How to make the parent window inactive when a child window is opened

hi everybody, i am chaitanya. i am working on a window based application. there are some action events in it. when an event occurs then a child frame is opened prompting the user to confirm for yes or no.
the problem i got is, when the child window is opened the parent window is also active. I dont want this to happen. please help me to fix this problem.

Use a modal JDialog, or better still given the apps. requirement for input, a JOptionPane. The JOptionPane.showInputDialog() or JOptionPane.showConfirmDialog() methods seem well suited to the task.

How to reference the Parent view Object attribute in Child View object

Hi , I have the requirememt to generate Tree like struture to display Salary from joining date to retirement date in yearly form.I have writtent two Pl/SQL function to return parent node and child nodes(based on selected year).
1.First function --> Input paramter (employee id, retirement date , joining date) --> return parent node row with start_date and end_date
2. 2nd function --> input paarmter(employee id, startDate, end_date) --> return child node based on selected parent node i.e. start date and end date
I have created two ADF view object based on two function return
Parent Node --> select * from Table( EUPS.FN_GET_CONTR_SAL_BY_YR(employeeId,retirement Date, dateOf joining)) ;
Child Node --> select * FROM TABLE( EUPS.FN_GET_CONTR_SAL_FOR_YEAR( employeId,startDate, endDate) ) based on selected parent node.
I am giving binding variable as input for 2nd function (child node) . I don't know how to reference the binding variable value in child view from parent view.
Like I have to refernce employeId,startDate, endDate values in 2nd function from parent view object. some thing like parentNode.selectedStart_date parentNode.employeeId.
I know we can achive this writing the code in backing bean.But i want to know how can we refernce parent view object attribute values in child view object using Groovy or otherway?

I have created view link(ContractualSalYearlyByYearViewLink) betweem two view by giving common field empId, stDate , endDate.(below is the view link xml file).
I tried give the binding attribute values using parent object reference like below in com.ContractualSalaryByYearlyView xml file but getting error

How to make the control file consistent when I re-mulitplexing them

Oracle 10g R2 on the AIX 5.3L
My current control files (three) from the default set-up are all located in the same directory (/dbbaan/oradata/<SID>/). If I want to change some of the multiplexing of the control file to different directory to avoid the media failure,
1. I copy one or two control files to different directory.
2. create a new init_sid.ora from spfile
2. edit the init_sid.ora file and change the locations of the control file
3. shutdown/restart the DB using the init_sid.ora.
4. create the spfile from the pfile
5 shutdown/restart the DB with new spfile ( "SQL> startup")
My question is: since there is always time lag between copying and recreating the new init_sid.ora, while the control file(s) are constantly updating, how can Db guarrente the consistency of the DB when I restart the DB (the control file specified in the init_sid.ora may be some time old) ? or does it matter?
I did above and my DB restart without problem.

Another problem concerns me. What happen if one of
multiplexed control file location, which I use a NFS
of another server, goes down and is not available
during the operation ( After I restart up the DB)? I
am sure I will see the error of that control file in
the alert log.If one of the control files not accessible during operation, Oracle will crash. So you better make sure all of your control file location are reliable and accessible.

You're asking for quite a bit and aren't likely to get anyone to hand you a detailed solution. Here's some things to think about.
As far as flicking the tail goes, that's something you'll have to work out as an animation. You could do it as a timeline animation and/or as a coded animation where you adjust the rotation and other properties of the tail.
Getting the object to face left and right ican be a simple matter of changing its xscale property from 1 to -1 depending on which way it normally faces (1).
If you don't have a problem making the squirrel move to the edge, then you should have no problem making the background move either. You just need to continually check the squirrel x property to know when it hits the edge. Personally, I would only move the background and leave the squirrel in the center.

When a Service Request is created, the agent take over this SR and then set the status to Customer Action. I know the CRM 7.03 has the ability to exclude the Cumtomer Action time out form the Response time of SLA. However, I don`t know how to set it up. Could somebody help to give me some information about this?
I noticed that in SLA, there is a Work duration(SRQ_WORK_DUR) and a Total Duration(SRQ_TOT_DUR), which Duration is used to affect the traffic light of SLA MPT time?

Hi,
in fact you can only trace duration of Customer Action status lifetime - this you can do by
SPRO -> ... -> Define Settings for Durations.
and SPRO -> ... -> Date Management to create this new duration and add to SR dates profile.
So then in Dates tab of Service Request you will have new duration called eg. Customer Action.
If you would like to additionally exclude it from Due Date, so you should then add this status lifetime to Due Date - then Due Date would be pushed to the future (eg. Customer Action status took 3 hours, so after changing status to other one you can write down this time to duration, and then add to Due Date).
For that you need to have a development - eg. using CRM BT Events, or in WebUI layer.

Yes it will come as Inactive mode.....If you make the 2 condition Class is same in single Pricing procedure ,In Standard system will display like this only..
For Example:PR00-Condition class is Price
EX00-Condition class is Price
Then first Condition type will become Inactive.. change the Class of the Second Condition Type.

Try to use below in the PBO module status_0100 OUTPUT.
DATA t_fcode TYPE TABLE OF sy-ucomm.
refresh t_fcode[].
APPEND 'Function code name of the button' TO t_fcode.
Check the condition here for which you want to make field visible.
DELETE FCODE of the button from T_FCODE table
ENDIF.
SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS_0100' EXCLUDING t_fcode.

As John said, there is no mechanism to receive notification of import. The likely recourse is continuous polling (unless you get very creative..).
You can try optimizing. e.g.: every second (or less), see if the count has changed, if it's gone up, something's been imported, if not then probably not (check anyway once in a while..).

Yeah: Lightroom won't save custom metadata in xmp, nor read it if it's there, so you are pretty much on your own - you can save in a file, but if you save as non-standard sidecar Lr won't attend to it like it will jpg or xmp sidecar. For that reason it's often better to save in a separate dedicated location. You can save in image file itself, e.g. using exiftool if raw file, but that would make me nervous, and of course you'd have to have the logic to read it somewhere too..
