How to manage multiple iPhones on one iPhoto account?

Hi folks. I'm stumped and need some assistance. I have a 2012 MBP and an iPhone 5. I'm running the most current software on both. I typically have no problems with iPhoto. My wife has an iPhone 5, bit no computer. Wanting to save her photos onto my computer, I plugged her phone into my MBP, it opened iPhoto automatically, and I followed the prompts to import the pictures from her phone. After completion, I cannot find her photos anywhere on iphoto or the package contents in finder.
I tried starting the import process over, but when I plugged in her phone a second time, I photo told me that all the pictures from that phone had already been imported. If I tried anyway, it would give me the "duplicate photo already exists. Do you want to import anyway?" Prompt.
I'm frustrated because I have no idea where to even look to find these photos that are supposedly already imported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If it helps any, I was only running one account (mine) in iPhoto, and any import I do with my own phone still works fine. Thanks in advance for your help

When you get the "Duplicate Photos already imported " alert, then the photos are in your iPhoto Library.
Check, if her iPhone has the date set correctly.  If the dates are correct, sort the events by date from the "View" menu: View > Sort events > By Date > Descending

  • Setting Up Multiple iPhones On One iTunes Account

Our business supplies iPhones to our technicians out in the field and I've set each phone up under the same iTunes account.
Can someone please help me out on the below things that I need to be able to manage?
I need to be able to back up each iPhone to the work iTunes account on a regular basis, so that I can restore the data if needed. (Windows pc)Is this just a matter of plugging the phones in and setting up as a new iPhone and giving each one a individual name (tech 1, tech 2 etc)? I know it will mean that they'll loose all data and I'll have to set each one up again.
I would like it if each of the phones can share any apps purchased (music is not used but some productivity apps have and will be purchased)
I need to ensure that none of the phones share any user sensitive data (messages etc)
I had a massive issue with all the phones recently - They were duplicating iMessages accross all the technicians phones.
I've rectified this by disabling iMessages, but is there some way i can allow them to have iMessage without all the phones (which are on the same work iTunes account) duplicating messages or any other user sensitive data?
    Thanks in advance!

Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data.  Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.
Note: The essence of the above was created by user, randers. I have made substantial changes to improve readability and syntax.

  • How do I back up multiple iphones to one itunes account

I'm sure this is possible, I've seen it where there are numerous back ups listed on itunes for different devices, and how you can hover over each to see the IMEI and serial number etc.
All my devices have the same apple ID and I have a PC with windows 8.
I backed up an iphone 5s back in February. Now I want to back up this iphone 6 that I have borrowed from work so I can restore this one on to my own new iphone 6 if that makes sense. But when I connect the borrowed iphone it just asks me do I want to restore it from the 5s back up or as a new device like this:
If I press new phone will it reset everything that is already on the phone I borrowed? Or will it then allow me past this screen so i can set up a separate back up?

Make sure each iPod has a unque name and just connect the iPods to the computer one at a time. Check the apps and other items that you want synced to each iPod.  Also see:

  • How to manage two iphones on one computer

How to manage, sync, use iCloud without data getting mixed up on one computer

    Easy.
There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library. Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes, which is selected under the various tabs for the device's sync preferences with iTunes.

  • How to use multiple devices on one itunes account

I have one itunes account, three iphones and one itouch.  How do we use the same itunes account be not share data, pictures, contacts etc?

Connect the iOS device, select it from the left column under "devices" and just don't check those items in iTunes:
Un-check the appropriate boxes for Contacts, etc. You can set these individual preferences for each iPhone and iPod Touch.

  • TS1474 Syncing multiple iphones from one itunes account

My wife and I each have our own iphones. We use just one itunes account on our main computer at home. We each have our own apple ID's.
My question is this: Whenever we try to sync our phones to itunes, this screen appears
I have NO IDEA whaich of these to choose, because I have no idea, what's on each of these backups!!! Invariably, I end up syncing to something I don't want, and having to totally redo all my apps, contacts etc... My Wife's facebook contacts seem to always wind up on my phone! Help!!
How do you keep backups up to date and organized?

If you want to continue using one computer, you should at least give each iPhone a name.
Settings > General > About > Name: give each iPhone a unique name.

  • Syncing multiple Iphone to one Itunes account

I would like to know up to how many Iphones can we sync with just one Itunes account ?
I need to update 13 to 14 Iphones periodically

You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, upon subsequent syncs.

  • Multiple iphones on one Gmail account?

    Hey all,
    So... The question is thus:
Can you use one gmail address on multiple iphones?

Sure. You can access the same email account with an email client on different computers and with the iPhone's Mail app on different iPhones.

  • How to use two iPhones with one iCloud account

I am really confused at how to set our iPhones up.
My wife and I each have an iPhone 5.
We have one iCloud account because we share our calendar and contacts.
I did get her her own iCloud account to add some calendar events I don't need to sync.
That is working all well and good.
The only problem is Siri.  It says my name to her when she makes a request.  So I went in to Siri and choose her name out of contacts.  Then it starts calling me by her name on my iPhone.
Obvioulsy Siri is linked via iCloud and I am not seeing a setting to change that.
If we could share calendars between two different iCloud accounts all would be well.
Can we.  Can I set my calendar up as something she can subscribe to?

    Hi Friend,
About Siri, it must know who you are. To do that, go to: Settings>>General>>Siri>> My Information. There, you can select your own information, like name, phone number, home address, office address and so on.
About Calendars, you can set what you want to share with her, and what she wants to share with you as well. To do it, you must set it in two different places:
    1o: Set with iCloud: Settings>>iCloud, there you can set if you want to sync with;
2o: Set which kind of calendars you want to sync: Calendars>>Calendars, there if you want to sync Calendars, but you won't sync your Work Calendars, unmark Work. It will private your Work Calendars just with your iPhone device.
3o: General settings of your Calendars: Settings>>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>>Calendars, there you can setthe period of events you want to sync and set your Standard Calendar.
    Hope it will be helpful

  • Multiple iphones using one itunes account

I'm fairly new to the itunes world and was wondering about the ability to sync multiple iphones to a single itunes account. I have the iphone 4s and have it synced with my itunes account...my boyfriend recently left the dark ages and is now using my old iphone 3gs, unfortunately he doesn't have a computer or access to the internet way out in tim-buck-two. We were curious as to whether or not he could use my computer with itunes already downloaded on here...of course he would have his own apple ID. Will he be able to have access to all my playlists and music so he can use my music as well? I sure would appreciate any help anyone can give me!

This is great news as I've been struggling with this issue for some time. Mainly because my wife is a little old school and likes to put music on CD's and this solves that problem. Thanks again!!

  • How to sync multiple iPhones on same iPhoto library

My wife has reached her limit of storahe on her iphone 4s and needs to put her photos somewhere else to free up space. I currently have my iPhone 4s set up to where it will sync photos via photo stream to my iPhoto library. Is there a way to allow her phone to do the same thing so she can delete them on her phone without losing them? I am using a MBP running OSX Lion v 10.8.4. Thanks

Connect her iPhone to the Mac via it's cable and open iPhoto.  iPhoto will indicate how many photos need to be imported and ask to do so.  It will also also ask if you want the photos deleted off the iPhone.  DO NOT agree at this time.
Make sure the photos are safely in the library.  Quit iPhoto and relaunch. iPhoto will recognize the phone and tell you there are no new photos to import. Then tell it to delete

  • How to manage two iPhones with one Apple ID

My company is moving to iPhones and away from BlackBerry so I may soon end up with a second iPhone.  I believe that I can set up the app store account using my current Apple ID so I can download apps that I have already purchased to the new phone.  But do I need to set up separate iCloud accounts?  And if so how do you do that?

    use your existing apple ID.
