I was very happy when I bought a brand new HP PAVILION dv2601tx Special Edition in Dec 2007.
Till one year there was no issue in my lap except high temperature that was not major one, but just before completion of one year problem started and I bought HP care pack for my lap, after that I submitted my system 5 times for atleast 15 days in a single complain.
Till now HP replaced almost every part of my laptop. They Changed/Replaced
System Board 2 Times
HDD 2 Times
DVD R/W 1 Time
Screen Panel 1 Time
And again problem comes, when I take my lap back and comes to home and start my lap very eagerly, i found system screen was not responding properly, that stuck at any point of time and screen become white with some spots on it, that was all just after 1 days system back from service center. And when I submit my lap again they said we need to replace Screen Panel. from last 1 month my system Iwas in HP Service Center.
I am not understanding what kind of a system is this, which type of Quality Check going on in HP Service centers. and after this instance i really concern about the final quality check, before delivering system back to customer can't they even check that screen is not working properly.
I think what i bought was mainly meant for Service Center Employee's Practice rather then Consumer use.
Now I am vary about my lap because very soon its warranty going to be expired and what happen after that. In 3 years of time I felt that I made a mistake by buying HP product, and I know there will no answer from HP for this.

Ping works from outside, but not http. What am I missing?

Hi Barry,
What do you mean "it doesn't work"? What kind of errors are you seeing? Also, you only specified the file name (data.vi) when opening a VI reference. Try specifying the whole path to the VI. Also, you might want to make sure you are able to ping your other computer from the start (to see if this is a LabVIEW issue or a network issue).

How to make Finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"?

Can someone please advice how to make finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"? See the attach - I recently installed Civilization 5 from Steam and now I have a lot of unneeded files (*.log and *.ini) shown in All My Files colder in Finder.
I don't want to see them. Any advise?

Using "All my Files" was very handy before all this rubbish popped up. =(

I use some sofisticated customizing with server-side validation of the form data. I want to redirect to the page of the portlet "show" mode and to the "edit" mode depending on the validation results. How can I do it?

Heay.....this worked for me.
I am able to change the mode programatically from edit to show.
HttpPortletRendererUtil.handleEditAction(portletRenderRequest,"OK");
I removed Apply , OK and Cancel buttons and applied my own Submit and Back button in Personalize mode and then change the mode to show on click of Back button using the above mentioned statement.

How to make a button load a sprite from library??

PLEASE HELP!!
Hey everyone.. iv been looking for help for a few weeks but cant seem to find the awnsers
I am trying to create a newspaper that consists of four pages. Each page i have created and are sitting in the library as sprites. Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. This is the part i am confused with =/ how do i make the buttons on each page load the next page (sprite) from the library??
Basically i want to no how to make a button load a sprite from the library when clicked. Does anyone no the script for this?

A question arises as to whether or not you are posting in the right forum. Sprites are AS3 objects.
If you want to add movieclips to the stage from the library using AS2, then you need to assign them each an Identifier via right clicking them in the library and selecting the Linkage option... from there you slect the option to Export for Actionscript and then assign the Identifier.
You then use the attachMovie() method to make use of that Identifier to dynamically load the library object.

I want to know how to make .html file on server side. Like if i enter the data in text area ( or like we normaly see when we write mail that editor) and we can use html tages in it and when user submit form all the data in that field will be saved on server side as an html formate. How to make a simple C program universal from the command line???

I've developed widgets that use a simple C program. I had no clue how to make it universal. Apple documentation is all about big projects to be developed inside Xcode and so on, but I don't understand even the introductory remarks...
As far as I've read, I have to make a binary for PPC and a binary for i386, and then merge it with lipo. Fine. I get my PPC binary from:
gcc-4.0 prog.c -o prog_ppc -lm -arch ppc -arch ppc64
Now, it seems that I have to use:
gcc-4.0 prog.c -o prog_i386 -lm -arch i386
The latter command didn't work until I added -L/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk/usr/lib/ at the end. With this, it creates a binary file, but with the following message:
/usr/bin/ld: warning fat file: /usr/lib/system/libmathCommon.A.dylib does not contain an architecture that matches the specified -arch flag: i386 (file ignored)
and I guess this is quite an issue if I don't have the common math functions, no?...
Can somebody help me? I googled a lot on this, and found nothing helpful.

1. To synchronise delta download from ECC to CRM, you need to make entries in the transaction code R3AC4 in CRM. You need to mention the object class like BUPA and register the business transaction events for every class.
2. In ECC, maintain table CRMRFCPAR in tcode sm30 so that the RFC in it points to your CRM client.

Hi,
SAP PI is the interface to move file from one system to other system like BI, R/3 etc.,
Create open hub on top of Info cube based on your requirement. Create logical path and assign physical path to logical path using T-code FILE. Provide that logical path in Open hub destination where the file will be placed. Then SAP PI team will pick that file and process that file as per requirement.

How to make mp3s play in separate window from original Safari window

I am trying to drive a musical production from a local html file of the script (text of the play), with links to local mp3 files. Now, Safari brings up a QuickTime window to replace the script window. This makes it hard to follow the script to see when it's time to pause the mp3, etc. How can I configure Safari to play the mp3s in a separate window?

<update on my situation> I learned that Crtl-click brings up a menu to open in new window or new tab. That's much better, but odd that the same Safari Preference settings don't work (single click uses QT plugin).
I tried Firefox 3.5.5, and am getting the same results. I adjusted the treatment of mp3 and x-mp3 to use iTunes, but even after exiting Firefox and restarting, it only opens QT either using QT plugin (click) or separate tab/window (ctrl-click).
Firefox 3.5.4 on Windows works fine: I left-click on the mp3 link, and it brings up a separate WMP window.

How to make a single multi-view clip from different cameras?

Hi,
I recorded one conversation between two people with two different cameras (i.e., a camera per person) and I'd like to create a single video clip where the two clips from the two cameras are positioned side by side, i.e., one clip of the two people talking. I tried creating a Multicam clip but I didn't see an option to export the sequence as a single clip (also there was no option of how to place the clips which suggested that Multicam clip may not be the solution for this).
Is there a way to do that in Final Cut Pro X?
Of course, this would also involve synchronising the two clips based on the audio waveform and then detaching the audio from the non-master clip.
Any advice and recommendations will be highly appreciated.

I've got a table of quarterly data. I'd like to create a table of annual data, where each cell has the sum of the four cells for the four quarters that make up a calendar year.
I can do this by pasting a formula into every 4th cell of a second column, but I'd really like a way that doesn't require so many paste operations. Also, when I try doing the same thing into a column that doesn't leave three blank cells, I don't get the annual totals I want (the totaling just moves down one cell, rather than four).
Two related questions:
Is there anyway to move my data so that the four quarters appear side-by-side in 4 columns? (Then the annualizing would be easy.)
Is there any way to take every 4th element from a column and put it somewhere?

I'm having trouble picturing what you have. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see a single column blocked off in groups of 4 cells. You don't mention them, but you must have additional columns with some sort of identifiers including quarter numbers and items? With this picture in mind let's go to your questions.
