How to make non-QT format content?

I apologize in advance for what is probably a very simple question.
Here is my situation: I have a large MP4 file (20 MB) that I need to convert to something smaller that can be viewed on both Macs and Windoze machines. I have tried exporting the file from QT pro to mov and mp4 but PCs in my office don't seem to be able to play the video. Since this is going online, I have to assume that many PC people may not have QT, so what options do I have that are not mov or mp4?

It all comes down to a matter of personal choice/preferences: How much are you willing to spend? How much effort are you willing to put into your project? And which segment of potential viewers do you wish to alienate the most and/or least? If you go with a non-QT compression format, then your files may well be incompatible some/many Mac viewers. Using latest compression formats (whether Windows or Mac) may be incompatible with older player (be they Windows or Mac). Use of some formats may require some Mac users install non-universal compliant software which may create incompatibleity problems with latest Mac platforms. And on and on it goes.
To maintain the widest potentional distribution, you may wish to consider use of multiple targeted files like many current sites offer. If you are more interested in Windows users than Mac users, then you might try something like DivX 6 or Flip4Mac full export codecs which have free player modules for Mac users but, of course, does not guateantee such users will download and use them any more than Windows users who opt not to download the free QT Player. This does, of course, mean you will have to shell out additional cash for each codec you might wish to employ. On the other hand, you could elect to download one of the free older full DivX codecs (e.g., v5.1.1 or v5.2.1) which generally have the advantage of remaining compatible with (but less efficient than) the newer codecs. Do you for instance, need MP3/MPEG Layer-3 AVI format compatibility? And so on and on the choices go. Do you have any notions or statistics regarding the requirements of your average potential target viewer?

I believe Solaris 9 also has RBAC control. If so then all you need to do is present the uid with the PRIV_NET_PRIVADDR privilege. See the privielegs(5) manpage for more information on the subject.
This privilege will allow the userid to bind to ports < 1024. You can give a user this privilege either by using usermod (you will probably need the auth_attr(4) manpage as well) after which you need to login again. Or you can try using ppriv to modify the privileges on the users shell.

I really don't understand what you're trying to do.
In the ComboBox default state, you cannot type text into the non-drop-down portion. If you set it to editable, then you can type text in the non-drop-down portion.
But, in both of these situations, the user can still open the drop down and select a new value.
Do you want to display a drop down, but not give the users the ability to select a new option? If so, you might not be able to work something up by listening to the change event, although I would expect that to be non-conducive to good interface design.
If you don't want to show the drop down at all, use a Text component instead of a ComboBox.
You might also try disabling the ComboBox in order to prevent the user from interacting with it.
If you can elaborate on what behavior you're expecting and why it is unexpected, that might help us point you in the right direction.

You can implement the BADI" BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI".
You can check for the role of the user who has logged in(e.g. for user REQUESTER,there will be a distinct role to idnetify that the user is a requester) and then acc set the display properties for the field PRICE.

Hi,
In lightroom 4 I found a really useful tip where you can alter the file that controls how teh date format part of the import dialogue works - and more importantly it allows you to choose teh folder locations too, so when I import from another camera I can have the folder structure how I like.
The annoying thing is that I know its there and it will just be a case of copying the file I made to the right location.

Typical, as soon as I post I find it!!
For anyone else looking for this its a file called: TranslatedStrings.txt
This should go in: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5\Resources\en
You may need to make the en folder (and the file for that matter I forget)
The formatting I used was this:

we have the following situation:
We have two NW 7.0 Portals: 1 Main Portal on and 1 BI-Portal
We would like to do a remote role assignment via the Federated Portal option in the Portal, so that we can make the BEX-Explorer role from the BI Portal available in our main Portal.
I've already created a connection to the BI-Portal (Producer-Portal) in "Federated Portal" and have already registered the main portal as the Consumer in the BI Portal. I used SAP Help for that:

Now I have the problem, that I can not find the remote role from the BI Portal in the Identity Management of our main Portal? Does anybody has a idea (or maybe a solution ) how to fix this problem? The SAP Help is not very helpful, it always deals with the same notes...

first of all i would check that the SSO is working between the two portals..
Log into one of the portal.. Change the URL to the other portal. If you have to log in, then there is a problem with your SSO. Remember to have enough permission on both the portal.
If that works, then log into the consumer portal and check what you find in the portal content of the producer portal.

you can create a message mapping in your own namespace with the use of message interfaces from this
sap basis SWCV

I hope this question does not sound confusing.
When I click the Collapsible tab, I want the content to appear from the top - not the bottom. (See example link: http://www.longhollow.com - click "Time & Location" on the top right and you will see the content appear on the top). Do you know how to do this? Preview: How to make "Rotate without modifying contents" the default?

In Snow Leopard, the Preview application finally learned to modify the orientation of JPEG images by simply adjusting the orientation tag in the EXIF headers and (unlike previous versions) without touching the rest of the data at all. To use this feature, you have to rotate an image to the correct orientation, select "Save As" and then check the "Rotate without modifying contents" option before you click on the Save button.
Unfortunately this option does not seem to stick (I have to check the box again every time) and it is not used when you select "Save" or "Save All" instead of "Save As". So if you want to browse and rotate a large number of photos from a camera without an orientation sensor, you have to repeat the procedure above for every single shot taken in portrait orientation, or otherwise Preview will re-encode the rotated images at an arbitrarily chosen compression ratio and thus degrade their image quality.
Is there any way to make Preview
a) keep the option selected and, more importantly,
b) use it by default when selecting "Save" and "Save All" as well?

I'm not really sure if this is documented but you can navigate the entire menu using the keyboard. (I only have up to PSE 3 so I'm assuming it hasn't been stripped out of Elements yet.)

Why is filter T? F was taken by file, I was taken by image, and L was taken by layers. The Organizer can also be navigated in this manner.
Edit: Some menu items will not have underscores but can still be done this way. They are easy enough to guess since you know they use letters in the word. Example: Unsharp mask. Press alt + T (to open filter menu); then S (for Sharpen); then right arrow key (opens the sharpen submenu); then U (for Unsharp Mask).
If on a mac, I believe you would substitute the opt key for the alt key.

How to make non-visible Control on Front Panel Appear at Design Time?

I have some Controls on the Front Panel whose visibility is changed (turned on or off) at Run Time. The problem is that if I stop the Run time, the Visibility of the Control remains in the runtime state in Design mode. So I may not be able to see or find the Control to make changes in Deisgn mode.
How can I make all Controls on the Front Panel visible, or find and make visible a Control on the Front Panel whose Visibility has been made False?

Displaying Hidden Front Panel Objects
Complete the following steps to display a hidden front panel control or indicator. You also can hide front panel controls and indicators.
Find the block diagram terminal for the object. If you have several terminals with the same data type, right-click the terminals and select Visible Items»Label from the shortcut menu. Find the object with the label that matches the hidden front panel object.
Right-click the terminal and select Show Control from the shortcut menu if the object is a control or Show Indicator if the object is an indicator.
You also can use the Visible property to display controls and indicators programmatically.
You also can display all hidden front panel controls and indicators.
