Can you be a little more specific on what you really want.
When i started doing j2me application, i was required to be able to comunicate to a oracle client database, and my first though was using PHP based pages to comunicate and do the query. Later they would just generate the answer and get it on the cellphone. You can communicate with a PHP server via either GET or POST. I'd choose POST as is more secure IMO.

Try opening a socket, or use the JavaMail API and try to connect it to J2ME.
However, you don't really activate hardware within Java, you create a network or device object and Java connects that to the native implementation and hands off to the OS which then drives the hardware.

I am learning the example codes shipped with weblogic server, which is under ...samples\examples\ejb20\basic\beanManaged. The original connection pool was on cloudscape. I was trying to modify it and make it connect to mySQL.
In ejb-jar.xml and weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, I replaced "demopool" (which was the original pool name) with "demopool1".
After starting the server, I tried to configure a new connection pool as following:
Name: demopool1
URL: jdbc:mysql:///test
Driver Classname: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
Properties
(key=value): user=none
server=none
But I got the following errors:
<2007-10-5 ??06?30?09?> <Error> <JDBC> <Cannot startup connection pool "demopool1" Cannot load driver class: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver>
What should I do to let the server find the Driver?

I have an idea for a t-shirt design that would require that the entire shirt be printed, not just the front and/or back. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on:
1.) How I would make the design on Photoshop CS5 (I also have Illustrator CS3, so I could use that.) BTW: If it helps any, it would be one pattern across the whole t-shirt.
2.) How the heck do I get this made up? Is there a way to make this up at home? Is there a website like Zazzle that will print on the whole t-shirt?

Well #1 is way to ambiguous...... design it however you want as long as it's ready for whatever production processes is used.
#2... No. There are no quick, one-off shops that will do this. In order to have an entire shirt printed, the material is printed flat, then the shirt is cut and sewn from the printed material. This isn't a cheap processes. You might try calling a few local silk screen shops to see if they can refer you to a company that does this. Honestly, unless your'e willing to make a few thousand shirts it's not going to be worth the cost.

There are some examples in LabVIEW's Example Finder (Help menu -> Find Examples...) that might help. Try Hardware Input and Output -> DAQmx -> Counter Measurements -> Position. These examples are usually a great place to start. I looked at "Meas Angular Position-Buffered-Finite-Ext Clk.vi" which looks like it may be of help to you. You can also limit the example finder to only find examples that pertain to your hardware (USB-6211) by configuring the "Hardware" dropdown in the lower left-hand corner of the example finder. If you are browsing, check the "Requirements" list in the lower right-hand to see if a particular example works with your DAQ.

We're starting with Oracle Coherence.
How do I connect an application (for example running in JDeveloper) to an existing grid?
I used the following tutorial to get started with Coherence.

Within JDev an Coherence instance is started, data is entered and queried.
Next I'd like to connect this to a running Coherence instance, (started with [Coherence home]\bin\coherence.cmd)
When I start the coherence.cmd and run the application from within JDev, I can see a connection is made

I am, however, not able to retrieve the data which is entered via JDev.

Hi Leon,
In order to see the entries created by the sample application within JDev, you will need to do several things:
1. Ensure that at least one storage enabled Coherence node is running, by executing cache-server.cmd at least once (coherence.cmd starts storage-disabled console only).
2. Run coherence.cmd and change to the appropriate cache from the console:
Map (?): cache VirtualCache
(the name should be the same as the one defined in cache-config.xml and Java code)
3. Execute commands against the cache:
Map (VirtualCache): list
This should give you a list of all the entries within a VirtualCache.

How to make iTunes connect on demand to a file server?

I moved my iTunes to a volume on a ReadyNas box, the volume is iTunes and the box is NAS. The reason I did that instead of using the ReadyNas iTunes server is that it keeps my playlists working while the server approach causes them to fail. So question 1: is there some sort of playlist fixer script or something for this?
Having the library on the server works fine, I just told iTunes to select a new library and all is well, except that it won't connect to the NAS by itself. If its timed out, or I've disconnected the macbookpro (that iTUnes runs on, which I do most days to go to work) then the next time I run iTunes I get the error that it could not find the library. To fix this all I have to do is go to the finder, click on shared, click on AFP on NAS, click on the iTunes volume and then start iTunes again. The library location in preferences is iTunes:iTunes Library but it can't seem to connect to that unless I do it manually first. Any way to fix that?

I assume iTunes still has the same problem. But with Snow Leopard Apple's VPN works with a Cisco concentrator and does not have the split tunneling problem I had with Cisco's VPN app, so the problem doesn't surface anymore.
