How to make corestorage background encryption progress faster ...

Accoriding to manual page to corestorage makes encryption in the background, but the process is too slow. Is there a way to make it faster?
Rise priory? tell corestorage to go foreground? Any ideas besides formatting the volume as encrypted and copying data as this is not always an option?

i already restore to factory default my windows OS.. just like fresh installed

you will not have to do any importing in GarageBand. Intalling Mainstage will extent GarageBands Loop Library and Instruments Library.
After you installed MainStage the additional loops and Instruments will show in GarageBand just like all other Loops. you will simply see more loops.

How to make 2D background in 3D project?

Hello guys,
I have a 3D group which has one object in it. (text) I want this text spin in 3D therefore I have add a camera and applied a sweep behavior to it. It moves nicely in 3D space, exactly as I want.
Then I need some background, so I create a new group, make it 2D and place it as a bottom layer.
I choose a background image from my library and place in into this new group.
But ..... background now spins exactly the same way as my text. It does not stay as a background, but becomes just another object moving together with the text.
Since I did make this new group 2D, how could this happened?
Any advise how I can make the background stay still (or move it separately from the text?

Sound like you might have accidentally created your 2D group inside your 3D group - it has to be at the root level.

PSE3, how to make white background for silouette

I have taken a few pics of my grandkids in silouette form. That is, profile shots taken against window with snowy background. I've done a conversion to B/W, but need to darken it further. My main question is, how do I put a selection on a pure white background? Barbara, I have your book, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Do you have specific pages to look at? I know how to make a decent selection, but that's about it! Thanks.

3. Go to File>new>Blank file> Color Mode:RGB. Background contents:White. Size H&W for your paper stock.
4. Go to Edit>paste.
5. Position selection with move tool.

How to make a background image appear to grow slowly as text happens front

How do I make a background image which is simply a static image of Earth in space "seem to grow closer" by just slowly enlarging the image as text appears in front of it? Can't seem to find anything intuitive on how to accomplish this. I'm sure it's simple but I just can't seem to wrap my brain around it.

Double click your image to load it into the viewer. On the top of the viewer are 3 tabs, select the one that says "Motion." Inside of this tab you can animate any video or still image. For what you are wanting to do the Scale option will be the place to start. I think Scale is pretty self-explanatory, but just in case...click the keyframe button and type in a number for the scale (like 90). Scrub down a bit with the playhead and type in a new number next to scale (like 175). A new keyframe is created and you have yourself a zoom in.

Erased unwanted parts of photo now how to make a background

I am just getting started with PSE 8.0.1. I have a photo where I just want that part which is a given person. I cropped then erased unwanted parts. The erased areas are pure white. How would I create a background that looked like clouds or draped cloth or something that would appear only in the erased parts of the photo?

Sorry to say, but the work flow which you describe will not give you result which you desire.
Go to File>new>blank file. Enter height and width, and resolution. The resolution should be about the same as that of your picture
Set the foreground and background color chips (lower left) to diffent colors - for example shades of light blue
Go to Filter>render>clouds. You should have a background with a cloud pattern
Minimize this as you wil need it subsequently
Make a selection of the person which you wish to retain, using one of the selection tools - e.g. the Selection brush tool. After you make the selection, you will see "marching ants" around the selection.
Go to Select>inverse, then hit delete on the keyboard, go to select>inverse. The checkered pattern denotes transparency
Go to Edit>copy. This will place the selection on the clipboard.
Go back to cloud background, go to Edit>paste. This will put your selection on a new layer
Access the move tool to position and resize the selection over the background.

How to make a background image?

I wanted to try something special. For a few pages, and ideally the inside covers of the book, I would like to print a thumbnail of a logo on a white background as a backdrop for some of the pages. I see where to make a photo into the background for a page. But when I try to make the logo as the background, the logo FILLS the page.
Is there a way to make the logo smaller so it will be a just a small thumbnail on the page instead?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

ok so the idea here is to make a page with written content on it. the conent will not be able to be seen unless the user hits the arrow keys on there key board. So i need to make a group of objects i can make into a movie clip and than inside that movie clip make an animation that plays the squirrel running. i will pause here to ask two things i dont know how to do i want the squirrel to have an animation when standing still where it flicks its tail (like a real squirrel would). and also how would i flip the squirrel so when the left key is pressed it points left and when the right arrow is pressed it faces left? and my main question when it reaches the edge of the stage the extended background that runs off stage moves over to reavel more content. as well as not have the squirrel run off stage? in short i am using the squirrel to view the full pages content.

You're asking for quite a bit and aren't likely to get anyone to hand you a detailed solution. Here's some things to think about.
As far as flicking the tail goes, that's something you'll have to work out as an animation. You could do it as a timeline animation and/or as a coded animation where you adjust the rotation and other properties of the tail.
Getting the object to face left and right ican be a simple matter of changing its xscale property from 1 to -1 depending on which way it normally faces (1).
If you don't have a problem making the squirrel move to the edge, then you should have no problem making the background move either. You just need to continually check the squirrel x property to know when it hits the edge. Personally, I would only move the background and leave the squirrel in the center.

Actually you are close, it needs something like the light factory in photoshop to generate depth.
The easiest way is to go to your local office supply store, by a sample pack of paper then scan a sheet into your computer, instant texture. You can then overlay any color you choose, depending on the original color of the paper though.

How to make a background white in Aperture?

I take photos of shoes in a light box with a white background. I want the resulting photos to have a dead white background except for a bit of shadow. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I want to stay in Aperture and not have to move the images into Photoshop. How do I do this while still keeping the colours on the shoes true?

If the shoes are mainly mid-tone, you could just bump the contrast up a little.
You could also probably just adjust the tone curve a bit to force "almost white" to "white"

Currently I am using a NI 6602 board. And I am designing my project using VC++ in .NET framework(1.1) .
In my application, I have to wait a digital signal(triggering signal) to go high level to start my acquasition.
At first, I tried to check continuously that incoming digital signal in a seperate thread using ReadSingleSampleSingleLine() fxn (polling). In my application there aren't so much threads , just 3-4 threads, and this thread has the highest priority.
But I recognised that I am missing some acquasition data after I detect the trigger signal.
In more detail the case is: when the trigger signal arrives, I have to capture an incoming byte(which is available on another 8 digital input lines for just 5-6 microseconds).
And the problem is : I can detect the trigger signal by polling but I am missing the incoming byte. I am trying to detect the incoming byte using ReadSingleSamplePortByte() function again by polling. The incoming byte disappears before I manage to read it.
My fist question:
1. Is there anything that you can suggest to make my detection and acquasition process faster?
I tried to use digital edge triggering and change detection events hoping to faster my process. But I got an exception about my board does not support that kind of triggering.
My second question:
2. Is there any way to use digital edge triggering or change detection events in 6602 board?
This is the first time I am using an NI board.
I noticed that 6602 is specialized on timer counter concepts, not on digital I/O concepts. But I don't have a chance to use any other board right now and I have to manage my application using 6602.

How to make already written Encryption code in JDK 1.3 work in JDK 1.4

We are using JCE to encrypt a number.The following code was written in JDK 1.3 and is now on the Live site.

We are now migrating to JDK 1.4. When I tried to execute the above lines in JDK 1.4, it came back with the following error
"Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding"
Then I downloaded and copied over the iaik_jce_full.jar in \j2sdk1.4.1_05\jre\lib\ext\ folder
and added the following entry in \j2sdk1.4.1_05\jre\lib\security\java.policy
security.provider.1=iaik.security.provider.IAIK
Now, it has started giving me the following error:

Pull up the help file in Fireworks and type in Gradients.
