In layout of screen 215 in transaction MEQ1 I see field u201CMPN materialu201D, but see this field is invisible for users. How to make this field visible?

In SPRO there is no Field selection for QA. If you want to maintain QA based MPN( get the material number relevant to MPN). Press F4 and select the search criteria search by MPN, you will get the material relevant to that MPN.

Can anyone tell me why it is still invisible though i unchecked the invisible checkbox . Do i need to reassign the transaction variant again to FB50. I didnt do it because it is already assigned and i had just modified.

How to make a new section visible in the server published version

I use UPK 12 Client.
When I click "Link a new section" in an existing Module, I can see it in the outline in the left pane in my UPK 12 Developer. When I then check-in all items, click Publish > select c: drive (a test folder) > Publish entire outline, the outcome includes the new section created.
When I do the exact same procedure, but choose to click Publish > server (which is set up for my UPK) > Publish entire outline, the outcome does NOT include the new section created, but everything else yes.
How to make the new section visible in the server published version?

Hi Sille,
Are you publishing over knowledge center? or is it publishing to a network drive? Once you check in the section save the module once and try again. See if it makes any difference.

You need to create a validation item that is triggered when the user clicks the submit button.
Set the validation type to "Function Returning Error Text".
Then add your validation into the "Validation Expression 1" field. Something like:

I am working on simple webdynpro application, in which I have two radio buttons and three fields.
When I select second radio button second field should be invisible out of three and when I select first radio button the second field should be visible. ie I wanted this happen dynamically. I tried with using some methods but no output....

Hi Prabhu,
I have two radio buttons ex: R1 and R2 and three Fields Ex: Vendor, User Name and Password.
When I select R1 Vendor field should be Visible and when I select R2 Vendor field should be invisible.
I created one attribute of type WDUI_VISIBILITY and binded in Visbility property of Vendor field.
On action of R1 I am setting attribute value as Visible using Set_attribute method and On Action of R2 I am setting BLANK in Set_attribute method. But somehow I am unable get the solution......

How to make fields editable in an custom enhancement

My requirement is to perform some custom validations against a field FKONT(BSEG) at the line item level of FB60 and display appropriate message and make the incorrect field editable.
I have implemented an implicit enhancement point in include MF05AFGENJ.
The error messages are coming but I am unable to make the GL account, cost center and profit center fields editable.
Please let me know how to make the above fields editable after displaying the error message.

The ALV tree control is not intended for making values editable (e.g. see
[How to make ALV tree columns editable|http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-abap/how-to-make-alv-tree-columns-editable-2052414])
However, if you need an editable tree control then you have to use a different class (e.g. CL_ITEM_TREE_MODEL or CL_COLUMN_TREE_MODEL) but you will not have the ALV functionality of the ALV tree control.

Hi Shanthi,
1. You will have to create custom Object type or subobject type depending on your requirement. Custom Object type can be created in SPRO-> Cross component -> UI Framework -> Framework definition -> define object type.
2. Go to configuration tab and create 3 different configurations of your view using different object type/subobject type. First Config will display all the three fields, second would display 2 of 3 and third config to display only one input field.
3. Go to Get_P_xxx method of your dropdown field and trigger server round trip (An event) to ensure that entire view is loaded every time you select value in dropdown.
4. Redefine DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION method from your _IMPL class and here read values in your dropdown field. On the basis of value selected, you can trigger different configurations by using code:
me->set_config_keys( iv_object_type          = <lv_object_type>
                       iv_object_sub_type      = <lv_subtype>
                       iv_propagate_2_children = abap_true ).

You can create a maintenance view for the table & here you can define the maintenance attribute for individual fields.
For the fields you want to be READ-ONLY pass 'R' to those fields. (It is the 4th column from the left, the one to the immediate left of the Key column).
Don't change the TMG function group directly. If you regenerate the TMG the changes would be overwritten !
You can use the Event '01' to fulfill your requirement:
