How to make Instron Bluehill (strain controller) communicate with labview (temperature controller)

Hallo
we are now using instron to do some mechanical test, with instron bluehill to control the strain rate.
At the same time, Labview is used to control the temperature since samples are heated during load.
we hope that Labview can communicate with Instron so that when the instron test is end, the RSD (Remote software Deployment) of Labview can be off automatically.
Can someone give me some advice??
Thanks.

Hi Snail,
Bluehill looks to be the software which ships with the strain controller hardware.  The question is really does that software provide any interface that an IDE can tap into?  ActiveX, .NET are a couple of examples - I would give Instron a call.  There is reference to an ActiveX API here - but no specifics.

  • How do I let local Flash content communicate with the Intranet?

How do I let local Flash content communicate with the
Intranet if you don't have intenet access to set it up? you se like
a host for example with is out of an internet conexion, but the
flash file use a web service that it's on the intranet but can't
    config the Global security settings.....
    help!!!

That variable could be simply called... nextSection
If you plan to use frame labels, than nextSection would be a String, otherwise it would be an Int (integer).  So when you click the button for section X of the site, the nextSection value is assigned either the frame label or the frame number of that button's section.  Then at the end of your outro, you have a line of code.... gotoAndPlay(nextSection)
The nextSection variable should be declared in an actions layer that only has code in frame one but extends unbroken for the full length of the timeline.  This makes it available to anywhere along the timeline where it needs to be either read or assigned.  I sually use two layers for actions... one to hold such things like this that get shared anywhere along the timeline (function/variables)... and another for frame-specific actions (stop, value assignment, function calls, etc)

Req any examples of how to use a USB midi controller/keyboards with Labview TIA

    Hi,
To access the MIDI ports you will need to call the Windows SDK. To send MIDI commands is relatively easy, here is an example that shows you how to send data to a MIDI controller or keyboard.
As far as input goes, this is the hard part. There are a series of functions that you need to call to open up the device, set some buffers and and possibly a callback to get notifications on the incoming data.
Reading MIDI data will not be an easy task, your best bet will be to implement this in a DLL and call that DLL in LabVIEW, there should be some code available o the web.
= "http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/multimed/htm/_win32_multimedia_... is a link to the Windows multimedia functions that you could use for MIDI input.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Has anyone figured out how to make the Yamaha 01V96i mixer work with Logic 9.1.8

Has anyone figured out how to make the Yamaha 01V96i mixer work with Logic 9.1.8 as a control surface ?

    In YAMAHA01v96i:
Go to DIO/SETUP select Generic DAW. Go to MIDI settings page and set the desired port (personally I use Number 1), Select the same audio frequency you use in your DAW (I use 44.1KhZ)...at this point You should save a scene in you 01V96i to avoid to repeat all the procedure again.
Open studio manager, go to patch and set the input port from 17 to 32 respectively to USB1-USB16 (this will give you the return from you DAW to the 01v96i
Save again the scene overwriting the old one.
    in LOGIC
Click on preferences, select Audio then select 01v96i, then click on control surface and select Mackie design Baby HUI and in the midi session set the same port that you've been setting on the Yamaha 01V96i (Port 1 if you follow this example).
    That's more or less it.
    It worked for me...so far

  • Who can i make a set-reset flip-flop with labview interacting with for cycle outputs

Who can i make a set-reset flip-flop with labview interacting with for cycle outputs

Are you wanting a VI that emulates a RS filp flop, or do you have a question about using an actual one?
You can make a RS flip flop by knowing the 4 states:
    R=0, S=0, Q=no change
    R=0, S=1, Q=1
    R=1, S=0, Q=0
    R=1, S=1, Q=?(invalid condition)
I have attached a RS flip flop VI in LV version 6.0

  • How does the WCS communicate with the 4402 controller ?

I would like to place the WCS server on a different vlan than the controller. How do they communicate ?
    Regards
    J Folkestad

    Hello,
WCS communicates with the controller mainly through SNMP and HTTPS. You will find a list of protocols used on CCO
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_tech_note09186a00806f070a.shtml#portswcssvr
So no problem to have WCS and controllers management ip addresses on two different subnets.

  • How does the PCI-6229 DAQ-card communicate with CB-68LP connector block?

    Hello!
I want to do a very simple task which is to just turn on/off a LED. I am using LabVIEW 7.1 and I have a DAQ-card PCI-6229. The DAQ-card is then wired to a connector block CB-68LP.
Now my problem is to figure out how the connector block communicates with the DAQ-card?
In the file I attached there is a picture of connector block and the device pinouts from the DAQ-card. But how do I know which of pinouts triggers some connector on the connectorblock?
Which are digital outputs on the DAQ-card?
Where can I read about this?
    Attachments:
    daqANDconnectorblock.bmp ‏2437 KB

    Hello asc01001:
The digital pins of the PCI-6229 are labelled as Px.y, where x is the port name while y is the channel name.  For example, pin52 of the NI 6229 is P0.0; which is also port 0, channel 0 of the digital I/O of the DAQ card.
While "D GND", which are located at pin53, pin18, pin50, etc. are the negative terminal of all digital I/O of the DAQ cards.
    Please advice if this helps.

  • HT2801 How to make external "SuperDrive" work on iMac with failed built-in?

WHY is my new external "SuperDrive" "designed exclusively for use with Mac computers that do not have a built-in optical drive"?  How can I make it work on my iMac with a failed built-in "SuperDrive" that was obviously junk to begin with?  I ordered it from a Staples kiosk that had zero product information but the name of the product was USB SuperDrive and it was made by Apple so I reasoned it would run on my Apple.  I bought an LG 2 months ago when the built-in failed but the LG only worked about a month then every disc burn was aborted as "error."  So I bought new burn software from the Apple app store but still "error" so I went to Staples and bought this and it didn't work so I ise a magnifying glass to read the light grey letters on the white box and it says "Compatible with Mac systems without a built-in optical drive."  I found articles online advising how to hack my own computer to make this work but I am low-tech and afraid of wrecking my computer.  I am FURIOUS with Apple, I buy it only because Windows gave me such grief but honestly Apple hardware has OFTEN proven itself short-lived and low quality.  PLEASE how do I burn an audio CD with my stupid iMac peice of garbage?

    Calm down.
If you so choose here are some quality optical drives you can purchase, online here.

For Mac burning software, you can purchase and use Roxio Toast.

OR you can try this freeware software called simply Burn.

  • How to use DG Gryphon Toolkit to communicate with the vehicle using ISO 9141-2 protocol

    Hi All,
I am trying to use the Dearborn Group's Gryphon Toolkit to communicate with the vehicle & read some parameters. I have downloaded the toolkit from here. I have got the DG's S3 device. This device supports different protocols. But I could not proceed with the protocol selection using the Gryphon LabVIEW Toolkit. It would be nice to get some guidance here. Is there anyone who had worked with the toolkit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Priyadarsini S

Is there anybody who had had exposure to this toolkit? How do we use the toolkit, for eg. to read Engine Coolant temp? I do not see a place where I can specify the PID number. Also is it really important to know a protocol completely by which Gryphon toolkit will communicate with a vehicle - Or just the knowledge of the Gryphon Communication protocol enough? It would be great to have the answers as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance,
    Priyadarsini S

  • How do I allow Flash Player to communicate with Internet-enabled locations?

Ok, so I'm trying to build a website using Dreamweaver CS6 and I wish to place a flash object in the site (a .swf file).
I go through all the normal ways to do it, whether it be by manually placing it in, or using the Insert > Media > SWF.
Now the main issue with this is the expressInstall.swf script it chucks out.
Whenever I try to preview the webpage in a browser such as Firefox or Chrome, it immediatly decides to stop the flash under the pretense of it being an unsafe operation by trying to communicate with an Internet-enabled location (that location being fpdownload.macromedia.com)
Now, regardless of whether I delete ths parameter or not, the error message always appears, so I believe this is a Flash Player error. I currently have the newest version. Also something I noticed is when I publish preview my flash objects into a flash format, that they open themselves in a html browser rather than a Flash Player program.
So does anyone know how to allow Flash Player to communicate with internet-enabled locations?

Would you mind reposting this question over on the Flash Professional forums?  This forum is primarily for end users, the Pro forums will get you in touch with a wider developer audience.
    Thanks,
    Chris
