How to Manage Photo Stream & Apple TV

Hi! I have apple TV, and I love that I can use pics from Photo stream as a screen saver. I just can't figure out how to make Apple TV draw the pics from the photo stream folder on my computer instead of the photo stream folder on my iphone. Any help is appreciated!

Any idea to get Aperture accepting the photo stream coming from 2 Apple IDs?
IOS 7 supports writing of persons with different AppleIDs to the same  shared photo stream.
And I expect that iPhoto and Aperture will soon support this too.
From the IOS ipad user guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
Share streams of photos and videos with people you choose. Friends you’ve chosen who have an iCloud account—and iOS 6 or later or OS X Mountain Lion or later—can join your stream, view the photos you add, and leave comments. If they have iOS 7, they can add their own photos and videos to the stream. You can also publish your stream to a website for anyone to view.

  • How to manage photo stream from 2 iCloud accounts in Aperture 3

For the time being, my wife and I used to share the same iCloud account,
This was very convenient to share the family's calendar, contacts, and photos!
But from iOS 7, the sharing of Apple ID for the family looks compromised, iMessage and FaceTime are using common IDs on all devices connected with the same account...
I'm now considering creating an account for each of us and could find a solution for calendar, contacts, BUT not for photos!

  • How to manage photo stream?

    Hello,
I have photostream enabled on my 4S with iO 5.1 and also on my MBP with iPhoto'11. I want to manage my photos efficiently but there seems to be too many albums. Let me explain...
On my iPhone there is a 'camera roll' album and a 'photostream' album with similar photos, and on iPhoto there is a 'photostream' album with all the photos on the left hand side sidebar and also in the main photos tab, where there are albums automatically called 'Mar 2012 Photostream' etc.
My main question is this - which album is the permanent one (if any)? As I don't want the photos to disappear after 30 days. Also I don't want to store excess photos on my iPhone after they have been backed onto my MBP iPhoto.
If I delete a photo from iPhone photostream it says "this photo will be deleted from the photostream from all your devices". I noticed that this removes photos from the 'photostream' album on the LHS sidebar in iphoto and the iphone. But not from the 'March 2012 photostream' album in iphoto. So am I right in thinking that this is the permanent album then? Or will it disappear after 30 days, so I should back it up?
This is what I understand - please correct me if I'm mistaken!
    1. New photos in 'camera roll' are automatically linked to photostream on iPhone and iPhoto, dependent on Wifi.
    2. iPhone 'camera roll' and 'photostream' albums are independent with respect to deleting photos.
    3. iPhoto 'photostream' and photostream imports e.g 'Feb 2012 photostream' are independent when deleting photos.
    4. The 'Feb 2012 photostream' albums in iPhoto are permanent back-ups of the photostream photos from iPhone etc.
    5. Photos stay in the photostream for 30 days before being deleted automatically from iPhone and iPhoto photostream.
    6. The above does not affect the iPhoto import albums?
    7. Are photos added to another album on iPhone from photostream subject to the 30 day rule?
I didn't want to risk losing photos after 30 days, hence asking for clarification. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be as thorough and clear as possible.
Thanks for you time and help.

  • How to view photos on apple tv ,photo stream

how to view photos on apple tv in photo stream that are on my i phone and mac ???

Photo stream on the Apple TV should work just fine, providing you have logged into your iCloud account using the photo stream settings on the Apple TV. Could you perhaps provide some information about the problems that you are encountering, so that we might help you better.

  • How to manage photos from multiple accounts

    Hi,
i am trying to solve one problem. I have one iMAC where i have two user profiles connected to different AppleIDs. Next to it there are two iPhones and two iPads. I am trying to find out, how to manage photos from all these devices using one account on iMAC. Second question is if there is any finction in iPhoto that can publish images to NAS server? Second alternative for me is to byu iCloud drive space and use Family sharing for publishing photos. Bellow text schema is attached, it is only my idea and i dont know if this could work like this. Did anyone somehow solved this configuration? Thanks

I can see the screenshot if I double click on it.  However, here is it again.  Being Halloween maybe it'll show.

Stay forever and don't count towards your iCloud storage use.

  • How quickly does photo stream sync for you?

how quickly does photo stream sync for you?

I have seen some posts floating about here complaining that photos don't or at least don't immediately sync to all devices. I think a small number of these people may not realise that syncing requires wifi and not 3G, one must also remember this community is like a doctors surgery, it is where people come if they have aches and pains.

  • Managing Photo Stream & Camera Roll

How do you regularly avoid deleting the same bad photo twice, once in the monthly Photo Stream album in iPhoto and once in the device's Camera Roll?
I like that My Photo Stream automatically copies photos into iPhoto.  Problem is that any clean up that I do in iPhoto, (deleting bad shots) is not reflected in the Camera Roll.  So I remain with a Camera Roll that still has everything.  Next time I go to unavoidably plug my iPhone into iPhoto via USB to grab the videos, I have no easy way of figuring out which un-imported photos in the Camera Roll are there because I alredy deleted them in iPhoto or My Photo Stream mistakedly missed them (something that seems to happen often enough).
How are others managing this?  Is there any way to remove photos from my iPhone/Pad's Camera Roll automatically as soon as they've transfered to iPhoto via My Photo Stream?  Or maybe there"s a better way?  Thanks.

I don't import any photos from the camera roll any more, photo stream ensures I get all of them in iPhoto and I manaage them there from the events that they create. When I want to import video from the camera roll, that's all I import.

  • HT4859 how to manage photos in icloud?

How to view my photos storage in icloud? also, how to delete there photos in icloud?

    Viewing:
If you mean photo stream photos, you have to view them on an iOS device in the my photo stream folder (although only photos from the last 30 days are still in iCloud even though older photos remain on your device), or on a computer syncing with your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.
If you mean camera roll photos stored in your backup, you can't view them.  You can only access them by restoring the entire backup to your device.
    Deleting:
To delte your photo stream photos, delete them from your my photo stream album on your device.
To delete photos stored in your backup, you have to delete the backup from your device (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, tap Delete Backup.

  • How to sync photo stream on ipad

How do I sync my photo stream on ipad

What do you mean sync your Photo Stream?
Photo Stream only works after you enable it on all of your devices. After you turn Photo Stream on, any photos that you take with one of your iDevices will sync to your other iDevices.
If you want to import the Photo Stream Photos to your computer (you don't sync the photos using iTunes) then have a look at this.

Make sure that you go to the very end of the in article to see the section about Photo Stream.

  • I am confused about how to manage photos between my iPhone, iMac and iPad.  How do I avoid using all the storage pace on my various devices?

How do I manage photos between my ipad, iphone and imac without using all the storage on the various devices?

If enabled, iCloud Photo Stream ensures all new photos are sent to all your devices. Then you can simply add the ones you want to each one's Library, and delete any photos you don't want.
One technique is to designate one device as the "master" containing all your photos - probably your iMac, since it is likely to have the greatest available storage - and make sure you have a backup strategy for it. That way, any photos you choose to keep on your iPad and iPhone are redundant copies that can be deleted as you wish, or as required should you need to restore your iOS device. If your iMac breaks and its Library irretrievably lost, the importance of its backup becomes critical. Therefore, consider having more than one backup, and more than one geographical location for them.

  • How to recover photo stream pictures?

My photo stream album disappeared.  I think it happened when I enabled the "iCloud Photo Library (beta)".  I thought it was suppose to upload the photo stream album to iCloud but instead it just deleted it without ever asking me if I wanted them to be deleted.  Does anyone know what happened? Or how to recover them?  They do not show up in "recently deleted album" because I never actually deleted them
Ive tried 3rd party software but no luck.  Since half of the pics in the photo stream album were not in the regular pictures album and not on the hard drive they cannot be found.  When I went to the iCloud website there were only 97 pictures and not the 1000 pics that were originally in the photo stream album.
My phone has never been backed up to iTunes so that is no help
If these pictures are not on my phone or iCloud, where can they be and is it possible to get them back?

  • How to use photo stream on my mac?

I keep trying to sign in to icloud on my mac to use photo streaming.  It is turned on on my new iphone5 but everytime I enter my apple ID it says "YOu can't log in at this time, try again later"  I've tried changing my password, that didn't work.  It has been two days and it still giving me this message.  What else can I do to get photo streaming to work?  I know my Apple ID and password are right, I just used it to log in here.

The login for this site is independent of the iCloud login, go to www.icloud.com and try to login there.
