How to make "two column & one column" mixed layout?
When writing a review, I want the main article part to be "two column layout" while the topic and abstract to be "one column layout". How could I do that?
THXAnother possible, less elegant solution working in a Word Processing (text based) template, rather than a Page Layout template, is to insert the "Layout Break" function, which drops down from insert. That allows a new "section" to be set up. Each section can be formated for the number of columns you choose. This allows you to switch back and forth without going to a new page.
If you are familiar with MS Word, this function is similar to the "section break" command in Word. -
How to add two columns in OBIEE report?
Hi to All,
Can anyone tell me how to add two columns in OBIEE report and get that result in a new column?
Thanks in Advance,
ThenmozhiAssume you already have two columns SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2, and you want to derive 3rd column say SalesAmt3 which would be the sum of SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2.
For this, as I mentioned above pull SalesAmt1 and SalesAmt2 columns in Report. Now pull another column (say SalesAmt1) and open the fx. Clear the contents of fx. Now locate the columns button in the bottom of the fx. From Here, first select SalesAmt1 and + sign and the select SalesAmt2.
Now in this new column, the fx should look like SalesAmt1 + SalesAmt2.
Let me know if you are looking for something else.

How to make text columns with adobe muse
Hi,How to make text columns with adobe muse (like InDesign)?
Multiple columns can be acheived with CSS - http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_multiple_columns.asp
div
-moz-column-count:3; /* Firefox */
-webkit-column-count:3; /* Safari and Chrome */
column-count:3;
I'm surprised that Muse does not support text columns yet, but perhaps the custom CSS can be added in style tags on page properties. Haven't tried it, but don't see why it wouldn't work. -

How to create two columns in a header?
Can anyone tell me how to create two columns in a header please?
Thanks!!Sandra,
I'm suspicious about your motives. It just doesn't seem logical to me to put so much content into a Header that two columns would be required.
You might consider the alternate header-like approach; use a Text Box set to two-column format and Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.

How to make two portals share the same UME?
Hi all,
Can anybody share some information about how to make two portals share same UME? Is it possible? Thanks.
B.R.Hi Lee,
Its very much possible for 2 portals to make use of one datasource for UME.
Lets assume for a scenario sake we are using an LDAP server as the UME for portals environment...so you would simple need to point for the UME's to the LDAP datasource.
If you have something in particular do post back
Thanks,

How to make a column as command link
hi,
how to make a column as command link.i want to make a table column as a command link so that a popup will come.please let me know.
thanks in advanceJDeveloper 10.1.3 does not have a popup but a dialog framework that opens a dialog in a separate browse window. As Chris pointed out, the developer guide contains a section about how to launch the dialog. To programmatically launch the dialog from a command link use its action listener property
public void commandButton_action2(ActionEvent event) {
// make the clicked row the current
//Get access to the value binding
ValueBinding vb = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createValueBinding("#{bindings.DepartmentsView1Iterator}");
DCIteratorBinding dciter = (DCIteratorBinding) vb.getValue(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
//the command link is a child of af:column, which is a child of af:table
CoreTable ct = (CoreTable)actionEvent.getComponent().getParent().getParent();
//access the row data, to obtain the Row object and the formatted key string
JUCtrlValueBindingRef juctrlref = (JUCtrlValueBindingRef) ct.getRowData();
String rowKey = juctrlref.getRow().getKey().toStringFormat(true);
//set the current row in the binding
dciter.setCurrentRowWithKey(rowKey);
// open dialog
FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
AdfFacesContext adfFacesCtx = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
UIViewRoot viewRoot = new UIViewRoot();
viewRoot.setViewId("/yourDialogPage.jspx");
HashMap properties = new HashMap();
properties.put("width",300);
properties.put("height",200);
adfFacesCtx.launchDialog(viewRoot,properties,(CoreCommandLink)event.getSource(),true,null);
}If the dialog is based on the same VO then the current row is selected. If not then you may want to pass the value ofthe rowKey in a HashMap as the last argument to open dialog

Can I make two column in one slide?
Hello, Everybody, I want to know about can i make two column in one slide. One column is demonstration and second column is to make the assessment that is teaching from one column. I can make one slide is demonstration and second is making assessment. But I don't want to do that for the learners. The learners can learn from the one column and can make assessment in the second column. Is it OK or not. Please give advice. Thanks!!!
Hi GreenLands,
Having both demo and assesment action in one slide is not possible in captivate. The learner should watch the full demo and then be tested through assessment or training.
Thanks

How to make few columns of single record inactive in Table conrol?
Hi all,
Scenario is like this : i have one table control , it is displaying 10 records , in that first four columns are editable. Now my requirement is, whenever record having intial values( suppose one record having initial values among ten) except key field , we need to deactive that particular record , now table control should contain ten records , but nine records are in editable state and one record in non editable state .
How to make few columns of single record inactive in Table conrol?
Thanks in advance.hi there...
select the column that u want to convert to non editable mode in the screen layout. then double click on it. go to the attributes tab and uncheck the input chk box. the check box will become disabled for input. u can do this for any number of columns.
if u want to do it dyanamically, loop at screen. check for the screen element's name. when itmatches the column u want to disable, simply set the input value as 0.
dont forget to modify sscreen after setting the attribute values.
i hope this helps.
do reward if helpful. -

How can I make two columns in DropDownList
like this
I remember that the solution met.
Except alignment spaces in a text string.from the Documentation
Creating multi-column lists
In list controls (ListBox, DropDownList, TreeView), a set of ListItem objects represents the individual
choices in the list. Each choice can be labeled with a localizable string, an image, or both, as specified by
the text and image properties of the ListItem (see “Displaying images” on page 72).
You can define a ListBox to have multiple columns, by specifying the numberOfColumns creation
parameter. By default, the number of columns is 1. If you specify multiple columns, you can also use the
creation parameters to specify whether headers are shown, and the header text for each column.
If you specify more than one column, each ListItem object that you add to the box specifies one selectable
row. The text and image of the ListItem object specifies the label in the first column, and the subitems
property specifies labels that appear in that row for the remaining columns.
The subitems value is an array, whose length is one less than the number of columns. That is, the first
member, ListItem.subitems[0], specifies the label in the second column. Each member specifies one
label, as a JavaScript object with two properties:
{ text : displayString , image : imageFileReference }
For example, the following fragment defines a list box with two columns, and specifies the labels in each
column for the two choices:
// create list box with two titled columns
var list = dlg.add ('ListBox', [0, 0, 150, 75], 'asd',
{numberOfColumns: 2, showHeaders: true,
columnTitles: ['First Name', 'Last Name']});
// add an item for the first row, with the label value for the first column
var item1 = list.add ('item', 'John');
// add the label value for the second column in that row.
item1.subItems[0].text = 'Doe';
// add an item for the second row, with the text for the first column label
var item2 = list.add ('item', 'Jane');
// add the label text and image for the second column in the second row
item2.subItems[0].text = 'Doe';
item2.subItems[0].image = File ("~/Desktop/Step1.png"); -
