How to manage muliple iCloud and Find my iPhone setups
My wife and I both have iPhones. I want her to have a separate iCloud account so hers and my contacts, etc., will not get mixed up. However, I want to be able to find her iPhone using Find my iPhone with my device. Will this work if they are not both on the same iClould account? i.e. Can I set her up with her own iCloud account and just log into that with Find my iPhone when I want to find her phone?
Yes by using her iCloud account and password to log in with Apple's free Find My iPhone app for the iPhone or with a browser on your computer.

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but if you create a new iCloud account with a different ID your existing ID isn't effected by this. It will continue to work as it does now, you will just have an additional Apple ID. If you have an earthlink email address you can continue to use it as a separate account, and it can continue to be your default account if you set it to be (in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account). If I'm misunderstanding your question, please explain further.

I lost my iPod Touch 4th generation and I've used iCloud and Find My iPhone
I lost my iPod Touch 4th G and I've tried using iCloud and Find My iPhone. But all it says is "Offline." Sadly it's not connected to the internet . There is also no passcode on the iPod so whoever has it can easily access to my personal information. Is there any other way to locate it without wifi?? (The answer is most likely no, but...... I still wanted to ask.)

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

Hello! My IPAD 4G Wi Fi was stolen in Kiev, 17.05.2011. Is it possible to locate its location if the services iCloud and Find My iPhone have not been configured.

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone. -

I never set up find my iPhone on my iPod touch and it recently got stolen. As far as I'm concerned, location services are on and there's a pass code lock on it. I've changed all my passwords and whatnot. Is there any way I can wipe the thing clean of any data, etc.? I know the apple and icloud ID. Thanks

I have forgot my Iphone passcode. Itunes will not let me restore it, i do not have icloude,or find my iphone,and the closest itunes store is 4 hours away how can i unlock, or reset my phone?
Try this:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

I signed into icloud to find my iphone. icloud tried to upload my calendar, froze my desktop calendar and then erased it when I unchecked the box. I use time machine. Can I restore my desktop calendar and how do I keep everything but my phone locator and mail off? I do not want to sync my desktop with icloud except for mail.

The only way is to login to iCloud with your computer browser and wipe the iPhone.

How can I ignore iCloud and Lion and live to tell it
From what I have read about Lion, I just do not like it. I am more than happy with Snow Leopard, with my calendar on BusyCal and my Mail on my Mac.
But I am getting more and more the impression that I am being pushed toward upgrading to Lion since, within six months or so, syncing preferences, mail and calendars via MobileMe will not be possible anymore.
But I just do not want my docs and pics and whatever in some cloud. I am perfectly happy with them having them here on my iMac and MacBook. (And I most certainly do not want to share anything via Google Docs or Google Calendars!)
So, please tell me: can I just stay with Snow Leopard and still be happy, checking my mail and my calendar in my iPhone?You can migrate to iCloud from MobileMe provided your iOS devices are iOS5. BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion.
There appears to be no method of syncing contacts (though Address Book on a Mac can be synced with Google or Yahoo address books - I don't know how reliable this is). -

If you don't have Find My iPhone on, you can't lock it. You should report it to your carrier and your carrier might blacklist the phone from use. -

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)
