How to make picture on mainpage blog??

So when i create a new entry it has the default picture that comes with the page. I then delete that picture and write my story put my picture in and even though i have put my new picture in it doesn't show up on the main page. Please check it out at www.mmasucka.ca to see what i mean!!

I do know how to make picture in picture semi transparent if I import a photo instead of a video. However, if I import an video and want that video to be semi transparent at the right top cornor, I can do so with imovie? I know I can make the second video semi transparent if I use cutaway instead of picture in picture. However, I do not want the second video fill the whole screen, just the right cornor of the whole video.

your wording confuses me ... what exactly do you want to accomplish:
a cut-away replaces video, but keeps audio - that has nothing to do with 'transparency' (??)
for sure, you can place and resize a PiP anywhere on the screen (pic#1)
or, do you mean by 'semi-transparent' keying a PiP? (pic#2) A color-key within a PiP is not optional in iMovie; although, I tested it: if your source video contains 'alpha transparency', iMovie support that either.

or, do you want to manually change the compositing mode (pic#3)? That, indeed is not optional in iMovie.
or, did you mean by 'just a part' cropping a PiP/second layer (pic#4)? Again, not optional in iMovie, complex compositing effects are habitat of professional tools such as FCPX.

HOW TO MAKE PICTURE ON SCREEN VERTICAL

The w2207 can be used horzonaly or verticaly. I am setting up 2 screens on one computer, Dell OPTIPLEX GX620, (windows 7 / 64-bit). One horizontaly one vertical. I have 2 issues: First issue: Windows7 does not recognise screen 2 on control panel. Screen 2 duplicates Screen 1. I have a poweredsplitter to divide up the audio/video for additional screens. Screen 1 and Screen 2 are connected to outputs. A thirdoutput is connected to a tv/monitor. All screens have the same picture at the same time. My guess is I would need toconnect Screen 2 by another means so the Windows7 will recognize it?? Maybe use DVI or HDMI don't know, asking? Second issue, I can mechanically rotate the screen from horizontal to vertical, but the text/picture stays horizontal.My View Sonic changes to match the screen position like a cell phone. The HP does not! NOTE:The View Sonic is 15 yrs. old. Need to know how to match text/picture to screen position. DVO33308

How to make picture part of Excel and have siena take that image?

I've got a gallery which is taking information from my excel sheet. It a name and picture column. For each name, I had image URL which directed to my pictures folder. (C:\C:\Users\exampleuser\Pictures\...).
This worked really well. But I recently tried to publish the program and ran it on my windows RT tablet to see how it looks - and the pictures are all missing. I realize this is because on the excel sheet refers to pictures that aren't there on the tablet,
but are there on the PC.
I've tried embedding the images themselves into cells but Siena doesn't take the picture.
Is there any other way this will work? Preferably, I would like the image not to be directed to any online links.

When you were publishing the app, did we ensure that "Download and include images, video and other media from Excel and SharePoint" was checked with the picture column as the path to the image on the file system? Siena should download the resources
specified in the Excel document and package with you app.

How to make picture inside frame leaving bits of the picture out?

I have tried making a new photoshop document with transparency and dimensions that fit the image, but how do I copy the frame+picture into the new document? How to make picture change????

My question is that I have a place where I want to put a picture on my webpage. I know how to do that but what if I want the picture to change to a different picture periodically. I have seen this on some pages where when you come back to the webpage after say 5 minutes, there is a different picture in the same location where the previous picture was. I have about 20 photos that I want to rotate on my webpage and have yet to figure out how to get this to work. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I may have found one to work but it is not quite giving me the output that I need. The code is as follows but it seems to only rotate through 2 of my photos.

How to make pictures appear in different project/albums ?

Hi,
I face an organisational problem using Aperture. I created a "Portraits" Folder where I created several projects for each character I use to shoot. I also have a "Events" folder where I store Projects containing all the pictures related to a particular events.
What to do if I want a picture to appear at the same time into the /Events/Project structure AND in the /Portraits/Character structure ?
The first answer which comes to my mind is "Albums" of course... But sometimes I want my picture to go ONLY in the Portraits folder structure ... See what I mean ?

Actually I am not clear on what you mean "Only" but...
as a matter of fact you can put any image from any project into any album no matter where the album exists simply by dragging an image to that album.

How to make picture attachments that receivers with PC´s are able to detach

When I attach a photograph to a message that is directed to a recipient who uses a windows-based PC, the recipient most often tells me that he/she cannot detach the photograph from the message. It is as if the message were imbedded into the message they receive, rather than appended to it. In attempting to correct for this I have checked "Always send windows-friendly attachments" (a submenu item under "Attachments"in the "Edit" Menu) but that does not seem to help. How can I correct this problem?

Let me also add that with Plain Text it may not be necessary, but I by practice always put attachments last, and I never type between or after them. In Mail 3.0 and later, there is also a setting to always insert attachments at the end of the message, but that sometime impedes the attaching process, at least in the earliest versions of 3.x.
Primarily it is Outlook and Outlook Express users that have problems with attachments and Rich Text, along with the limited few that use Lotus Notes. When sending to those using AOL, it has always been recommended to use only Plain Text, regardless of the email client being used.

How to make pictures not resize when opened in their own window.

I just upgraded to Safari v3 and despite all the good changes I've found one frustrating thing. In the old version when I opened a picture in its own window and it was bigger than what could fit in the window it wouldn't resize. It just came up as a full-resolution image. But with the new version, it does the thing that I hated with internet explorer and resizes it to fit the screen. It's not a big deal but it's enough to bug me.
I've searched the preferences menus and this discussion board, but I still can't find a way to change it back to the old way of not adjusting.
Is it even possible or will I have to get used to it?

How do I upload pictures to my blog from time capsule?

I just started using Time machine, or time capsule (not sure what the difference is). I had to back up my laptop because I only have 185 GB on my computer. I'm a photographer so I take tons of pictures. I started backing up my computer to the time capsule and then had to delete the original files off my computer to make enough space. Currently I have 1 GB of space left on my computer. I need to delete basically all of my photos on the computer so I have more room to even load new pictures onto the computer.
My problem is I need to access these pictures in time capsule so I can load pictures to my blog or website. I know how to look at the pictures in time capsule by going to iphoto and clicking the file thing, but there must be an easy way to upload pictures to the web from time capsule.
Basically if I can't use my pictures to upload them onto my blog/website my business is doomed... Please help me!

Suggest that you consider a few things here:
The Time Capsule (which is hardware) uses Time Machine (which is software) to make backups of the original files on your computer. The reason that you need backups is to have a copies of your important data in two different locations.
The reason for this is that when....not if....a disk drive fails on either your computer or Time Capsule, you at least still have a good copy of important files on the other drive.
If...you move the "original" files on your computer to the Time Capsule drive......all of your images are on the Time Capsule.....and you have no backups. When....not if....the Time Capsule drive fails, you lose everything.
I suggest that you consider the following:
Add an external hard drive that will attach directly to the USB or FireWire port your computer and move your the iPhoto library to that location.
Then, Time Machine will backup both your computer and the external drive, so you have your "originals" on one drive and backups on another.
The bottom line here is that the Time Capsule and Time Machine should be used for backups....not for everyday use. With an external hard drive attached directly to your computer, it will be a simple matter to navigate to the image file using iPhoto and "export" it to the desktop or another folder for uploading.
The Time Capsule is not meant for this type of use.

How do i make picture files on my ipod touch 4th generation, without itunes wanting to keep deleting everything in the original photo library.... I was only able to make on and can't remember how, but when I try to sync when touch is hooked up to itunes

I have had my ipod touch 4th generation for a couple months now.... Nowhere in the manuals or help sections does it tell me how to make individual pucture files(like that already on my computer) put onto my ipod touch.... I managed to make one and I can't remember how I did it but when I have the touch hooked up to itunes and try to pick which picture files from my computer to sync, a box always opens and says that it will delete everything in the original photo library that was in there.....
Can anyone help me there has to be away, I know someone has done it but they don't live here to show me!!!!

where on my computer am I suppose to make the individual picture files and have them to upload on my ipod touch.... I do have a photo library on my computer, but in the photo tab in itunes for the ipod touch and there is nothing checked for syncing, cause when I do check it it always says its going to replace everything i have in my photo library on my ipod touch..... So how am i suppose to have it checked and have it NOT replace pictures on it????
Also I cannot make more photo albums into my ipod touch, it just replaces the one album every time....
I am very frustrated cause I have tried the manuals and the apple support help etc and nothing pertains to my exact issue.....

How to make a round border around my picture?

I am trying to design a logo that would fit into the center of a Frisbie, yet I cannot figure out how to make a round border around the picture. I have tried using the eliptical tool, and have also tried using the cookie cutter. The only option I can get to work with the eliptical tool, is the feather, yet I can't change the pixel number for some reason, so it just makes a thin circle around the picture. I thought I could cut and paste it, but the copy and cut options were grayed out and didn't work. When I used the cookie cutter, it made a nice border, and I pasted the picture into it, but, there are four sections that need to be filled in with the background color and the paintbucket didn't work in those spaces (they are the gray and white checked areas. (the picture ends up looking like a rectangle inside of a circle). So I made a new blank file and filled it in with the color of the picture's background, hoping to use the cookie cutter tool around the picture that was now pasted into the new blank file (I chose another color for the round border) and I used the cookie cutter around the picture, but when it was finished, the whole picture ended up being white. All I want to do is to make a border around a picture (a round border). Nothing I have done has worked though. What am I doing wrong, or what are some other options for trying to do this? Thanks.

Here is a simple way to add a border. Select the item, add a blank layer, choose the border size and color and the Outside option:

Note that you don't even need to do the Stroke on a blank layer. You can Stroke directly on the picture layer. However having the blank layer preserves the picture in case you want to start again with different Stroke options.
