How to make Sound Recording ?

I would like to record tel conversations, is this possible with an app ?
The app should work for both iPhone and Android Smart Phone

no one has answered me yet, it must mean they did not understand my question.
anyhow, i have been playing with effects and have found that i could you Mastering - Vocal Touch UP and Convolution Reverb - Dreamscape to get my vocal song to sound a bit nicer.
If you do have some other suggestions, please do share.

Hello everyone, can anyone help me on how to embed a sound recorder in my web page? I'm using Netbeans 6.5.1, Java Persistence technology, and Woodstock Components for the Web Application. I would like to add a recorder which can save audio files in MySQL, retrieve it and listen to it afterwards.

There are examples there for doing everything you're wanting to do.
As for the JRE, no. That's a question for the generic applet forum, I've never once written an applet.
But, start by writing an application that does what you want, and then convert that to be an applet. That's always the best approach... and you should also check to make sure there's not a set of media components for recording that's designed for use in applets (I know there are special applet media players, I'm just not sure about recorders...again, that's an applet forum question).
Read the examples, consult the applet forum...if you end up with any specific JavaSound questions, I'll be more than happy to answer those. I just flat-out don't know much (anything) about applets.

How can i make sound play in loop? Is there any property in class SoundChannel responsible for this or i have to write my own function?

Using the sound Object there is a property you can pass in which asks for number of Loops
Play(startPosition:Number,LOOPS:int,SoundTransform)
or you can create your own method that listens to SoundComplete and then trigger play again. which in my opinion is the best to do because when you play a sound with a loop, and choose to have is begin at a position other than 0 then the loop will play starting from where you set the position.

I'm not sure how to do this.
But i'm making an animation movie. i lay sounds(Mp3's etc i downloaded from websiteis) in about 3 different Normal audio tracks.
I add sounds ettects(GB rain, etc) too and also later on i will add a music track.
The problem is that, all these sounds came from different sources. some of them are loud.. some of them are quiet.
How do i prepare my sound project so that when i export somehow all that will be fixed. The last time i made a movie..and watched in in a normal TV.. some sounds were quiet i had to up the volume.. then other sounds would suddenly play and they were too loud.
At that time, i didn't use any compression or anything like that. I just adjusted the volume track sound level lines for the entire single track but also within the track i added KEYS so that i could lower the volume of loud sounds.
The whole thiing sounded good when i heard it in GBand.. but in the TV it just didn't sound good. I had loud sounds and soft sounds.. i had to, as i said, keep adjusting the TV volume.
What effect do i have to add so that 1) there won't be any dangerous changes in sounds( Some too loud, some too quiet) and 2)So that my whole track is in the same level when i play it on a TV.
I heard that using compressionin helps.. I tried a test, go to track edit and select Comporession->Limiter smooth.
That sounded like something that would work. and it did sound nice. But i'm not sure if when i play it on tv.. it iwll sound too low or too loud compared to other TV shows.
In sum, how do i make it so that when i create my movie using a Gband soundtrack composition...and hear it on at TV, that the sound level will be around the same as a regular TV show.. and not have super loudness or something

Before you experiment with compression, just put clips with different volumes on separate tracks in GB and adjust the volume using the volume slider!

So I exported a preview of my animation but the sound isn't high quality. How can I make it better quality? It doesn't sound like when I press Enter in Flash CS5.

Go to the publish preferences and see what bit rate is set for the compression of the audio. Be sure to check both stream and event.

How to make a record as Non Updatable

I want to make the whole record(multi record block) as non updatable. My condition is, I have one status field in the base table block, when I query the form if the "status" field containing value 'Y', the user should not be able to update any item in the record. How to acheive the functionality?

Have you tried using the set_item_instance_property('',update_alowed,..) built_in in the when_new_record_instance trigger on the block level?
You can check there the :block.status field,and set the item instances in that record to non updatable.

Aspell requires dictionaries; Installing just Aspell itself won't do the trick. To see available dictionaries, just use pacman -Ss aspell.

How to make few records editable in oracle ADF form.

I am working on one scenario. here, we are sending few records to user in an ADF task form, using BPEL Human task. Now, the requirement is to put a checkbox in each row and enable that particular row-fields for editing purpose.
please respond if there is a way to put any condition in check box design to enable row-data for editing.

actually to implement check boxes in front of a table you need some sort of transient field that can keep persistence. One way of achieving this is to wrap the BPEL service in a WS proxy client and create a POJO DC from it. This then allows you to add an additional field to implement a solution similar to this in ADF BC

How to make mono recording play both left and right channels

I have an old mono recording that plays only on the left channel. How can I copy it to play on the right so I'll hear it on both channels? I put it on itunes and then tranferred it to Garageband in hope I could finally get it to play on both channels. I've tried everything in Garageband and nothing works. It seems simple to me, just duplicate the one channel to the other. Garageband says if you use the compressor it will play in both channels, but it won't. Any ideas? It's a recording from a band I was in back in 1966. We used state of the art reel to reel but it was mono! All these years I've tried to figure how to fix it. Thanks

I already recorded it from the tape to CD Spin Doctor through the line in and as I said it only comes out on the left channel. So then it's on itunes and I then transfer it to Garageband but it still is only on the left channel.I guess I could do this the old fashion way and get a mono plug to re-record to Spin doctor but in this day and age of sophisticated computer software I thought there may be an easier way. I guess I wasted my money thinking Garage band would help me edit this recording. Oh well, such is life!!!!

How to make a record uneditable

I have a table that contains records that are effective dated. If the record is effective I don't want any field to be modified except for the termination date. I thought I could do this by disabling the elements, but you can change the effective date and that will enable all of the elements again. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this? I would like to do this using apex and not a trigger. My goal is to develop applications that pull data from different databases using web services. I still have a long way to go. I’m also not that familiar with APEX. I’m still trying to learn as I go.

You can't pause a recording, only start and stop it.
You could always get a app like iMovie to stitch them together though.

Could you remind me, does the sound from one speaker only exist only when both 2 channel and 5.1 channel are on the same Timeline? Or, does the situation exist with just 2 channel or just 5.1 channel is on that Timeline and you are listening to it via playback of the Timeline in the Edit Mode Monitor?
