How to make Path point from inputed variable

Hi Im wandering how I can replicate the rectangle tool in Illustrator where by I can input sizes into a window and it shall draw an object for me. The problem I have is stating that a point should be a (variable1,variable2) instead of (X,Y)
im using the java ExtendScript Toolkit. so im trying:

Yeah, I understand. I have to put the keyword first, the problem is sometimes I transfer almost around 800 photos at once. I haven't had much time to sort every photos and put the keyword on every Path photo. Beside so many photos in my library, and not well-organized. Also I have tried any possibilities of relevant criteria in smart album. But still zero result.
So, before I actually take the time to organize my thousands of photos manually, I was thinking maybe there's another way, simple and smart one, with this smart album feature. Anyone?

I am designing work-flow of my application through BPEL(JDeveloper), I am making different BPEL projects for different functions, like sales manager got the order from sales person and sales manager either approve it or reject it, if he approve it it goes to Production manager and he ships the goods, now I want to keep sales person, sales manger,production manager in seperate BPEL files and want to get the output of sales person to sales manager and sales manager to production manager please help me in dong this.
I was trying to make partner link in Sales manager of sales person and getting the input from there. I dont know this is right even or not, if it is right I dont know how to make data flow from one application to other.

Yes you can do this.
If you each integration point to be in different process, you have to create three BPEL process.
1. Create a Async BPEL process 'A' which will be initiated when sales person creates the order.
2. From BPEL process 'A' call a ASync BPEL process 'B' which has the approval flow. Depending on the input from process 'A' the sales manager will review the order in workflow and approve or reject and send the result back to process 'A'.
3. Based on the result from workflow, invoke the Sync BPEL process 'C', where you can implement the shipping logic.

How to make use of the presentation variable in SQL result query

I have 2 prompts in my dashboard.
Prompt1 decides the values of Prompt2.
I have set a presentation Variable (selected_comp) in prompt1 which holds the value selected.
To populate the values for Prompt2, I need to execute a query using the presenation variable set by Prompt1.
SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=@{selected_comp}
the query is resulting into
SQL Issued: SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=0
but the value in selected_comp is "ABC".
Can anybody help in how to make use of the presentation variable in query to get the correct value

Just use constrain check box to filter your 2nd prompt values based on the 1st prompt.

How do i extract year from a variable???

Hi all,
I want to extract year from a parameter.
I tried the following, i'm getting errors.
When I executed the below code,
SELECT TO_CHAR(:X_PRM_YR_END_DT,'YYYY') FROM dual;
I got the following error.
ORA-01722:invalid number
When I executed the below code,
SELECT TO_DATE(:X_PRM_YR_END_DT,'YYYY') FROM dual;
SELECT to_char(TO_DATE(:X_PRM_YR_END_DT,'YYYY')) FROM dual;
I got the following error.
ORA-01830: date format end before converting entire input string
When I executed the below code,
SELECT extract(YEAR FROM :X_PRM_YR_END_DT) FROM dual;
SELECT extract(YEAR FROM 1/11/2013) FROM dual;
I got the following error.
ORA-30076: invalid extract field for extract source

Formula variable with replacement path to another input variable

Hi @ all,
i have a question regarding "Formula variable with replacement path to another input variable".
My Problem is that in selection screen and for info-fields the input variable is shown with its key and not with its description.
Scenario:
A formula variable (X) is used to get an input value of a characteristic variable (Y) for 0Fiscper3 to realize a IF-Then scenario.
The formula variable (X) uses replacement path by variable (Y) replace by "key".
In selection screen of the query variable (Y) is named with its key "ZAB_BUPE01" and not with its description " fiscal period". Same as for info-fields where the description is "ZAB_BUPE01" and not " fiscal period".
Does anybody have a solution to display the selection variable correctly?

Issue Solved!
The input varaible (y) for 0Fiscper3 was saved globally on the InfoProvider. This results in that the formula variable with replacement path only shows its technical name. I put the input variable in the query itself and it soved the problem. The variable is displayed with its description in selection screen.

WAD:
Open the WAD and create a new template. On the left hand navigation you will have several Web Items available. Under 'Standard' you have 'Analysis' item. Pull that into your template to the right. Under the Properties tab you need to pick the query [form/layout] that you have built in Query Designer.
You will also find other items such as Button group, Checkbox, drop down, list box etc available. Pick and drag into the template whatever it is you require. Lets say you want a button. Under the Properties tab select the 'Command' that you require. You could use standard commands that are available there. You could also define functions and commands that you require.
Query Designer:
Open the QD and drag the characteristics and key figures that you require into the rows and columns of the QD. You would need to specify restrictions under the Filter tab of the QD based on the granularity of data that you require. You would need to remember that the key figures need to be made Input Ready [do this by clicking on KF and on the planning tab select "change by user and planning functions"].
This shouldgive you a start. After you've explored it yourself a bit we can discuss further and I can certainly provide you additional details/material on these areas.

Ah, but wouldn’t it be ever so much easier to explain if you actually provided (a lores of) the image in question?
And how do I make the background transparent?
Preferably with a Layer Mask and then saving in the appropriate file format (psd or png24 for example support transparency).

OK, well sorry to disagree with you but:-
1. Using windows 7, the download does not provide a save but only a run option.
2. In the MS predownload instructions you copied it refers to the readme text next to "the ISO image"
3. This is a copy of the read me file attached:-

As you will see it refers to the downloaded .iso file. Nowhere is there a reference to a msi. As there was only a run function on the downloaded file, it could not be saved. How is an ordinary Windows user meant to interpret the instructs
if the download function does not work? What you do is try and follow the instructions and produce a load of frigging coffee mats, as it seems did many of the posters on this thread. Are we all illiterate?
If Microsoft could think in the way of a user it would help a lot of people.
So Rick Dee, please inform me how I misread the instructions?

As you have found in the View Menu of iChat is the option to Display the Recipients Bar
This bar when clicked will display the Screen Names that you know for your Buddy and your own Screen Names.
The Buddy's names are in the "To:-" section whilst your own are in the "From:-"
Example pic from my iChat 6
The Chat window has to Be Open.
The Buddy's current name becomes a Drop Down that show the To and From names.
It appears to allow you to Connect Google or Jabber IDs to AIM Buddies but the tick will move to any valid Account if you change either the To choice or the From choice.
AS you say about the add Buddy drop down that appears - when your Buddy list are displayed as one an extra drop down appears fro you to Select the account/list it is joining as a Buddy

Only you can decide what you want to delete to free up space on your PB, Personally I think you'll find 17 GB won't go very far when you start to add video.
Consider an external drive. Don't forget if you let your free space fall below 10% of the total size of the drive you will risk corrupting your directory structure or causing other damage which may result in a loss of data.

So I'm trying to make smart album for all of my Path's photos stored in my iPhoto library, but I find it difficult to determine proper filter.
I have tried to make smart album from instagram's, with this: Any Text - contains - instagram
But it doesn't work for path photos.
Can anyone here give me any clue? Thank in advance

File information -- How to retrieve file name from header variable

I am using File Adapters to read files(.xml) and then I need to perform some database operations.
One of the requirement is storing the file name read into the DB.
I searched through the forum and got the information on how to configure this in the header variable. The link below shows the same.
File Adapter
Now, I use the XSL mapper to map the source values(from input xml file) to the corresponding table column names. So how should I get the value of the file name.
I saw some of the in-built functions to be used for this but there is not enough documentation to proceed.
Can anyone please provide some solution on this.

Hi,
Here are the steps that you need to do after you have declared the variable.
1) The variable that you have declared should have the following elements
a) Filename
b) Directory
2) Use the assign activity to copy the value of the filename part of this variable to the arg that needs to be passed to the database. (most probably an invoke variable).

My client wanted me to create something that allows certain
DataGrid to display to allow users to edit and update the database
records. The only dilemma I am having here is how to actually
create something from Flex's end to allow users update several rows
of the database at once. Since everything in my HTTPService is in
DataGrid, how can I get Flex to recognize each of the updated
variables while I update the database? I tried using dg.
.id in my code, but I kept getting errors that say it is not
defined. Is there some way where I can make selectedItem be a
dynamic variable?

Add like an updated property to each item in the collection.
Then set it
when the user has changed something. Then filter the
collection to items
that have been updated and send them to the server.
