Some books in iBooks can read the text. When one of these is opened, a little speaker icon appears on the top menu. How are these iBooks created using iBooks Author?

You can do this in one of two ways. The first is to have a prerecorded audio file that you can insert in. The other would be using VoiceOver to have that feature read back the contents of the page that you are on. Take a look at the links below for more information.

I would like to publish a book with Read Aloud in Khmer. There would be english text with Khmer translation and the audio read aloud is in Khmer as well.

I have been suckered by this problem too. I had all my e-books, mostly PDFs, saved on my NAS and available in iTunes. I wanted to access them from my old iMac with OS X 10.6.8 and my new iMac with OS X 10.9. But when the files were moved to iBooks, they disappeared from the NAS and now I'm in a mess. I want to make an access report from SharePoint Discussion lists 2013. When i open the list with access, the body of the list is in HTML format in access. Also if i reply something to one subject in the discussion, the reply is not mapped to that subject
but instead it is shown as a separate entry in the database.

Forum a Bit Slower but Better with Read Tracking Enabled

Yesterday morning I spend upwards of an hour catching up on the forums here that I visit, posting responses, etc. until I felt I had found everything I wanted to look at. Today, by contrast, though (from where I sit) the response time is definitely a few seconds slower for each individual operation with Read Tracking enabled, I got through all the new posts in about 10 minutes. And it was FAR more pleasant to do.
It's not intutively obvious that this one little feature could be so important, but rest assured that it is. This is a penny foolish and pound wise change. It's good to know those can still occasionally happen.
Thank you for re-enabling Read Tracking!
If you do have future problems with it, please try harder to fix the problems rather than disabling the feature.

For what it's worth, today it seems as snappy as ever to me. Really good.
But it IS a Sunday after all. I imagine the load is quite different than on a weekday when people are trying to get answers to questions while they do their jobs.

You realize that Adobe Reader doesn't read EPUB files (most of what iBooks does), right? It only reads PDF files.
If you have a PDF already that in iBooks, you'll have to get it out of iTunes on your Mac or Windows computer. iBooks doesn't allow sharing with other PDF/EPUB readers.
Follow the instructions in this document about using iTunes (the section called Personal Computer thru iTunes). You'll need to export the PDF to your computer, then re-import it using the instructions into Adobe Reader.
iBooks is not a good sharing citizen!

ACR is not a start able application and Photoshop has no feature to import images from your camera's sd media to computers storage devices. I just use Windows File explorer. We are working in our project to make custom reports as archive enabled so that they can read archived data.
Need some information on the below queries.
1.Is there any function module to read selected data from archive file? For example i don't want to read the whole BKPF table data from archive file instead want to get belnr and bukrs only.
2. What are the perfromance measure which can be taken while making an existing program archive enabled
3. Important archiving tables which can help for the above.
4. When i use the function module "Archive_open_for_read' then system displays a pop up to select the archive files based on the archive object.
Considering that all the reports are run in background how do i make sure that in background run all the archive files are selected and processed.

1. You have to create a separate field catelogus and AIS according to your requirement with the required fields you want . Because the standard structures and field catelogues contains many fields from all tables. So before doing the read operation you have to deactivate the standard AIS and activate your newly created AIS .
2. Can you give some more details for this question to be answered.
3. The important archiving tables used are ARCH_IDX,ARCH_RPRG,ARCH_DEF.
4. While scheduling the Read process in batch mode , it will give you three criterias to be entered.
     . Spool Parameters
     (ii). Start date
     (iii). Archive selection of files.
    Unless you enter values for any one of these options , You cannot execute the batch job.

I got an iBook that is missing two of the three tab release keys. I got replacements keys and they came with these very tiny springs. I decided I don't know how to make this repair - how to replace the keys. This is not covered at iFixit.com. Any help out there?

usually the best way for me to replace a key is you pull the white suspension off the key and clip it to the board where it's suppose to be first.
next, look at the bottom of the key. there are four connection points. 2 are clip type, the other 2 are like a slider joint. put the slider joint together first by taking the key & hooking it to the suspension - only one way, any other way & the key would be upside down.
you pay have to hold up the suspension with something like a small tool or toothpick.
pull the tool out while holding onto the key. take the key, lay it flat & push down. hold down & move it around a bit until the other side clips in.

You can create a maintenance view for the table & here you can define the maintenance attribute for individual fields.
For the fields you want to be READ-ONLY pass 'R' to those fields. (It is the 4th column from the left, the one to the immediate left of the Key column).
Don't change the TMG function group directly. If you regenerate the TMG the changes would be overwritten !

How to use iBook with projector

Hello. I have a 12" iBook G4. I might be needing to use a projector with it in the near future and I'm not an expert on projector connections and stuff like that. I know my iBook has a video-out and I have the adapter which connects a video cable to a TV. I'm just wondering if projectors have video-in ports like TVs? Or how would I use my iBook with a projector? Please let me know. Thanks!

The Apple iBook G4 specs says:
Video mirroring supports VGA video out to an external display or projector (requires included Apple VGA Video Adapter) and S-video and composite video out to a TV or VCR (requires optional Apple Video Adapter, sold separately).
You can find the necessary cables in the Apple Store under Mac Accessories/Cables.

The slider + checkbox behavior was a problem with the first version of the exporter API in CS4, but in CS5 it has been fixed. The problem was in how the exporter host layer interpreted the parameters specified via the Export Param Suite. So when making presets for your exporter, it would make sense to use CS5, since CS4 has the problematic behavior. I haven't tried this, but bringing those presets from CS5 back to CS4 may solve the problem in CS4.
So far we haven't had any need or request for two editable fields side-by-side.

Without customizing, this may be accomplished via Permission List Security.
Go to PeopleTools - Security - Permission List
Select the desired Permission List. Click on the Pages tab.
Find the menu and click on "Edit Components" hyperlink.
Find the Component on the List and click on the "Edit Pages" hyperlink.
Click on the Display Only check box for each page in the component you wish Display Only.
If that does not sufice, you may use PeopleCode to set the Field DisplayOnly property to true for those editable fields that you wish not to be.
