  • Is there a way to make the iPod Nano 7 run smoother?

I love the iPod Nano. It's great. I've had mine for something like two years now, and I love it. But lately it's been acting up. It connects to my docking station, but if you touch the iPod in anyway, it will immediately disconnect and stop playing music, even though it's still plugged in. Also, sometimes with earbuds, the music will fizzle, crack, or even stop completely. When used with other devices, the earbuds work fine. So, if you have any ideas on how to fix these problems, please let me know!

    Hey Harold the Lion Tamer,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with your iPod nano (7th generation). The following resource outlines basic troubleshooting steps, and tips on the next best steps if your issue is not resolved:

The Five Rs: Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
Remember these five basic suggestions if you have an issue with iPod nano. Try these steps one at a time until the issue is resolved. If one of the following doesn't help, read on for solutions to specific issues.
    - Reset iPod nano. First, make sure iPod nano is charged. Then press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes.
    - Restart your computer and make sure that you have the latest software updates installed.
    - Download and reinstall iTunes.
    - Restore iPod nano.

If the issue is still not resolved, please read this information on servicing your iPod.

  • How durable is an ipod nano 2nd generation

    hello everyone..
ok so i have posted a question as too wether or not sand might cause harm to an ipod(solved.)
but now i wanna know.. how durable is an ipod nano?
now im not encouraging ppl to do crazy tests on their precious ipod nano but just please tell me what little 'accidents' u have done to ur ipods eg. dropped it whilst jogging, left it in ur pocket when u put your clothes in the wash, or dropped it in the toilet(ewww.) etc. and what the results were.
oh yea and how it compares to the first gen. nano in scratchability if u own both.
    thanks (in advance):)

Oh all of my ipods ive never prefered smelly leather either. I tried a silicone case adn didnt like how it felt or how it attracted dust easily. If you wnat to show off the color of your ipod then you might be interested in a case liek this

another hot alternative that grew in popularity for the original ipod nano was an invisible shield casue of how tough it was though it was tedious to apply.

    hope these help.

how to unlock my ipod nano when i have forgot code

If you do not know the combination, you can try and connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it.  Upon properly ejecting it from iTunes and your PC, you may find that it is now unlocked. If it is, disable the screen lock or change the combination immediately.
Otherwise, your only other option is to connect it to iTunes and restore it to factory settings.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How i conect my ipod nano to wi fii

How conect my ipod nano to wi fii

I actually have a dlink as well.
As soon as you pull it out of the box, make sure to synch and register to it to Apple. All of it is pretty automatic, and when you're done, you should have your iTunes library on your Touch, and you can connect/disconnect the iPod without being asked for anything. Once that's all set-up, turn it on and tap the settings. A button for "Wi-Fi" should be available (top of the list). If it says "Not Connected" in blue, then you have not set up an automatic connection. Tap the "Not Connected" to bring up your network list. Give it about 30 seconds (or more) to locate all of the wireless networks. If none display, make sure the "Wi-Fi" slider is to the "ON" position (this is located at the top). If you haven't messed with your wireless router, you should see a network named "dlink". Just tap it, and it should connect.

  • How to sync old ipod nano to current itunes for ipod touch?

I have an ipod touch and upgraded itunes and registered new ipod. I have an old ipod nano that was previously registered to my itunes account. I'd like to add my playlists to this ipod as well. I'm afraid I will wipe out my library as I have in the past. How can I do this?

Sync it normally, following the instructions in this article if necessary.

  • HOW TO MAKE 2 IPODS SEPARATE ITUNES LIBRARY

HELLO, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME POSTING A QUESTION. I PURCHASED MY IPOD NANO IN DECEMBER AND MY DAUGHTER HAS ONE ALSO, SHE HAS A DIFFERENT ONE THAN MINE, IT HAS LESS STORAGE. MY QUESTION IS, WHEN SHE PLUGS IN HERS TO UDATE AND CHARGE IT SAYS HER NAME AND THE TYPE OF IPOD SHE HAS. HER LIBRARY FILLED WITH ALL HER SONGS AND SHE UPDATES. WHEN I GO TO PLUG IN MINE IT SAYS MY NAME WITH MY IPOD, BUT IT'S THE SAME LIBRARY WITH ALL HER SONGS. SHE DID PLUG IN MINE AND DELETED ALL HER SONGS AND PUT MY SONGS IN MY IPOD. BUT WHEN SHE THEN PLUGGED HERS IN, ALL HER LIBRARY WAS LOST, DELTED AND IT'S WAS THE SONGS SHE PUT IN MINE. SO...HOW DO WE KEEP OUR IPOD/ITUNES IN SEPARTE ONE FOR HER AND HER IPOD AND ONE FOR ME AND MY IPOD? THANK YOU.

It sounds as though you should look at syncing to a playlist rather than your whole library. That way you can control what goes onto each iPod.
    See this general help:

And also this on using multiple iPods on one computer:

I was thinking of method 2, but you could look at the other methods too.
