  • HOW TO: Make Buttons that appear to Fade up and Down

    How would you do this?
    I looking for a series of buttons appear to fade up on mouse
    over and fade back down on mouse out, on click goto to scene (got
    that working).
    How should I structure this. Tried really hard to make this
    work but getting know where.
    Should I Trigger a movie clip if so what's the code to play a
    movie that's behind the button? (I've got the button with just a
    hit state so it's transparent).
    For info I am a designer and would describe my knowledge as
    pretty good on making non interactive flash.
    But interactive, next to zero action, script next to zero. I
    can make a button goto to scene, frame, use stop but that's it!
    I'm using CS3 but with with Actionscript 1.0 2.0. as 3.0 too
    much for me right now!
    Is this easy or hard?
    I'm going nuts!!!
    Crack this and I'm off and running!

    no problem buddy, you can do this. The easiest method would
    be to use the Tween class, this makes things very simple.
    Here's an example of this type of Tweening, just using the
    alpha property:

  • How to make text start at the top of a page in livecycle 9

    Hi, How can I get the text in a large text field to start at the top left of the field rather than at the center of the field? In addition, may one know how to make text wrap in the form as well?
    Thanks,
    David

    To set the Text alignment properties use "Paragraph" pallet you can make it visible by selecting Window>>Paragraph or Shift+F5
    And to allow text wrapping you need to select "Allow Multiple Lines" checkbox under "Object" pallet and "Field" tab. You can make Object pallet visible by selecting Window>>Object or Shift+F7.
    Good Luck,

  • How to make text columns with adobe muse

    Hi,How to make text columns with adobe muse (like InDesign)?

    Multiple columns can be acheived with CSS - http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_multiple_columns.asp
    div
    -moz-column-count:3; /* Firefox */
    -webkit-column-count:3; /* Safari and Chrome */
    column-count:3;
    I'm surprised that Muse does not support text columns yet, but perhaps the custom CSS can be added in style tags on page properties. Haven't tried it, but don't see why it wouldn't work.

  • Check if a single Text Item in a cell is bold and then grab the string that is bold

    I have written a script that runs through a table and parses out the information I need to create another table with some added information.
    The last piece that I can't seem to figure out is how to check if some text in a cell is bold and then grab said text to put in the new table.
    I will give a small table demo of what I am try to retrieve.
    Table A.
    Column 1
    Description
    123456
    This is a description (This is a note)
    789123
    This is a description (This is note A) (This is note B) (This is more stuff that isn't needed.
    Table B.
    Column 1
    Column 2
    Note
    1
    123456
    (This is a note)
    2
    789123
    (This is note A) (This is note B)
    I can pull all of the other information across that I am trying to get without any issue.
    I can't seem to figure out how to check the formatting of a TextItem to see if it is bold. I have been able to figure out how to check if a cell has bold text in it. using if ((tItems[counterVar].idata & Constants.FTF_WEIGHT) > 0). This ends up not working well because of a few issues. I was wondering if there is any way to check the formatting of a single character?
    I tried something similar to the following:
    prop_Change = tbl_Description_Cell.GetText(Constants.FTI_CharPropsChange);
    txt_String = tbl_Description_Cell.GetText(Constants.FTI_String);
    if (prop_Change.len > 0)
            if((prop_Change[0].idata & Constants.FTF_WEIGHT) > 0)
                    pOffset = prop_Change[0].offset;
                    for (var tbl_tItems = 0; tbl_tItems < txt_String.len; tbl_tItems++)
                            tOffset = txt_String[tbl_tItems].offset
                            if(tOffset == pOffset)
                                    alert(txt_String[tbl_tItems].sdata);
    Thanks,
    Steven

    Depends on your forms-version. If you are using a web-based version, you could have a look at the Java-bean-editor FRITE, it supports such features.

  • How to make text/objects move nonlinear speed on AE CC?

    Hi,
    I was wondering two questions:
    1) how to make "text holders" that has small animation. Here is an example from a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oSWt84VoAg (0:41).
    2) how to move objects with increasing speed and soft slow down. I know how to change speed, but how to make it so that it is only accelerating and slowing down? Same examle can be found from the clip above with the place holders and texts.
    Thank you for your help. If there is same kind of discussion going on please let me know. I could not find it.

    All of what you want to do comes down to the fine art of learning how to magle curves in the graph editor, which is nothing you can learn from just watching totorials. You learn it by doing and collecting experience.

    Friend Recommendations: we’re having trouble communicating with the game center server and are unable to turn on friend recommendations on our iPad. Does anyone know how to fix this?
    we also get this error message when we try to connect the iPad to Facebook from the Candy Crush Saga game..... Failed: Sorry, you  don’t have access to the Kingdom, right now. Please try connecting again later. anyone know how to fix this?

    Welcome to AD!
    I have a regular post for the top 3 or 4 fixes for that 9808 error. Obviously you are going to skip #1, since you've already tried it. Let me know how you get on with the next 2.
    The top 3 fixes to itunes error 9808 seem to be
    1) Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced, make sure that SSL 3.0 is checked and TLS 1.0 is checked. Also under Security make sure that the “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)” is unchecked. Then click ok and fire up iTunes.
    2) The culprit was Norton. The users are set up as Admin and Standard. I have Parental Controls turned on in both Vista as well as Norton. Admin users had no problems connecting to iTunes. Standard users would get the error. I had to go to Norton’s Personal Firewall and add the program “iTunes Helper.exe” and set the option to “Allowed” (”iTunes.exe should already be in the Allowed category.) in order for the standard users to be able to connect.
    3) close iTunes if you have it open right now. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes. Delete or cut the preferences.xml file which contains your iTunes preferences. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes and delete or move the preferences.xml file. For Mac users, there is only one file you must delete or move a to a new location and is located at User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.itunes.plist. Restart iTunes and it will recreate those two (or one) files with the default settings. Feel free to set your preferences back to what they were and then connect to the iTunes store and enjoy!
    And #4, see if you can get into the iTS from a different windows admin account on the same PC.

    I run in an area without wifi and poor cell reception. How do I keep my tunes on the iPhone 6 plus and not in the cloud

    Hi Delecee,
    You can easily do that by downloading the music before you get to that area of weak Wi-Fi and cellular signal by downloading the music directly from the Music app by tapping the cloud button next to songs. The other option is to sync the music with iTunes over USB to have the songs downloaded to your phone. Take a look at the links below to get your music downloaded to your iPhone.
    Download past purchases

    I have requirement, where I need to retrive font size and style of the copied text from html page. Here copied text I mean, the text we select and copy using either windows copy command or using Ctrl+C.
    Please help me to get the solution for this req.
    Thanks in advance,
    Amodnk.

    You can also try this, especially if you've got the Text Inspector and the Color Picker open already.
    Select the text to be colored (note that if the text is already multiple different colors the swatch under Color & Alignment section of the Text Inspector still only shows one out of the several)
    Find the color you want in the Color Picker
    Click and drag from the Color Picker into the swatch under Color & Alignment in the Text Inspector
    That will also change all the selected text to the chosen color.
    Also, regarding web safe colors, that SHOULD come as a part of the Color Picker. With the Color Picker open, select the third icon at the top (If you mouse over it, it should indicate Color Palettes. Click the popup menu button and you should see Web Safe Colors as one of the choices. With this and the Text Inspector open, you can drag and drop your way to identical colors in no time!
    That same drag and drop trick works for text on the slide as well. If you just created a bit of text and you want to apply a color, scroll until you find the color you want, then drag and drop over to the text (it will highlight in blue showing you what you're about to color).

    How do i make this clear its and image, i want to make the lines really clear and smooth

    Quick and dirty:
    Use Gaussian blur to soften the edges, (I used a value of 2).  The use levels, and drag the black and white sliders towards thge center.
    Much better to create from scratch using the rough graphic as a template.  If it is a one off, then just stroke a path for the circular outlines, and use a layer mask for the break in the inner circle.
    For the curved text, the simplest way is to use the type tool, and then the Create warped text tool from the Options bar, but I doubt you'd get a tight enough curve, so you'll need to use Type on a path.  The easiest way to do that in this case would be to drag out a circular selection with the Marquee tool using the Shift and Alt/Opt keys, and then use the Make work path from selection icon at the bottom of the Paths panel.  Hover the Type cursor over the path and type your text.  If you use Center justified and start at the top, to keep it symetrical, but I just get it close, and fix it with Free Transform.  The rest is straight forward.  I used Areil bold for curved text, and Times New Roman bold for the center text. Use a custom shape for the Tick.  If the tick is not quite to your liking, use the Direct selection tool (a) to drag the points to a better shape.
    If you want to use this in a layout program like InDesign, save the layered document as an EPS file, which will be (mostly) vectored and scaleable in InDesign.  You'd need to use Shape layers for the two circles to make it fully vectored.
