do "Link to File" cause I have a lot mp3 files [80 gb total]. I believe Muse can't carry those in one file. I already stored those in my GoDaddy account.
Right click "Save Links as.." is not an option.
Hopefully there's another way to do it.

For example - agent is in the Outbound mode, customer not home, agent push "Customer not home" button, and after call must fill wrap up code "Customer not home". We want in this case to automatically filling wrap up code.
Is It possible?
May by - with creation custom button that will set outbound call result and fill wrap up at the same time..

Wrapu-up is a reporting method, not telephony or UCCE method , what you can do in the outbound case is to do the call back but i had never saw a wrap-up to be used as a filling .
i think your best option is (if you really need this) is to go to a third party CRM agent software that is capable of doing such thing.

How to make a numbered heading "link" to the next heading so it updates

Heading 1 is in the header. It is numbered A,B,C.
Heading 2 is in body It is numbered 1.
Heading 3 " 1.1. etc.
they are not linking so that Heading 3 turns into 1.1. it stays 1.

For a numbering scheme that goes

you have three levels. The first and second levels increment +1 each
time they occur. The third level is the number to the right of the
period, and it also increments +1 each time. The number that shows up to
the left of the period is a number placeholder for the second level (the
button to the right of the Number: field in Numbering Style). It will
not increment, but picks up the whatever number was last displayed at
the second level. So assuming you've got 3 levels in this list scheme,
your Number: for the 3rd level (the 1.1 level) would look something like
this:
^2.^#^t
The ^2 is the number placeholder, displaying whatever number showed up
in the last level 2 instance. The ^# is the current third level number.
And the ^t is a tab.

How can I create automatic numbering?

I'm using a document for reference, where a chapter (or paper) number is linked from the master page to an anchored text frame. Changing the paper number in the anchored frame automatically changes the number on the master page item in the top corner of the layout. The master page hasn't been overridded and isn't immediately selectable. There's also a running head on the master page and a small text frame in the layout that is similarly linked. I've explored 'Insert text variables' which appears to give a clue, but I can't replicate this in a new document. The master page item for the chapter/paper number appears as <00> and a new text variable has been created for this, with running head style. The running head appears on the master page as Level <level number> with the text variable 'level number', again set to running head style.
Does anyone please know the trick to make these numbers link or change the master page item, from the linked text frame on the pages throughout the document?

why the changes are replicating on the master page even when it is not overrided, and how jerryPF is making the changes when it is a master page item.
Bit confusing ?????
