  • How to make msn messenger with flash?

    http://www.123flashchat.com/lite-chat-login.html
    I use embed swf with htmlText in a textfield, but the swf
    still place in the wrong position. All in all, I can control the
    embeded swf position.

    Something which may help you which enabled us to get through flash was to run a VB script to maximise the window being tested. This way everytime you play back, buttons will be in the right place using the event recorder. Pretty sure your screen res needs to be the same from recording to playback, so if you share the script make sure to check that on the other boxes. Good luck.

  • How to make chat column text wider

    I'm using 7.2 on Mac OS X Yosemite. The chat window shows message text in a thin newspaper style column and I can't find away to resize it to a sensible width. I've disabled compact chat view in the preferences. Is there anything else I can do?

    Just had same problem. Thank you for your trick . Can't resize input box before enable compact view.

  • How to backup chat history in a messenger app

    I did buy a new iPhone 5. And when I went to Apple store to get my new order, I found all the chat history or document history in messenger or picture fixing apps were restored in my new iPhone 5.
    Please, anyone knows how to backup chat history in messenger app other than imessege, like whatsapp, skype, wechat?
    I want to make sure if iturns backup is backing up the apps or the apps+documents (chat history) in the apps.
    Thank you.

    It's unclear, based on the above rambling, what is actually desired.

  • Question: How to make typing area bigger in chat?

    My first post disappeared, so if this is a double, I'm sorry.
    I can't find how to make my typing area in the chat bigger - I only seem to be able to make it wider and I'm really, really annoying with the ridiculously tiny one-liner area I currently have. How do I make it bigger?
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    This is not possible with the latest Skype 7.0 version. The typing area will only expand vertically when entering a new line of text.
    If you prefer the old Skype style, then uninstall the 7.0 version and install the previous 6.21.0.104 version.

  • How to make previous chat history visible in new window

    Hi people,
    Recent Windows convert here. I am a loyal user of Trillian, and one of the things I love about Trillian is that when a new chat window comes up, the log from the previous conversation is visible within it.
    So, to illustrate, it's a bit frustrating to have a conversation like this:
    Me: Hey Mike, do you know how Sally is doing?
    Mike: I am away from my computer
    I log off or go away. Then a few hours later,
    Mike: She hurt her foot
    Me: Who hurt her foot?
    You get my drift - if new windows had a little history in them, that'd be great. Now, I know how to save chat history, and where it is saved. What I'm wishing for is that it were right there inside the new window with some kind of divider to set the time/context (even a button to view it would be a step in the right direction). I'm guessing there may be an add-on for this, but my Apple Discussion and Google searches have been fruitless.
    Any ideas? Thanks all.
    Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    HI ZigZagLens,
    Welcome To The Apple Discussion Pages.
    I only know of a partial solution to this.
    If I have a Chat open and the other end person goes offline when they come back my end uses the same window if I still have it open.
    There is no way to reopen a close chat window AND add fresh text chat to it.
    If you wanted this it would be a feature request.
    I could see that it could be done two ways.
    1) The Recents item in iChat itself could list the last few saved chats
    2) An iChat Recents item could be added to the Blue Apple Recents item.
    At present iChat open saved chats are added to the Documents list if they are reopened, so it will probably need both.
    It is around this area that you might find a utility.

  • How to make a chat room with sound and video with java!

    Please tell me how to make it!

    Please tell me how to make it!I suggest you to employ some experienced programmers. Doing it by yourself seems impossible (judging from how you asked).
    Another suggestion is, don't think to make an aeroplane if you don't have experience making a kite. Moral of the story: learn step by step, see java tutorial, explore its API especially the java.io and Threading.
    No offence, I hope my suggestion is encouraging.

  • How to make isight work with skype

    hi
    Does anyone Know how to set up the Camera with skype or msn messenger .
    I have a Macbook pro with the camera in the top of the Monitor but have no idea how to make it work on any other program except photobooth , it works on ichat but i don't use ichat only Skype or Msn messenger ..
    So if anyone can help me getting it to work on those would be great
    thanks

    Hello Globalmark
    For your problem dealing only with Skype, Skype supports their product with a comprehensive Help system for answers to your Skype-specific questions.
    If you cannot find the answer you need from their Knowledgebase, Troubleshooter, User Guides, or dedicated Skype-user forum, you can get technical support directly from Skype.
    MSN (now Microsoft) Messenger for Mac cannot use ANY camera unless you are using the "corporate" version. The personal version is a text only app.
    This post will give you the options available to you for using your MacBook Pro to contact those whose only chat client application is MSN (now Microsoft) Messenger.
    Your posted system info shows that you are still using Mac OS X (10.5.1). If that is correct, you may want to consider the advantages of updating to the latest version of Leopard.

  • How to Make Wirless Network SECURE

    I am running my desktop hard line to a comcast modem which runs XP Pro. My Laptop which is running Vista is set up wireless via the WRT54GS Linksys Router.
    The wireless network is running great but it is identified as UNSECURED!
    After three 30 minute waits last night, 2 disconnects when I was not understanding them ( not a computer whiz but I do ok) and 1 live chat tech that copy and pasted the directions on how to set it up but not how to make it secure and then a quick disconnect    .
    Can anyone tell me exactly HOW TO MAKE THIS NETWORK SECURED and WHAT computer shall I use to perform this?
    Thank you for any help you can give me,

    That method does not secure my laptop wireless settings?
    **No, that secures your router's wireless settings.
    or
    Is this the only method to secure the network?
    With some investigation I can find have found the following:
    If I right click on my Network Icon in my tool bar and then click Connect to Network and then right click on the Network and right click Properties I get a box with the following:
    Tab for connection and a tab for security with pull down bars which can be changed...
    1) Security Types -No Authentication (open), shared, wpa2 personal, wpa personal, wpa2 enterprise, wpa enterprise and 802.1x
    2) Encryption Types -WEP
    Current settings on my laptop Linksys wireless network security is
    Security Type- OPEN
    Encryption- NONE
    sBatch when I perform the WPA on my desktop my laptop must be off or not on the network correct?
    Doesn't matter, once you change the security settings onthe router, you will be prompted for the settings to reconnect to it.
    Has anyone found the LinkSys hyperlink for setting the WRT54GS router as SECURED?
    Define "secured".  Wired, only physical connection have access.
    Wireless, once you add WPA or WEP (WPA is better) it's secured.

    Does that help?

  • How to make the last line of the textarea visible all the time?

    Hello,
    I am making an online chat application in JSP and XHTML. The chat log and online users names textareas are refreshed every 5 seconds. When it comes to many messages in the chat log textarea, the scrollbar appears. Then, every time the chat log textarea is refreshed, I need to move the scrollbar down to see the last line of the textarea.
    Are there any ideas how to make the last line of the textarea visible all the time without moving the scrollbar?
    Thanks in advance.

    I put the below code on the page, but it didn't work.
    Are there any ideas? Thanks.

  • How to make a Simple NIO Scalable Server?

    I want to learn NIO for a project, but first want to start out simple. I want to figure out how to send a string across from clients to a server using NIO. I tried looking up stuff, but got caught in the terminology and such. How can I make a simple scalable server (agh tripple S) to send strings across? (like a chat server or something). All I know is I need to use a Selector and some Threaded loops to do stuff.
    I found http://gee.cs.oswego.edu/dl/cpjslides/nio.pdf and tweaked the code to make (what I thought was) a simple server, but I do not know how to make client code or even whether or not my Server code works.
    This is what I have so far:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.nio.*;
    import java.nio.channels.*;
    import java.nio.channels.spi.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import static java.lang.System.*;
    public class NIOTest {
    public static void main(String args[]) throws Throwable
    try {
    new Thread(new NIOTestServer()).start();
    } catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    class NIOTestServer implements Runnable
    final Selector selector;
    final ServerSocketChannel serverSocket;
    int chatPort=9990;
    public NIOTestServer() throws Exception
    selector=Selector.open();
    serverSocket = ServerSocketChannel.open();
    serverSocket.socket().bind(
    new InetSocketAddress(chatPort));
    serverSocket.configureBlocking(false);
    SelectionKey sk =
    serverSocket.register(selector,
    SelectionKey.OP_ACCEPT);
    sk.attach(new Acceptor());
    public void run()
    try
    while(!Thread.interrupted())
    selector.select(); //Blocks until atleast one I/O event has occured
    Iterator<SelectionKey> it=selector.selectedKeys().iterator();
    while(it.hasNext())
    dispatch(it.next());
    catch(Throwable lol)
    lol.printStackTrace();
    void dispatch(SelectionKey k)
    Runnable r = (Runnable)(k.attachment());
    if (r != null)
    r.run();
    class Acceptor implements Runnable
    { // inner class to accept the event
    public void run()
    try
    SocketChannel c = serverSocket.accept();
    if (c != null)
    new Handler(selector, c);
    catch(IOException ex) {ex.printStackTrace();}
    import java.io.*;
    import java.nio.*;
    import java.nio.channels.*;
    import java.nio.channels.spi.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import static java.lang.System.*;
    final class Handler implements Runnable {
    final SocketChannel socket;
    final SelectionKey sk;
    ByteBuffer input = ByteBuffer.allocate(1024);
    ByteBuffer output = ByteBuffer.allocate(1024);
    static final byte READING = 0, SENDING = 1;
    byte state = READING;
    Handler(Selector sel, SocketChannel c) throws IOException
    socket = c; c.configureBlocking(false); //makes it non blocking
    // Optionally try first read now
    sk = socket.register(sel, 0);
    sk.attach(this);
    sk.interestOps(SelectionKey.OP_READ);
    sel.wakeup();
    boolean inputIsComplete()
    return input.hasRemaining();
    boolean outputIsComplete()
    return output.hasRemaining();
    void process()
    CharBuffer buf=input.asCharBuffer();
    buf.flip();
    out.println(buf);
    public void run()
    try {
    if (state == READING) read();
    else if (state == SENDING) send();
    catch (IOException ex) { ex.printStackTrace(); }
    void read() throws IOException
    socket.read(input);
    if (inputIsComplete())
    process();
    state = SENDING;
    // Normally also do first write now
    sk.interestOps(SelectionKey.OP_WRITE);
    void send() throws IOException
    socket.write(output);
    if (outputIsComplete()) sk.cancel();
    }again this is a rough incomplete code test.

    See http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=536&threadID=5277053. You can use Telnet as a test client. When you come to write your own client, use java.net, not java.nio.

  • How to make it capture at 640x480

    Hi guys. I just got an external iSight and haven't figured out how to make it capture in QT pro 7 at 640x480. It's only doing it at 320x200. Any hints? Thanks!

     You are welcome. If you have all the info you need, please mark your question "Answered".
    ... choose 640x480 in iChat ...Are you SURE you want to pay for even more broadband speed and processor power in order to send larger video chat transmissions?
    Check your Broadband Speed. If you do not have adequate video quality now, you can increase your iChat video image quality if you and all your video chat buddies can buy more bandwidth from your ISP (or, if not, find a faster ISP.)
    I recently have upgraded to 9 Megs down and 1 Meg up, thus doubling my previous bandwidth. The increased speed significantly improves multi-party video quality, especially in videos with other users who have similarly speeds.

  • How to write a messenger with using java?

    May I know how to write a messenger with using java? The messenger need included two functions which are file transfer and add users to join the conversation.
    Thank you.

    Ok, so you need to start from the beginning, the requirements, is it a swing (i.e. GUI) app, web app, console, etc...?
    As stated by sprizor making an IM client is no easy task, you need to both implement the server side and the client side, which both communicate with each other, file transfers are also quite complex, and even maintaining a multi-user chat can be quite difficult.
    If you are after a Web Based app, then you will need to look into Push technologies, like Grizzly Comet which is a nice wrapper for the NIO java stuff:
    https://grizzly.dev.java.net/
    Good luck...
