How to make SAP ABAP trial version (with BI) system faster?

Hello,
I have just installed the SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version. (And using it along with SAP BI) My PC Configuration is 2 GB RAM, 10 GB Free HD, 1.6 GHz processor.
But when I run SAP BI, it is very slow. A regular command takes about 20-30 seconds. Is there any way I can speed up the SAP system?
I am ready to upgrade my laptop/Or even buy a new one with nice settings if I am sure that it is going to help me.
Thanks
Dhananjay

Can you please guide me how can I access as when I try to access from 000 client it tells me to use 001 client and when I login to 001 client using SAP* user it tells me that System NSP Client 001 has no logical name Creat , Assign or Cancel, can you please guide what option I have to select and what are the steps after that.

  • Is it possible to use Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP (ABAP) Trial Version?

    Dear All,
i need some help concerning the usage of Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP (ABAP) Trial Version.
I installed SAP Netweaver 7.01 (ABAP Trial Version) and i would like to use the Adobe Interactive Form editor (transaction SFP). Is this trial version prepared for this? Is it possible to edit and test Interactive Forms in the ABAP Trial Version too?
Somebody told me that he installed Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.1 but the layout manager part of the editor shortdumped when he wanted to go back to other  parts of the editor or he wanted to save what he did...
Is it enough to install Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.1? Is there something else to install or configure?
Thank you for your help in advance.
    All the best, P. Phil.

Yes, you need the lifecycle designer installed.  That should be enough to work with the SFP transaction.  But to actually use the form, I think you do need the ADS(Adobe Document Services) which runs on the java stack.

  • Error on starting GUI  710 after installing SAP ABAP Trial Version

I installed the SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version that came with the book and CD.
I set up the server properties as stated in the CD.
    System Connection Parameters:
    Description: NSP local
    Application Server: localhost
    System Number: 00
    System ID: NSP
When I try to logon, it gave me the following errors:
    partner '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' not reached.
    Error Text: WSAECONNREFUSED:Connection refused.
I am connected to internet thru the cable provider and even try do disconnect my firewall but no luck.
Thank you for you time and help.

    Rich,
I follow a link and instructions but still can not make GUI to work. Here what I did:
    1.     Reformat my hard drive, install XP SP1, made a connection thru the cable provider and downloaded all updates and SP2 with all updates.  I have Pentium 4/3.2 GHz with 512k desktop. Do I need to increase a memory to 1G RAM?
    2.     Before installation I unhooked the cable modem from my desktop.  Installed the MS Loopback Adapter and modified Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties to 10.10.0.10  & subnet mask 255.255.255.0.  Inserted the following in ETC HOST folder 127.0.0.1 localhost & 10.10.0.10 Mycomputer name. Do I have to this or during the installation these properties would be populated?
    3.     Installed MAXdb from CD.  No problem.
    4.     Installed GUI from CD. Entered new logon info NSP, 00, localhost, checked ETC SERVICES for 3600/tcp and everything looks good, but I can not logon saying ‘127.0.0.1:sapdpp00 not reached’…. The same problem that I had before.
I am willing to go from step 1 to 4 again if this necessary.    Thank you for your time and effort. Any help appreciated.

  • Connection Error on starting GUI after installing SAP ABAP Trial Version

I bought the new edition of ABAP Object recently.
I tried to install the SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version that came with the book. After installing the WAS and SAP GUI 7.0.
Then, I set up the server properties as stated in the CD.
    System Connection Parameters:
    Description: NSP local
    Application Server: localhost
    System Number: 00
    System ID: NSP
When I try to connect to the server, it gave me the following errors:
    partner '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' not reached.
    Error Text: WSAECONNREFUSED:Connection refused.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Durairaj,
I have installed MS Loopback Adapter, and also point my localhost to the IP:
    10.10.0.10   localhost
But I still not able to connect to NSP local system.
The network connection for the Loopback Adapter is showing No or Limited Connection, is that because of this reason?
    Thanks.

  • Netweaver 7.0 ABAP trial version installation failure

    Hi,
Iam trying to install SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version in my system. I have started the installation process by executing "SapGuiSetup.exe" which installed SAPGUI on my system. Then, when i executed  "maxdbtools/DBM76.exe", the following popup happened which says "-4 database instance not found" and iam unable to continue the installation process.
Any information about this will be helpful.
    Regards
    Aravindh A S

    Hi Aravindh,
as far as I know DBM76.exe is not supposed to install the complete SAP System, not even the database software - it's only the exe to install the DBMGUI for SAPDB.
I'd recommend that you lookup the installation guide for SAP Netweaver 7.0 under:
    [service.sap.com/instguides] --> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) --> Installation -> Master Guide
I know this is a quite long document but if you want to install SAP you need to read this to know about all the requirements and steps that need to be taken,

  • Problems with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version installation

    Hi,
I have installed NW 7.01 ABAP trial version "successfully".
Unfortunately the application server doesn't start.
After some time the Dispatcher process stopps.
In the syslog you can see that 7 workprocesses are started.
they all don't seem to be able to connect to the database and shut down.
    The related syslog messages are:
Database: SQL error -1070 occurred (possible network problems?). Work process is stopped
Database: Database error -10709 at CON
Database: > Connection failed (RTE:Database name is missing)
    SAP-Basis System: Stop Workproc 4, PID     4136
I already re-installed the Trial version, and I also checked that the database is up and running.
    The error persist.
    Can anyone help ?
    Thanks
    Stefan

if he will connect inside the same local area network http://your-local-ip-address:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
if he will access thru internet he needs to type your wan ip address ([http://www.whatismyip.com/|http://www.whatismyip.com/]) but before that you have to adjust your router port forwarding settings, redirect port 8000 to your local ip. You may check your router's configuration documents for more detail information.

  • New User - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Trial Version

Our company as developed software link from our application to the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module.
To simply the discussion, please assume that the link only creates a PM Notification.  Currently this is done via RFC to IQS4_CREATE_NOTIFICATION.
One of our biggest challenges in developing the link for our Oil Refinery customers is the fact that we do not run SAP in our development office.  This makes it very difficult to maintain the link because we need to rely on our customer’s systems to test any changes we make.
In the past, we have made several attempts to purchase a developer license to SAP but could not determine the correct sales avenue.  We ended up talking to sales people who told us that we needed to spend $50,000.
Recently, I have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Trial Version.  I have it running and can log into the SAP GUI and I can make remote function calls to the Airport demo that is installed with it.  This environment appears to have everything that I need to develop our link but I can not figure out how to install the PM module.  I am not sure if this is even possible.
    So here are my questions:
    1) Can the PM module be activated/installed in the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - ABAP Trial Version?
    2) Would this be included if we purchase the SAP NetWeaver, Development Subscription for $2,300/year.

    1. No
    2. yes it has everything

  • Installing SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version for dummies

    Hello sappers...
Sorry if you thought this was a guide for dummies, though it could turn out to be if I get some help - I'm the dummy!
Not wanting to be left out, I too have had a host of issues trying to install this, over several days now... it feels like bashing your head against a brickwall.  After staying up till 4am last night, then wiping my laptop and reinstalling Windows AGAIN to start from scratch this morning, and encountering the cranio-mural interface again, I feel like a crash test dummy!
I am installing on a new installation of Windows Vista Home Basic, I have a gig of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but do I need to install the Loopback adaptor if I'm connected to the internet?  If it's to generate an IP address, surely my computer has one.  Note networking is not my strong point (though I'm an ok programmer - one project manager even gave me 4 out of 10!) - please be kind!  Anyway, I have tried with and without this on my various attempts.
ANYWAY.... the sorry saga goes like this...
I seem to be able to install Max DB OR SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP, but not both at the same time - I may have done once, and it seemed to work once, I even managed to sign on - then it wouldnt work in the morning - but then that was on Windows XP Pro on my wife's laptop which only has 500 meg of RAM.
My last attempt was fairly typical - Max DB is showing up in the program menu, but SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP is not.
However, I seem to have managed to start the NSP server ok, using SAP Management console, thanks to a handy tip on this forum about using your Windows OS password when it prompts for credentials.
When I try to sign on I get 'partner 127.0.0.1:sapdp00 not reached WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused - error number 10061, return code -10, system call connect.
That's one of my better attempts.
Last night having deleted all the installed files from my C drive, uninstalled everything, tinkered with the registry to remove all relevant entries, I managed to run an installation that skipped out installing MaxDB (it was super quick!), yet did install the SAP NW 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP bits in my program menu - imagine my excitement at being able to start and stop the server, yet with no database it produced red windows on my screen saying 'sorry, you screwed up AGAIN' (or words to that effect).  Trying to sign on produced equally disheartening error messages...
Am going to give it another try after taking a break, next time WITH loop back adaptor installed...
Please pardon lack of relevant detail, I didnt note everything I did on every attempt - substituting humour for detail is all that's saving my sanity at this stage...
Anyone that can help me achieve this will be my friend for ever... I'm a contractor bitten by the recession trying to learn some news skills.... the first one being how to install Netweaver at home...!
