How to make photos 100 KB

I breed dogs and some sites I place ads in require photos to be less than 100KB. My photos come out 120KB or larger. How do I make my photos 100KB ? Thanks. I resized the photo but that didn't change the KB only the pixels.

My favorite way to do this is with Picasa. [removed unofficial link and replaced with Google's official link] which is also free. After doing whatever editing I need to do I export the photo to a new album, and when you click the EXPORT button you're given several choices in what quality & size (in pixels) you want as the largest width or height. For Quality you get the choices of Maximum, automatic, regular & minimum (or something along those lines) PLUS Custom. If you choose custom you get a slider to set from a very low value to a max value of 85%. Because every file is a bit different in it's original file size which changes when edited & or cropped you'll need to try saving at a few different custom settings to learn what fits your needs, but none of that takes more than a few minutes.

  • Help: how to make photo enlargements?

hi there, i'm am currently constucting a website using iweb. i have managed to create a photo page with all the thumbnails i need.
can anyone tell me how to make it so when someone clicks on a particular thumbnail and enlargement or the actual size of the photo opens up in a separate window as you find in regular galleries?
also, is this an effective method, or does it take up a lot more memory when uploading the site, or would it just be better to have larger thumbnails that are more visable?
    any help is appreciated, thanks!

This should be already happening if you are using a photo page template.

  • How to make photo part B&W and part color

Anyone know how to do this with either Photo Shop Elements or CS2?

    Mark:
Yes, it's fairly easy to do. This is for PS but it'll be similar in PSE except the desaturation function is under the Enhance->Adjust Color menu selection (this is in PSE2. Later versions may be different).
1 - select the area you want to remain in color either with the magic wand, lasso or other means.
2 - in the Select menu choose Inverse.
3 - go to the Image->Adjustments menu and select the Desaturate option.
If you have several non-contiguous areas you want to remain in color you'll need to have each of them selected before performing the desaturation function. I always duplicate the base layer and do my editing on it because when I screw up I only have to remove that layer and make a duplicate instead of closing the file w/o saving and reopening. Saves me lots of time.

  • How to make images 100% page width?

I've been familiar with the 100% page width feature for a while and have used it quite a bit with no trouble until now. I'm trying make this banner image I have 100% page width (which doesn't appear to be an option), but when I do it still leaves some space on either side of the image when I preview it. The next thing I tried was to just use a bigger version of the image that way it spans wider than the browser, but the problem there is that it enables horizontal scrolling which I do not want at all.
This site has a lot of similar banner/rectangle images to what I'm creating so this is the effect I'm going for. Any suggestions would be great guys

set a text box or rectangle to 100% width and then fill the object with the image. set it to scale to fill.

  • How to make photo auto rotation work?

Ok, I just got an ipod Touch 16GB yesterday and this is my first ever Apple purchase. I saw an iPhone that my friend has and really liked the screen and photo display features. My friend and I are both photographers. So I bought it mostly for its nice display, all other features are secondary to me.
I plugged it in my Dell PC on Windows XP and set it up. Since ipod version 1.1.2 was available and I updated it before I had a chance to use it with 1.1.1. Anyway, after fiddled with it and loaded some images, I was eager to try photo viewing feature. To my disappointment, the photo auto rotation does not seem to work. When I changed the orientation of the ipod, there was no response and no rotation. For some unknown reasons, I could change the orientation for the whole set of images, sometimes 90 degrees or 180 degrees (upside down from original position), but not individual images. I never figured out how I did it. Could someone help me to get this straightened up? Appreciate in advance.

Sounds like you've got some kind of bug in the software or something. The above portion of the quote was really interesting, because i've never heard of it being able to flip the sets of images, only individual ones.

  • How to make photo fragment longer then 10 minutes in iMovie

In iMovie 11 (9.0.9) I am making a video using de green screen option. As a background I'm using a Jpeg picture. It is not possible to let that picture to be there more then 10 minutes, but de video is longer then that (in one take. It's a puppet talkshow made with one small camera). How can I use the picture longer then the maximum of 10 minutes to be there in the background without cuts in de video?
    Thanks

Drag the picture into the project timeline again, alongside the original picture. Or copy then paste the picture into the timeline. Extend (or reduce) the duration of the copy until it's long enough to cover the remaining length of your proposed green screen clip. If necessary, repeat this until you have slightly more than the full duration covered (that is, place as many copies in the timeline as needed). The images will all run seamlessly when played back, with no gaps visible.
Now export the background project, then import the file into an Event in iMovie. It will import as a single clip. Drag the full clip from the Event into a new project in the normal manner. Now you will be able to place the green screen clip onto the full background. You can shorten the background clip if necessary by dragging the end inwards to the desired length.
When exporting the background project, choose Share > Export using QuickTime, then follow these settings in the panel that opens:
For Export, choose Movie to QuickTime Movie
For Options, then Video > Settings - for Compression Type choose Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC)
Leave all default settings as they are and click OK
In the next panel click OK again - this returns you to the Save panel
Give the file a name and location to export (say, Desktop)
    Finally, click Save
The file will be exported to your Save location as a .mov file in the format AIC. This is iMovie's preferred editing format and will be of virtually the same or equal quality as the original project. As explained above, you can now import the .mov file to an iMovie Event for use in your new project.

  • How to make photos normal sized in ios 8 messages?

In ios 7 and below, when you send or receive photos in messages, they show up as a decent size in the messages slot. However, with ios 8, the photos are just an atrociously large size in messages. Is there a way to revert to the normal photo size?

  • Aperture, how to make photos bigger

Im asking for a simple question, but no place in hte help part is explaning me how to adjust the pix size.
Iv been googling this question too, but no link tels me how to do it!
Can it be that dificult in this program??

but no place in hte help part is explaning me how to adjust the pix size.
In Aperture you don't adjust the pix size, that is why you don't find a help text explaining how to do it .
Aperture stores you image files as master image files in the original image quality and size, and if you need an image of a smaller size, you export a version of your image with new dimensions. This is done in the File -> Export dialogue; here you can define and use suitable export presets.
But the master image files will always stay unchanged; so you will always be able to undo any adjustments and recreate the original import.

  • Help! I  need to know how to make photos black and white from color and leave one thing colored.

I am a new user. I have elements 6. I really want to take pic of flower that i shot in front
yard and change it to black and white and then erase the b/w flower to reveal the true
color of the flower underneath. I have had mixed ways advised to me but not successful
any way i try. Help please!

    Hi,
You can use Smart brush.  From tools panel on the left, select Smart brush tool and select Black & White category and select any effect which you wish and start painting over the area to be changed to B/W.To edit your adjustments, you can select Detailed smart brush if you feel more comfortable in using brush than Quick selection tool.

  • How to make an Image in Adobe Muse  100% height ?

100% width, it's ok; but I don't find how to make a 100% height image (wich follows my browser height)?
I work with adobe Muse CC 2014
    thanks !

You can use the image as browser fill and then set the position of image such that it remains to its position. This can be used as a workaround for using image as browser height.
    Thanks,

  • How to make a photo STAY in the assets panel for future use for In browser editing?

How to make a photo STAY in the assets panel for future use for In browser editing?
When I delete a photo from a page, it does not stay in the assets panel. My client uses in browser editing daily. Once a week he changes a photo just for a day, then needs the previous photo to replace it. The original photo is not in the asset panel (or folder) for him to choose.
When you upload a photo, it has an arrow in the asset panel. How do you use this as an asset?

Sure ... right mouse click on  your page and choose 'Exclude Page from Menus' :-)

How to make more albums in photo library?

If you do not have iOS 5, you have to use subfolders in your one photo syncing folder. You can have one level of folders in the syncing folder and each folder is an album.
With iOS 5 you can create albums in the Photo app.
