How to make things other than text hyperlinks

I was looking to make a group of pictures link to some bookmarks but have so far failed. While making a simple box then filling the background with an image, then filling the box with space characters and then selecting the spaces to link to a bookmark, works in iBook Author,
it does not do so when I preview, or export to iTunes.
I'm using an iPad 3/new ipad. Any help in creating images that act as hyperlinks would be grand!
Also while some links work in landscape somehow the link gets messed up and no longer works in portrait orientation.
I miss the days where you could run over to your apple store and have your questions answered, I thought maybe a genius would help, but alas this a new age and they don't know s**t
In short, is the only way to link to bookmarks through simple text?

As for portrait....layout in landscape, edit in portrait. Duplicate where needed to make portrait work as required.

John, I have been experiementing with a workaround with mixed results.
Try creating your object and get it just the way you want it with text, color, etc. Then create a TEXT box. Put spaces in it and returns to get the box to the same size as your object. Then select all the spacing and use your LINK INSPECTOR to enable it as a hyperlink and link it to a BOOKMARK that you create elsewhere in your iBook (BOOKMARKS are only linked to text, so...). Make sure you remove the LINE bounding box on the text box if there's one. Then place that linked text box over the object on a top layer, select both, and GROUP them (or not) from the ARRANGE menu.
Don't know if it will always work or not once it gets to the iPad but worth a shot.
Summary:
Create Object
Create Text Box with only spaces
Select all spaces in text box and link to pre-made bookmark
Move text box on top of object in forward layer
Test

The only other thing might be to use something like FCK (or

Sorry for late replay i am trying this alos not set that page....

and one more that kff field working is fine for ex display any text pled displayed properly and only problem is not set the value and HrSitKeyFlex6 and HrSitKeyFlex7 fields are perfectly get the values but not pront HrSitKeyFlex8 that only my issue....

Mail does not recognize outgoing server for Forwards or content other than text

Since installing Mountain Lion Mail has been erratic. It generally will not send mail that I Forward nor will it send mail that includes links, graphics photos, etc. It sends original mail consisting of text only without a problem. When I try to Forward mail, or send new mail that includes content over and above text, I get the following result:
None of the options will send the mail. If I “Try With Selected Server”, I go into an endless loop – click on it, get the same Cannot Send… window back. “Try Later” merely puts the message into my Outbox where it sits – and sits. It will sit there for days if I let it. If I sooner or later try to send it, I get the above Cannot Send… window again. If I “Edit the Message”it still will not send. The Connection Doctor tells me that the mail account is logged in and connected without a problem. If I “Edit SMTP Server List” I get Mail Preferences – the edit SMTP list window – and no SMTP servers listed – blank list. Yet the Mail account has the proper iCloud SMTP server in its set-up. Moreover, text only emails send without a hitch. I can readily send them before, during and after the “Cannot Send…” window pops up for an email that has other than text included in its content.
Interestingly, if I put the problem email into my Draft mailbox and then go online and log-in to my iCloud account, I can then open the email in iCloud online and send it – and it sends without a pause or quibble. Why won’t it send through Mail on my computer???
NONE of this happened in Lion.

Reading mime types other than text

Is there a way to parse out text from mime types (other than text). I am using the following code for getting content of emails but it gives a "class not found exception" when the email content is something other than pure ascii text or if the email has attachments.

Also can anyone provide any direction on how to seperate out the mail body from attachments.

other methods:
• luma-key: object is in front of a plain black (or white) background ...
• alpha-key: 'object' is a computer-generated image, rendered with an alpha-key
• rotoscoping: you mask the the object by hand from the unwanted parts.
...and 'fly' is just key-framing the scenery so it looks like the object is hovering over all .........

For example, you might find that the brick wall is not the only problem. There may be other devices pumping out enough wireless interference to be making things even worse.
I agree with Bob Timmons that Ethernet is best and most reliable. And that powerline (which I use) is easier and potentially faster than wireless...but only if your power lines do not have electrical devices plugged in which produce electrical noise on the line. Powerline will be slower than Gigabit Ethernet.
Ethernet cable is the only way to ensure that the signal goes directly there in a shielded way for a clear fast signal. Wireless and powerline are much slower because of all the other things the signal has to fight past to get to the other device.

You can select a folder of images or a batch and create an album. You can then drag the photos around and they remain fixed in your chosen order within the album.
Also if you switch from thumbnail view (click the display button near top right in Organizer) to Folder Location view and select an individual folder from the left hand pane, the files will usually be displayed in file name order.

How to Make a line of text smile?

Is it possible to type on a path in Motion, so I can then animate the path and make a line of text look like it is smiling? Or any advice as how I can go about this?

I have not watched the tutorial, but was going to post that I used a 3 point bezier open line shape that I keyframed into a smile, used that as the shape in a "Geometry" layout and it worked fine...
It was a bit slow to render, but not too bad. Sorry I didn't keep it to post online...

hello, ok i am editing this to make it easier i hope. question why cant i make font bigger than 1296pt. in cs4. my template is 24"x150" for some vinyl i want to cut. cs4 wont let me transform type that big...so how can i accomplish that. i created what i needed in photoshop and reopened in cs4 that worked but now i cant get it to create outlines. what am i doing wrong or not doing at all??? thanks for all the help in advance -nick

You could set your type in Illustrator, convert it to outlines and scale it.
If you want to keep it editable as long as possible, apply a transform effect and scale it that way

How to make clipping mask with text and vector pattern?

Hey there guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. Im making a logo for a client and am having a nightmare of a time trying to properly use the clipping masks in illustrator CS5. I copied and pasted the logo I made behind itself with a different color just for a drop shadow-like effect. And now I'm trying to apply this diagonal line pattern I created over top the "shadow" I made to give it some texture.
Here's an example of what I'm going for, only imagine the line pattern on the text instead of banner

As I (mis)understand it, you can either keep the Type live (or outline it) and:
1) Create one copy of the pattern for each Type object (this will give you the opportunity of having different(ly coloured) patterns;
2) For each Type object, select the type object and one of the patterns and Object>Clipping Path>Make;
or you can:
1) Select both Type objects and Type>Create Outlines, then Object>Compound Path>Make;
2) Select the compound object and the pattern and Object>Clipping Path>Make.

Automator: how to make an app that accepts hyperlinks dropped on it?

I tried using the 'get specified url' action but it doesn't make the app capable of accepting hyperlinks dropped on it. what i am trying to do is...
1. drop hyperlinks from a certain webpage onto the app.
2. make the app scan that hyperlinks webpage for urls in it.
3. filter urls i want
4. download those urls.
when i use the workflow it works fine. but automator freezes all the while it downloads it and i can't run more such download in parallel. so i want to make and app. when i saved the work flow as an app it wont accept any input. any help?
