How to manage folders on ipad

Having 5 Ipads for my company, how can we manage multiply different jobs per ipad with sub folders after an attachment is either emailed or physically loaded on them by a computer.

As iPads have no access to the actual file system,  folder managing has no meaning outside of the installed Apps that you can group into category folders.
For email, and other files it would be up to the app used to open such files to manage them.
What exactly are you using to view these "attachments".

How can we manage files in ipad?

If you are used to a Windows computer and now have an iPad, you might be thinking the same thing.  iOS doesn't want you to worry about files on your iPad, so everything is run through the apps themselves.
If you need a bit more control of your files, you might like FileManger Pro, it's 4.99, but it will manage them through Dropbox, iCloud, etc.  Everything is now run throught the cloud usually, which means you might have to pay for Cloud Storage with a Apple device.  Hence cloud storage is popular these days, and also dangerous if you know a little about hacking.
Here are your file management options through another app you download with the App Store,

Now if you do have a Windows, or a Mac Computer, plug it into your USB on your computer and install iTunes Software.  It will lManage your files through the iTunes Software.  First on iTunes go to your iPad button on the top right, then click on your Menu where it Says Apps, and manually control the Files from there.
Dropbox is a helpful for a lot of this and the File Manger Pro will integrate the file management there, so it's worth the 4.99 for that option too, it also integrates with the iCloud and other Cloud option you may have.

  • Mobile Me (Pictures) - How to manage it from iPad ?

    HI everyone,
I've seen there is already many threads about it (so many problems dear devs...), but no one could solve my problem.
This iPad has been bought to replace a PC for professional issues done outsides, so no computer in sight ...
I need to manage the mobile me account, more specifically the pictures, creating folders and supress photos ...
Apple, who probably fall on their head, had block the access for iPad, proposing useless Apps (Not even for iPad) which are just viewers.
So, I buy Atomic browser to make him believe I'm a PC (shame on me), to finally access to Mobile Me (Halleluyah), without being able to click on a folder/picture or even create some (****).
So the question's coming my dear friends :
How can I reach all my hopes and dreams, so manage Mobile Me Pictures from the iPad ...
An other question for the same price, I've add a calendar on mobile me (Birthdays), but my iPad, perfectly syncs with Mobile Me, don't display it on Calendars ...
If there is some Apple moderators, consider I'm spreading a very bad Ads of this products in the professional environment, because this jewel of capability is totally blocked by Apple, so thanks to add at least an access for Mobile Me management from iPad, and let's make a pray for the printing (Direct from Wifi to printer) which is just the most important thing for business issues.
Thank you all by advance, hoping your genius will help the common users

Thank you but unfortunately it's the key, the mail page is fine, but the picture's one is designed for a pointer only I think.
So we need a web browser to emulate a pointer on iPad

  • How do I get my iPad to reflect the folders on my IMAC

How do I get my IPAD to reflect the folders on my IMAC and so when I save something to a folder it gets saved on my IPAD too!

In iTunes with your playlist shown in the correct order, right-click on the playlist name in the side-bar and click Copy to Play Order. Enable the side-bar with CTRL+S if necessary. Sync. Note also that the column you are sorting on should have the small triangle pointing upwards, otherwise the songs will play in the reverse order. You may also find that you need to first remove, and then add back the playlist to the device if syncing doesn't update it properly. See this post for more.

  • How can i move several emails into folders in ipad?

How can i move several emails into folders in ipad?

You can sort by using the search feature. When you are in your mail account you use the search bar at the top to find emails from a particular sender (there are Other options as well in search). Type in that sender's address. When the emails show up in the window on the left side, select all of the emails that you want to move. Tap Edit at the bottom and the Move Folder icon will appear. Tap that icon and select the folder that you want to move the emails into.
To move multiple emails without using the search to sort, go to your inbox and tap Edit. Then select all of the emails that you want to move. After you are done selecting them, tap the Move icon at the bottom on the left side of the account window. When you tap move, you get a choice of folder into which you can place the selected emails.

  • How to manage multiple ipads and iphones on the same computer

Any advice on how to manage multiple iphones (iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 & iPhone 3G) along with an iPad & iPad 2 on the same computer?
    Thank you

The article that AnaMusic references assumes that you sync automatically I believe. Turn off auto sync and select whatever you want to put on each device. As Philly said, it really is a snap. I have never synced automatically and I never selected iTunes to start up when my iDevices are connected. I want the control over all of that.
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically. Check that box and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iPad to your computer, launch iTunes, click on your iPads name on left sidebar under the devices heading and then click on the summary tab in the iTunes window on the right. Select - Sync only checked songs and videos. If you really want to "live dangerously" - uncheck Open iTunes when this iPad is connected. Now you can control what you sync and when iTunes starts up. iTunes will not start up when you connect the iPad and it will not sync anything on its own.
Go into each tab in iTunes, Info, Music, Apps, .... All of them - check what you want to sync in each section. After you have made all of your selections (and you have checked all of the headings - Sync Music, Sync Apps and so on) click on Apply in the lower right corner on iTunes and the sync will take place.
Do this with each iDevice and iTunes will remember what you selected for each device the last time that you synced. You can make changes to this configuration any time that you want for each device and if you do just remember to click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes in order to apply the changes.

It means that nano was used on a third-party software or synced from different computer to sync music. Does that nano show in iTunes? If yes, then restore completely. If not, then you may need to head to Apple Store and see what they can do.

  • How to see old emails in hotmail folders on iPad

Can see my hotmail folders on iPad mail but do not contain previous emails. Any ideas?

Are you accessing the account with the Mail app?
If so and you want all server stored mailboxes available on your iPhone, you must create/access the account as an Exchange account. Instructions for doing so should be available via Microsoft's Hotmail website or try a Google search for it.

  • Show Apple Mail folders in iPad

I would like to know how to set up and show the various folders (Mailboxes) I have in Apple Mail. Th
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Ina

This isn't immediately obvious but if you can work through a few steps there's a solution. I use this all the time to enable my folders to be visible on my computer, on gmail and on my iPhone etc. Effectively we make gmail work a little more like a normal IMAP server.
    1. Open Gmail.com and go to Settings, then Labs.
    2. Find "Advanced IMAP Controls" and Enable it.
    3. Go into Labels (still in Settings) and observe a new setting 'Show in IMAP' beside some labels.
    4. Turn this ON for every label you want to see as a folder and OFF for all the others (eg 'All Mail', 'Spam' and others that you only want access to through webmail)
Now, here you have to be careful because you may want to keep an archive of all mail on gmail, but not necessarily on your iPad or computer. I can explain why we do the next step if you want, but that may not be what you want. This is just how I manage it so that email never gets completely deleted from gmail except if I go through the webmail interface.
    5. Create a new filter that will match every message, such as 'From' contains . (which is in every email address!)
    6. Click 'Next step' and then 'Apply the label' and select a new label, giving it a tiny name, such as | or . so it doesn't take up much space. Also apply to all existing conversations.
    7. Now go into the 'Labels' again and turn OFF 'Show in IMAP' for that label.
Hopefully that should be all you need to do to get the folders to show up in gmail. If you left All Mail in then you'd end up with duplicate copies of every message. Moving a message results in a label being deleted and a new one created. Deleting a message shouldn't delete the message completely if it has another label (such as the automatic one above) but will remove it from that folder.
    I hope this is helpful.

    Hi,
By default, Acrobat DC for iOS displays recently viewed files.  You need to switch to other file location (such as Local, Document Cloud, Creative Cloud) to delete, rename, move, or duplicate files.
You can switch to Local, if you would like to see the files and folders that are locally stored on your iPad.
Would you take a look at the following document to see how you can switch to other file location and delete files?

  • How can I stop my IPad asking me if I want to upgrade email space

My iPad showed a message asking if I wanted to upgrade my email space to 10 mb. I clicked on no (only two choices yes/no) but ever since, every time I go on email, it shows again and takes about ten hits on the 'No' button to get rid of it. Can anyone help me please?

    Hello there, Digsuk.
It sounds like you're running out of storage space in iCloud and  being prompted to add storage on the cloud. The following Knowledge Base article explains how to manage things to free up space again if you don't want to upgrade:
    iCloud: Managing your iCloud storage
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847
Since Mail is what is generating the prompt at this point, the following may be most applicable:
    Mail
You can free up additional iCloud Storage space at any time by deleting email messages from your iCloud email account. You can also move email messages from your iOS device to the local folders on your Mac or PC, where they no longer count against your iCloud Storage. For more information, read how to archive or make copies of your iCloud data (see "Mail & Notes" section).
Follow the steps below to delete messages from your account, and remember that messages with large attachments will free up more space than simple text emails.
    Desktop email applications
    iCloud.com
    Phone, iPad, iPod touch
If your iOS device is configured to access iCloud email, you can delete messages from any mailbox, and then empty the Trash to free up space. Swipe your finger to the left across any message to delete it. In your Trash folder, you can delete messages one at a time, or tap the Edit button, and then Delete All to delete all the messages from your Trash at once.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

    Kmvraines wrote:

Not sure just what you mean by that.  You cannot directly sync two iOS devices to each other.  You can manage as many devices as you have in one installation of iTunes to put the same content on both.  Also, if she has an iPod Touch, and an iCloud account, she can just set up the same iCloud account on both and sync both to iCloud to share content.

  • How do I locate an iPad that never had a fixed apple ID associated with it?

If an iPad was lost or stolen and no fixed apple ID was set up for that device, and the device was reset to factory settings could that iPad still be found and would restting iPad delete the data plan off the device?
I ask this question because recently at my job it appears that the work iPad was lost and or stolen. It never had a fixed apple ID so we couldn't use iCloud to locate it. Managers just recycled through their personal apple ID's. it seems no one got a serial number for it, or the data number it used. My manager says they are tracking it through the data plan, and that she has something called high tech crimes involved in tracking it; but I thought if it was reset the iPad is pretty much lost since they failed to get all the info.
Is there a way to still track the iPad?
Ironically, I told Managment what to do to set the iPad up yet no one listened to me. They have the same issue with their current iPhone 4S. Guess some people will never learn lol

Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

  • How to manage multiple users/devices/Apple IDs on a single computer

I got my 8 year old an iPad mini for Christmas and I'm about to set it up but I need some advice on using multiple IDs on one computer. I have an iPhone 4s. I assume I will need another Apple ID for the iPad mini so she can use Facetime. How do you manage two devices with different IDs on one computer? Will my movies and music be available for the iPad mini ID? What happens when I plug the iPad into my computer? Do my iPhone apps on my account disappear? Do I need to log out of my iTunes store account? Is their a danger in mixing the two accounts? I was told to be careful if you plug another iPhone into your computer because it can wipe your phone and replace it with another users info if you don't log out/in correctly. It's very confusing so if anyone could give me some advice on how to set this up and manage two IDs and devices on one computer it would be helpful. Thanks:)

This should be of some help.
How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer
Your daughter is too young to have an Apple ID because the minimum age is 13 years old. You can use her email address for FaceTime and Messages. You add the address as the contact address when you activate both of those apps. But both apps will still have to be tied to your Apple ID.
I was managing 5 different devices with one iTunes library and all devices had their own unique content on them. It is not that difficult to manage.
there is lots and lots of information out there on how to do this. Check some of these out for more information.
