How to make Web Dynpro Search work using CAF Entity Service Method

Hallo everybody,
I'm facing a problem regarding CAF Method and I really need some help.
The Method I want use is a "Search by Key" method, which I already testet in Composite Application and it has worked.
But wenn I try to add the CAF Model in Web Dynpro and Apply the template in Component Controller, there was no input value there to be selected but only the return values. How can I make the method work?

This is not a FF problem; it is a problem with making the database search work properly. Example: trying to find the question "How do I install Addons for all users?" <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/745665>, I searched on "all users" with various combinations of "Add-ons" or "Addons" - coming up with many irrelevant hits (apparently not even corresponding to the search terms), but never with the page wanted. In fact, searching on the '''exact''' wording of the question "How do I install Addons for all users?" - with or without quotation marks - does not return the right page!! How is the search supposed to work?

If you don't want to do that, may I do so? [It would be better if you do it, as you clearly know a lot more about the issue (and might be able to answer follow-up questions, of which I have at least one already).]
2) We still need an answer to either:
a) what is wrong with the KB search here or
b) what is wrong with my search procedure?

You need to give more info..
Firstly only works for what.. networking.. backup.. wireless. You need more nouns.. more adjectives... describe what you want and what fails.. then we can figure out why.
Most likely you have bridged it when it should be in router mode..
Most likely you are using Lion or ML which has the airport utility bridge the TC by default.
Change it to working as a router. That might help.
If you press reset button it will default back to router btw.

We have followed the footsteps of these blogs but we can not make it work.
Part I --> Part-I: Print Web Dynpro Java applications using JasperReports
Part II --> Part-II: Print Web Dynpro Java applications using JasperReports
Part III --> Part-III: Print Web Dynpro Java applications using JasperReports
Details system: 7.02 SP3
We believe that the problem is in the library, because it finds them.
1) We created project as a DC external library with *.jars
2) Public part DC external library.
3) Add public part of DC Library into new project DC WebDynpro Java.
4) Development Component -> Build is OK
5) Development Component -> Deploy is OK
6) Test app ERROR.
When we run the application shows the error:

Thanks for the link. We have performed the steps in this blog:
1) Create DC Project "External Library" with name js/jars:
- Add *.jars in folder Libraries.[Screenshot Libraries|http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/8395/jsjars.jpg]
- Add archives (*.jar) to public part with name ExternalLib. Which option to choose?
a- Provides an API for developing/compiling other DCs (Option chosen)
b- Can be packaged into other build results (eg SDAs)
- Development Component -> Build
Step 1 is OK.
2) Create "J2EE Server Component / Library" DC with name js/lib:
- Add Used DC -> public part project ExternalLibrary -> "ExternalLib"
- Specify both build time and run-time dependency here and strong.
- Generated SDA file in <var>gen/default/deploy</var> How do we check that it contains <var>js.jar</var>?
- folder gen/default/plublic/defLib/lib/java then you meet *.jars files again. is OK.
- Development Component -> Deploy.
- Go to Visual Administrator. We found the library js/lib, but has no associated *. jar. It is the problem.[Screenshot Visual Administrator|http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/5537/visualadminlib.jpg]
3) Create "WebDynpro" DC with name pdf_jasper
- Add used DC (defLib) to WebDynpro DC with option "Build time".
- WebDynpro References -> Library references --> add <var>jslib

- Run error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/sf/jasperreports/engine/JRDataSource

Abap 703 trial - can't configure web dynpro to work - reverting back to 702

Hi there
whatever I do I can't get Web dynpro to work in ABAP 703 trial -- WDY compiles etc - but always get IE explorer cannot find page when I try and run the WDY, -- I've activated all the SICF services and done the profile changes (RZ10) but still no good.
I've gone back to Abap 702 version which DOES work (even on W8 X-64)
The main reason for downloading this was to test and play around with Web Dynpro -- I'm past basic ABAP and OO stage !!!
If anybody has got Web dynpro in the 703 trial working PLEASE POST what you did.
Also there doesn't seem to be any software for manipulating the database (or adding volumes) like there was in the 702 release (DBM76.EXE). The documentation says use DB studio -- but WHAT do you do --there's no connect to the SAP DB.
I'm afraid even by SAP's OWN standards of documentation ||(usually if it exists is very obtuse) this trial version must take the record for "Helpful and relevant documentation:".
If you want to experiment with Web dynpro the documentation on how to set it up is fine for the 702 release so I suggest you stick to that until someon has worked it out for 7.03

How to transport web dynpro applications to QA.

Hi All,
I am requred to transport the portal objects from Dev to QA. THe portal has about 3 web dynpro applications. Overall there are only few objects to be transported and JDI is not used.
Now if I make a EPA file and upload it in QA will the web dynpro applications work? If not, what are the steps needed to make it functioning, please advice.

Hi Suresh.
I think the easiest way is to deploy the Web Dynpro application at QA and to create a transport package of the PCD elements.
That way you are in control of what is deployed and what is not deployed.
Another solution might be to check the 'Include all dependent objects', but be careful to select 'None' in the overwrite dropdown box when importing. Or else standard SAP templates will be overwritten.

I also faced the same requirement. U can do one thing like remove the obligatory keyword of that parameter/select-option. U can handle the same using the program in at selection-screen event. See this sample of code,

So whenever u do F8/Enter other than that push button, it will prompt u to enter the country code first then only u can proceed.

I have been using the original Apple charger cable that came with my phone (iPhone 5C) for a good year, but then it broke. So I bought this non-Apple cable because I didn't really wanna spend a lot of money for an original one. I have already charged my phone with third-party cables before, so I thought it would work. The first time I used the non-Apple cord, there were minor difficulties because I had to plug and un-plug it several times before it actually charged. 2 days later, I plugged an original cable (which was my sister's) to charge my iPhone. Obviously, it worked. But later on, when I went to charge my iPhone with the non-Apple cable, a message popped up (This accessory may not be supported). I dismissed it, thinking it would still charge. No such luck. I tried to unplug and plug it, but still, it won't charge. Now, I have to charge through my laptop. Can anyone tell me how to make third-party cables work? I don't really wanna bring my laptop everytime I charge. I'm planning to only use this cable until I get my hands on an original one. Please help.

Are you seeing the EE (or T-Mobile) network name and network bars in the top right hand corner of the screen? Turn off WiFi (Settings>WiFi - turn this off). Is there anything next to the network name in the top right hand corner (3G, E or o)? E is Edge and o = GPRS.
If there's nothing next to the network name, turn off the iPhone and then turn it back on. To do this, press and hold down the button on the top until you see the 'Slide to Power Off' message. Slide and then wait for the iPhone to shut down. To turn it back on again, press and hold the top button again unti lkthe Apple logo shows on the screen.
EE and signal bars top left = Yes
Turned off Wifi and next to the EE is 'o' which you say is GPRS? What does that mean please??

How to make "visa find resource" working with Agilent device

I am trying to use Agilent 82357B GPIB device with LabVIEW for instrument control.
I have checked:
1.       NI-VISA (ver 5.1.1) is the primary visa by checking visa.dll properties under windows\system32 folder
2.       Enable NIVISATulip.dll in NI Max Explorer
3.       Enable the Agilent libraries to work with NI 488.2 in Agilent IO library (ver 16).
I am able to communicate with the instrument in Max Explorer and talk to the instrument in LabVIEW with VISA write for almost all commands.
But I can NOT make one particular visa function (Visa find resource) working with Agilent 82357B GPIB.
With NI USB GPIB device, the same code above can find attached instruments as below, where GPIB1 is the Agilent device and GPIB0 is the NI device.
I have no clue on how to make “visa find resource” working with Agilent device.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash.
