How to make submit form submit xml differently

Hello,
The acrobat built in submit form button which submits xml expects the receiving server to be able to read the XML unlimited. Unfortunately I can't do this with Lotus Domino server 6.5.
I am looking for a way to save the XML data to a file and upload it to a website as if the user had saved and uploaded it themselves, but automated using some javascript on a button. Is this possible? Any examples/help/pushes in the right direction greatly appreciated.

Looks like my problem was just the TARGET=_blank> stuff. I change the code to the following:
DECLARE
l_url VARCHAR2(200);
begin
l_url:=
'/portal/page?_pageid=154,107011&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL';
PORTAL.wwa_app_module.set_target(l_url,'CALL');
exception
WHEN OTHERS then
htp.p(SQLERRM);
end;
That works fine and instead of putting it in place of the INSERT button code I left that alone and put it in the "After form processing" pl/sql code. Now it works pretty well. The only thing left to fix is that it loses all my current Page Parameter values when forwarding the url like that.

  • How to make a form direct to different pages depending on which answers you select?

    I am creating an online application.  Before the user can get access to the application, I want to create a pre-qualification form.  I need to create it to where if they answer a certain form field one way, it will take them to a page that says "Sorry, we are not accepting applications at this time" and if they answer the form field another way, it will take them to the Application Form to fill out.
    How do I set it up to where when they hit submit, it directs them to the appropriate page?
    I have no idea what this is called and what I should search for online to find help on this matter.
    Thanks,

    Hi
    First you need to decide on which scripting language you are going to use and any other requirements you may have.
    Simply put, (and this is very simply put) you would filter the answers using your scripting language using a if/else or switch statement to decide if to redirect, (or not).

  • How to make a form for input in web interface builder

    Hi expert:
        How to make a form for input in web interface builder?I have already used it to do PS planning, but I don't know how to  draw lines and checkboxes . Thanks in advance.
    Allen

    WAD:
    Open the WAD and create a new template. On the left hand navigation you will have several Web Items available. Under 'Standard' you have 'Analysis' item. Pull that into your template to the right. Under the Properties tab you need to pick the query [form/layout] that you have built in Query Designer.
    You will also find other items such as Button group, Checkbox, drop down, list box etc available. Pick and drag into the template whatever it is you require. Lets say you want a button. Under the Properties tab select the 'Command' that you require. You could use standard commands that are available there. You could also define functions and commands that you require.
    Query Designer:
    Open the QD and drag the characteristics and key figures that you require into the rows and columns of the QD. You would need to specify restrictions under the Filter tab of the QD based on the granularity of data that you require. You would need to remember that the key figures need to be made Input Ready [do this by clicking on KF and on the planning tab select "change by user and planning functions"].
    This shouldgive you a start. After you've explored it yourself a bit we can discuss further and I can certainly provide you additional details/material on these areas.

  • Hi can anyone tell me how to make the forms url short to the end user

    Hi,
    Im using oracle forms 11gR2 and everything is working fine, but my question in how to make the forms url short to the end user.
    For example my forms url is  " http://localhost:9001/forms/frmservlet "  now i want to modify this url as   "myweb.gov.ae"
    can anybody suggest me the possibilities to change to default forms url to our own url as mentioned in the above example.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hari

    You would have to either -
    * edit the code pointed to by the new action attribute to
    include the form
    processing and email generation, or
    * edit the form processing script to also include the insert
    record and
    check user name scripting
    The former is probably the better procedure, since I suppose
    you'd want to
    do the check user name before sending the email.
    Unfortunately, this means
    you will have to get your hands into the code, or hire
    someone to do it for
    you.

  • How to make "Submit" features disappear when form is distributed?

    Hi, I am very new at this. I'd like to know how to make the purple header that appears when a form has been distributed go away. This section says "Please fill out the following form. When finished, click Submit Form to return the completed form. Our company has been having problems when people submit these automatically, so we'd like to have them save them as PDFs and submit them as an attachment on an email. We don't want there to be any confusion about this, but I know that the forms have to be distributed so they can fill them out, and this purple header appears after I distribute. What do you suggest?

    You need to be a little more specific as to what is going on with the form. What is the exact issue you are having with the form when it is sent back? If your form is  designer form that is fillable then the header will always be there. It says "Please fill out the following form. If you are a form author, choose DistributeForm in the Forms menu to send it to your recipients."
    If you would like I could take a look at the form to see what you are experiencing. I have been designing forms for a major insurance company for four years and have come across many issues. In ordder to troubleshoot these issues you have to explain exactly what is happening to get at the root cause. It may something as simple as not having the submit button on the form or a little script written that saves the form as a save as.
    Not knowing the exact issue people are not going to be able to give you a fix. It is like taking your car to the mechanic and saying it doesn't work.

  • How to make a form dynamic so that it displays different logos at runtime

    I am working on some assignment wherein I would like to make a form dynamic so that in it's designated image holder it displays different logos/pictures at run time? First of all is there such a possibility?? I am still very new to this forum and also trying to understand the logic/bindings/heirarchy etc. in LCD. Any input would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    LC 7 or 8 does not help load logs at runtime. However you can associate all your logs at design time and control their visibility property based on the events. This may help fulfill the requirements you have to an extent however adding number of images at design time will increase the size of the template.

  • How to save a form in a different file name?

    Hello All,
    I have a form which has 7 pages. I have 3 buttons which are for submitting PDF,XML and print button. I do not want to keep SaveAs button.
    What I need : When the user completes all the required fields and clicks on SubmitAsPDF or SubmitAsXML then it will prompt the user to save the form in a different file name. After the user has saved the form in a different file name then it should submit the form to the required mail ID. How to best accomplish it ?
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

    Hello Niall,
    Thanks for the help. I used a hidden field whose name is "CurrentFileName" then in the docReady event of this hidden field I used the following script.
    this.rawValue = event.target.documentFileName;
    Then in the mouseUp event of the submit button I used the follwing script.
    if(form1.Page1.CurrentFileName.rawValue == event.target.documentFileName)
                             app.alert("Please save this form in a different file name before submitting !");
                             app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");
    But problem is : As the file is saved in a different name the script fires again and again if we click the submit button prompting the user to save the form in a different file name , but the user has already saved it in different file name .How to get rid of it ?
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

  • How to save XDP/Form with XML as a standalone PDF - Running out of time

    Help...I'm in a time crunch.  I have a perfectly working form that takes XML and merges into a wonderful PDF on my machine (1000+ pages).  The problem is I need to distribute the finished PDF with the XML...not to two independent files.
    I have tried every "Save As" and "Export" available and it only saves the PDF template without the data.
    I have tried to "Print" to a PDF writer / pseudo-printer but it chokes and dies after a few hundred pages.
    What am I missing?  How can I take this form and XML and make a final product PDF that I can distribute?
    In case it helps...the form was made in LiveCycle and the XML is generated from PHP.

    Thanks for your ideas.  I'm not using the reader...I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.x.
    This isn't really a LiveCycle question because that has to do with the form design.  This is post-design and during the data merge...something only an end-user would see or have access to.
    The form works great...the data is great.  They are merged on the screen and looks perfect.  However, I can't get the combined output saved anywhere.

    That's a pretty basic form built using an older version of Acrobat (not sure what you are using. This is the Reader forum by the way).
    You can start with this tutorial: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-acrobat-x/getting-started-creating-simple-forms/

    Hi,
    I have a problem.
    How to make an Interactive form Dynamic while saving it in NWDS(NetweaverDeveloperStudio).
    Helpful answer is highly rewarded and Highly Appreciated.

    Hello Sankar,
    Do the following:
    1) In your Adobe Livecycle Designer, Select, Edit > Form Properties, in the Default tab, set u201CPreview Typeu201D to u201CInteractive formu201D
    2)
    Assuming you are using Web Dynpro application, then do the following also:
    Place the following code in the wdDoModifyView method of the View where the form is placed.
              IWDInteractiveForm iForm1 = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("<name of your form here");
              iForm1.setDynamicPDF(true);
    Hope this helps,

  • How to make a form fillable

    how can I make a form fillable?

    A script can be used to reset the form when it is opened (or closed), but this might not be sufficient for your purposes. You can also set the file itself as read-only, preventing the user from saving it in the first place.
    May I ask what's the point of adding form fields to this file? Is it just so that it could be printed?
