If you mean image like this It look like a gray/black background with a letter path stroked on it. Over that layer is an composite image layer. This later has two layer mask one a vector mask that hide the layer but for the area inside the letter. A second hide all raster layer mask that was painted on with white to let the image subject girl show.

Thanks very much for your help, but I'm still overlooking something. I double checked to make sure that I did not have a hidden .txt file extention. I then decided to abandon the lock on preferences idea until I get it working. I converted my mozilla.cfg file back to plain text. I made sure I do not have an extra blank line at the end of each file. The syntax looks good, as far as I can tell. I'll copy and paste what I have so far. Did I have the file locations correct posted above? Also, if you feel i can delete some lines of text in my mozilla.cfg file I'll be happy to do so.

hi,
essentially you would not call it a starting picture, itz called a splash screen. you can create it in a very simple manner,
just follow the steps.
1. have a class that extends Canvas
2. add a jlabel and by adding a imageicon containing the image to the jlabel
3. have a timer or a thread, start the timer and at the same time show the canvas in the middle of the screen
4. and after some time, just close the window and show the main application window. (also stop the timer or thread)
you could of course make it better if you allow the setting of the image file and timeout to be set dynamically, but thatz of course not much of a problem.

There may be other methods, but below is how I change my email photo.
Here is how to change your Mac Mail email photo in Mountain Lion:
Open the App called "Contacts". Type your name in the search field. Your contact info and photo should appear. Click on your photo. You now have some photo options. I use the "Recents" tab, and simply drag photo files from Finder into that window in Contacts. Drag and drop.
If you have trouble finding yourself in "Contacts" you can also get there by doing this:
Open one of your sent messages. Double click your photo in that message. This opens another window with your photo in it. Double-click that photo. This should open your contact information in the Contacts App.

The guest user icon is a PNG file stored deep within OS X. I don't recommend you change operating system components that exist at that level though. Besides, the change is not likely to survive an OS X update.
If you really want to change it I'll post its location, but you'll be on your own if something breaks.
Edit: You'd be facing the same problem as in your other question: How to change folder symbol on desktop back to original? Modifying the Mac's basic user interface fundamentals can result in instability. If you want to perform that sort of customization anyway, always have a backup strategy in case something goes wrong. unfortunately, there is no option yet to block/filter contact requests, regardless if they are requests from legitimate users or from possible spammers/scammers. The only things you can do at the moment is indeed to ignore and block them (and report them to abuse@skype,net).
The Privacy Settings in Skype can only prevent/stop unwanted calls/instant messages from non-contacts, not contact requests.

Lastly, I changed the last keyframe in the last clip to a "Smooth" , and added head and tail trim to the entire effect so the bars would start static, spin and the end static.
Like I say, it's far from perfect but may either point you toward a solution or trigger ideas of your own.

I am facing this urgent case which is:
* My company have 2 payrolls, they need to make security based on payrolls, and the case is our HR team can access all employees data including elements except managers elements or managers data at all ( so they cant find them while querying on them from people enter and maintain window)
* I tried to make a separate payroll for managers (third payroll) and then making security profile includes all payrolls so they can access all payrolls element and data, then I make another security profile with the original 2 payrolls for other HR team so they can access employees assigned to these payrolls only, but I had to choose which is restricted ( employees or contingent workers or applicants or contacts), I tried to restrict employees in both security options, then I assigned the first security profile which includes the 3 payrolls to their responsibility in profile options, also did that with the second security profile and assigned to the profile option for the responsibility of HR team.
after choosing restrict employees in security profiles, in both responsibilities I cant find any employees( because I restricted them).
Please tell me how to make some of the top management cannot be find within search in people enter and maintain, only top management responsibilities can access all employees data and information.

i have a camera that has taken 4000x3000 pictures and 1280x720 HD videosand want to make a HD DVD movie
i wanted to use premiere pro for making this movie because ive become slightly used to it
i am using this on a 1600x900 17-inch laptop
but i cant see the full pictures in ppro, i can add them but only a ~quarter gets shown and even i export it, it doesnt show everything
how can i make this work or is there another product that can do this?

I want any user to be able to edit his own profile without the necessity of going through a request approval workflow for the same. To achieve this, I removed the ALL USERS role from the Self Profile Modify request template. Then created a new Authorization policy with Self Service User Management option and gave ALL USERS role the permission to Modify User Profile. Now this should make it work. However now I get the error on console
An error occurred. The corresponding error code is IAM-2050059
and the following in the logs -
java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key IAM-2050059
Nothing apart from these errors. Is it due to LDAP Sync? But that should not be the case. Is there no way a profile can be made self editable in OIM?

Are you referring to the steps you have mentioned here?? I already have those in place. At present, when I modify user profile, the request is raised and on subsequent refresh I see the modified profile since the auto approval workflow executes for the same. But what I meant was like can't we have the user to be able to modify his request without the request getting raised internally? Coz when the user clicks on submit after modification, though the auto approval is enabled he sees that his submit raised a request in the system. I wanted him to be able to change his profile directly just like any admin can do from the administration tab.

I was supplied a file in CS3 with a photo. I do not have the original photo. The photo is dark and in PS I would use brightness/contrast and curves. Is there a brightness contrast feature in CS3. i have not found it yet? Is there anything similar? Thoughts on how to achieve this?

the best way to manage color in photos is Photoshop, so, select that photo in Ai, I suppose it is embedded, copy, go to photoshop and chose file New, accept the values and paste.
Make all your adjustments and save the file, then relink the photo in Ai.
Under Edit/edit colors there are some options, but I dont think works well with photos
This option works great with vectors.
