How to make crop box uniform size?

Hi everyone,
I set the crop height, width and resolution in the top bar. However, when I start to drag the crop boundiing box, it still let me do any size(although in proportion). I know it will crop the image to the size I specifed. But can I have an uniform size crop box every time, so I can cover same amount of area of similar photos. Thanks, I appreciate it~

Try using the Rectangular Marquee tool.
You can set the style to Fixed Size in the Options bar and then go to Image > Crop.

How to make multi-box fields for name or address in a PDF form to be filled in?

I would like to know how to make fields for name and address in a PDF form.
I am now using Acrobat 8 Pro on Windows Vista. I have downloaded a form in the format of a PDF file. Basically it is just a file holding images of pages of the document, and there are no fields for me to type something on it using computer. This form will be used frequently by me, but I don't want to print it out and fill it in every time by hand. I want to fill it in in the computer and print copies of it when needed. The output will then be much more neat and tidy.
I have seen PDF forms with blanks for typing name and address, which means the form can be filled in on the computer before printing. They are special, as these blanks allow users to type name and address with every character occupying a box in the field, which consists of ten boxes or so. These are not ordinary textfields. I want to make similar inputting field as well.
Does anyone knows something about making these input fields with each character using 1 little box in the multi-box field? Any ideas are appreciated.

This is a basic functionality.
You convert this item type into radio button.
It will satisfy your requirements.

The drop downs with price attributes would require custom coding on your end, but if you have a fixed price then you can use product information for sale purpose with price listed in the product itself.

Its not there, only "Initial Value" property available.

I don't think through personalization it is possible, may be try extending the controller and get the handle of the item, and set the value in the ProcessRequest.

Excel output file size is large - How to make it small in size?

An Excel file out put is too large when I get it from application. If I copy and paste the same content in an excel sheet , the size is too small.
How can I fix this?

BIP generates an XHTML output with mime-type xls and thus Excel is invoked when it is downloaded. XHTML is text and therefore it is lenghty. When you copy and paste it in Excel you save it in binary format and compress.
My suggestion is create an excel template instead of rtf. Not sure if this is possible for EBS (open a ticket with Oracle Support to confirm you can use excel templates in EBS the version you have).

How to make text box required field if checkbox is checked??

I have a web form that I need to look something like this:
(Checkbox) Check here if it is for an individual ID: (textbox) Required field if checkbox is checked and a numeric value
(Checkbox) Check here if it is for an organization ID: (textbox) Required field if checkbox is checked and a numeric value
(Checkbox) Check here if is neither (textbox is hidden and not required if "neither" is checked)
Currently the form looks like this: http://ncsu.edu/advancement-services/resources/researchrequest.html. The above information is going to go where it says prospect name and id number on the form. I would like to have the three checkboxes in a menu instead if that is possible.
How do I make the form do this? I created the form in the above link but I don't can't figure this one out.

How to make a huge file size fit

I have a project which is (sounds silly) about 7 hours. the file sizes arn't that big about 300 meg each but the 0verall project size is 20 gig can I possibly somehow encode this size of project to fit on a 4.7 dvd or should I make one long film in FCP and export that as a QT or something like that......

You have a couple of options.
First, consider creating a DVD9 and using AC3 audio - your bitrate would have to be about 2.3Mbps... which is very low, and the visual quality may not be too great.
Second, instead of using full D1 sizes, use Half D1, which reduces the horizontal resolution and therefore the file size. The visual quality is (IMO) better than VHS and you could encode at slightly over 4Mbps, which is getting acceptable.
Third, consider making a two disc set. This is not such a bad option as you get to use full D1 encodes at higher resolutions, but of course need to make two DVDSP projects for the content.
If you went for a double sided and dual layer disc you could achieve the same thing.
Finally, consider using MPEG1. This has a max data rate of about 1.5Mbps, and so you should easily fit 7 hours on a DVD9... and probably on a DVD5, too (at about 1.4Mbps).
In all cases, reduce the audio to AC3, no matter what.
A final option is to be more aggressive with the editing decisions! Cut back on the total amount of footage and get it all on a DVD9 at higher bitrates.
As a guide, four hours of D1 would need to be encoded at 4.5Mbps to fit on a DVD9, using AC3 audio at 192kbps (a stereo sound track).

Don't people ever search the forum and read older posts?
Both the question and the partly wrong answer have appeared many, many times before.
In pre-1.4 Java you simply cannot maximize a frame.
The 'solution' is probably the best you can do, but it does not really maximize the frame:
* The user can still move/resize it.
* It does not take into account the size/position of the windows task bar or any other window manager palette windows.
There also has been a solution that uses the Robot class to simulate a click on the maximize button, but that's a real dirty trick, that won't work in applets and strongly depends on the exact layout of the window's decorations.
In Merlin you can programatically maximize a frame as well as find out the screen's insets (resulting from the task bar...)

After adjusting options in Define Edge, don't forget to click "Decontaminate Colors" in the Output section of the Define Edge dialog.
I would also export to a New Document from the Output section.
Then you can open the file you want to drag your refined edge into.
With both docs open, go to: Image menu - Adjustments - Match Color.
You can select the image you want to match from the Source pulldown.
You will need to try all the different options, but you can make the image match much better colorwise before you drag your extracted image into your destination document.

the documentation doesn't show the required-property for the checkbox. That should explain why the required sign isn't shown.
But it can simply be added manually:
