How to manage photos saved online

I just started using photoshop yesterday and today i get this message that my online storage is full and looks like i should order more storage for photoshop to work again. I dont want to buy more storage yet i want to learn first how this works. How can I erase all thats in storage and still can keep photoshop working. I have been using an external hardrive to back up my work and i want to keep using it and save the online storage for my finished project for others to see. I dont want to store junk photos online. Hope to hear from someone on this . Please
la luchie

First turn off syncing (system tray/notifications area in windows, top of your screen on a mac), then use a web browser to go to photoshop.com and log into your account and delete the stuff there. To manage what's synced in the future, go to the organizer's preferences>backup/synchronization, and then you can turn syncing back on.

  • How to manage photos from multiple accounts

    Hi,
i am trying to solve one problem. I have one iMAC where i have two user profiles connected to different AppleIDs. Next to it there are two iPhones and two iPads. I am trying to find out, how to manage photos from all these devices using one account on iMAC. Second question is if there is any finction in iPhoto that can publish images to NAS server? Second alternative for me is to byu iCloud drive space and use Family sharing for publishing photos. Bellow text schema is attached, it is only my idea and i dont know if this could work like this. Did anyone somehow solved this configuration? Thanks

I can see the screenshot if I double click on it.  However, here is it again.  Being Halloween maybe it'll show.

  • I am confused about how to manage photos between my iPhone, iMac and iPad.  How do I avoid using all the storage pace on my various devices?

How do I manage photos between my ipad, iphone and imac without using all the storage on the various devices?

If enabled, iCloud Photo Stream ensures all new photos are sent to all your devices. Then you can simply add the ones you want to each one's Library, and delete any photos you don't want.
One technique is to designate one device as the "master" containing all your photos - probably your iMac, since it is likely to have the greatest available storage - and make sure you have a backup strategy for it. That way, any photos you choose to keep on your iPad and iPhone are redundant copies that can be deleted as you wish, or as required should you need to restore your iOS device. If your iMac breaks and its Library irretrievably lost, the importance of its backup becomes critical. Therefore, consider having more than one backup, and more than one geographical location for them.

  • How to manage photos?

Saved pictures from a website and they appear in camera roll as they should.  I open the photos app and open the camera roll to view the thumbnails.  I click on edit and select a photo.  Then I push the Add to button and my only option is to add this photo to a new album.  However I would like to add the photo to an existing album and cannot.  Can anyone advise me on how to accomplish that without engaging another computer?

If you want more control over your photos, use Photo Manager Pro.

  • How to manage photo albums in iPad?

Well II6 is here and looks like you can create albums on iPad now. Great. However, also discovered that once you add photos to them, those albums dont sync back to your mac (itunes) or iphoto.
I use iphoto, and can sync albums down to my ipad (this is nothing new). But i cannot add photos from my ipad (or taken on my iphone) to an album downloaded from iphoto. However, you can add photos to an album created on the ipad.
Am I missing something? This seems to make no sense. If i spend all my time organizing in iphoto why would i not want those same albums i organize in ipad saved to iphoto? Ipad organization won't scale to manage all of my photos, and that is only ONE device.
Is this an oversight by Apple, or am i missing some key use case that i need to embrace? Would really appreciate input on this one.
    thank you,

  • HT4859 how to manage photos in icloud?

How to view my photos storage in icloud? also, how to delete there photos in icloud?

    Viewing:
If you mean photo stream photos, you have to view them on an iOS device in the my photo stream folder (although only photos from the last 30 days are still in iCloud even though older photos remain on your device), or on a computer syncing with your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.
If you mean camera roll photos stored in your backup, you can't view them.  You can only access them by restoring the entire backup to your device.
    Deleting:
To delte your photo stream photos, delete them from your my photo stream album on your device.
To delete photos stored in your backup, you have to delete the backup from your device (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, tap Delete Backup.

  • How to manage photos on an extended trip with iPad & iPhoto?

I will be traveling with a camera and ipad and plan to takehundreds of photos and videos clips.
As I go I'd like to cull, edit, and organize the photos into albums.  While the iPad should be great for this purpose (the display is fantastic and showing the photos immediately is great) there are several roadblocks that Ive encountered.  Does anyone know how to either solve these problems? Or you can recommend a way around them?
1)iPhoto can't create albums. Photo can but the sorting isn't preserved when viewed in iPhoto.  Likewise the editing possible in iPhoto is lost when the album is viewed in Photo.  So it seems you can have your photos edited or sorted but not both.  Apparently iPhoto and Photo don't communicate too well.
2)There doesn't seem to be anyway to export the album you've created from the iPad to your home mac and its iPhoto app.  The individual photos can be transfered but not the album.
So, if I take 1000 photos I can screen and cull them on the iPad with either iPhoto or photo and the surviving photos will sync to my mac when I return. :-)
However all the work done in creating albums for viewing as I go on the iPad will be lost. :-(
Can anyone see a way around these problems?
Anyone have tricks for managing a lot of photos and video while on the road with an iPad?

    Same question.
I'm currently using the iPad pretty much just for backup: have the photos still on the SD cards, but also now on the iPad.
Sending a few photos to family once in a while is nice but not important.
I'm not going to do any editing, because iPhoto for iPad will just send the edited version to my iMac, unless I mess around with duplicates. No thanks.
What I really want to do but apparently can't: organizing. Add keywords, give star ratings, do batch file renaming with the date, give the photos titles because NOW I remember the name of that monument or church or whatever, because I was just there a few hours ago, but I won't have a clue when I get home.
Are there other apps out there good for adding metadata that iPhoto on my iMac will then read? Because that's the main thing I want on the iPad when travelling, and unless I'm missing something, it's not possible.

  • How to Manage Photo Stream & Apple TV

Hi! I have apple TV, and I love that I can use pics from Photo stream as a screen saver. I just can't figure out how to make Apple TV draw the pics from the photo stream folder on my computer instead of the photo stream folder on my iphone. Any help is appreciated!

Any idea to get Aperture accepting the photo stream coming from 2 Apple IDs?
IOS 7 supports writing of persons with different AppleIDs to the same  shared photo stream.
And I expect that iPhoto and Aperture will soon support this too.
From the IOS ipad user guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
Share streams of photos and videos with people you choose. Friends you’ve chosen who have an iCloud account—and iOS 6 or later or OS X Mountain Lion or later—can join your stream, view the photos you add, and leave comments. If they have iOS 7, they can add their own photos and videos to the stream. You can also publish your stream to a website for anyone to view.

  • How to manage photo albums without duplicating them in photo library ?

    Hi reader,
I have created multiple albums in photo library. And, i am storing pictures in different albums.. But, when i do that, picture also stays in photo library (default place where photos are being store after camera click). so, i end up having duplicate photos: 1) in the album which i have created, 2) in the photo library-where it is store by default after taking picture.
i don't want to have this duplication done. Once i add a particular picture/pictures to the new album, it should automatically be removed from the photo library..
Can anyone help me how can i do that ??

  • How to manage Photos for business

    Hi there
I have this wonderful IPAD thanks to Apple so I had a crucial question as the main use of my IPAD is for business.
I load photos in Iphoto the traditional way, these photos are from my business and required to show clients, the product name is the file name. So many clients that I deal with have the option of picking and ordering from the photo itself.
So a few questions I have....
    1. How do I make it so I can see the file name so when the client picks the product from the photo, I can write the product number / name from the File name itself.
2 On top of this what would be equally beneficial is to chose or mark certain photos that the client chooses. IE - drawing or marking that photo with a your hand/stylus or starring it some how so you can later categorize it to a folder or something which in turn I can do multiple things once I am back at the hotel room like copy and pasting the photos into email to send of to order or writing the names down into the order sheet of the selected photos.
3 - Any other tips and suggestions on with this issue.
    Thank you in advance,
    Jainesh
P.S - Most of the places I go don't have wireless internet connections so copying them to drop box or internet sites is out of the question.

Hi. I'm looking for something similar. I'm an interior designer and I want to create folders of photos for clients that I can show them at meetings. This is the main reason I bought the iPad -- thought I'd save on toner by not having to print everything out! -- and I'm frustrated, to say the least. Ideally, I could organize folders within folders, too. I want to be able to drag and drop photos from the internet, from iPhoto, etc.

  • How to share photo books online

How can we share photo books created in iPhoto so others can buy the same book?

Duplicate your iPhoto library and delete all events, that are not needed for the book from the copied iPhoto library (don't forget to empty the trash). Then copy the second library with only the photos for the book to a USB stick and send your friends or family the stick.
Format the stick to MacOS Extended (Journaled) before you send it.

  • How to manage photo stream?

    Hello,
I have photostream enabled on my 4S with iO 5.1 and also on my MBP with iPhoto'11. I want to manage my photos efficiently but there seems to be too many albums. Let me explain...
On my iPhone there is a 'camera roll' album and a 'photostream' album with similar photos, and on iPhoto there is a 'photostream' album with all the photos on the left hand side sidebar and also in the main photos tab, where there are albums automatically called 'Mar 2012 Photostream' etc.
My main question is this - which album is the permanent one (if any)? As I don't want the photos to disappear after 30 days. Also I don't want to store excess photos on my iPhone after they have been backed onto my MBP iPhoto.
If I delete a photo from iPhone photostream it says "this photo will be deleted from the photostream from all your devices". I noticed that this removes photos from the 'photostream' album on the LHS sidebar in iphoto and the iphone. But not from the 'March 2012 photostream' album in iphoto. So am I right in thinking that this is the permanent album then? Or will it disappear after 30 days, so I should back it up?
This is what I understand - please correct me if I'm mistaken!
    1. New photos in 'camera roll' are automatically linked to photostream on iPhone and iPhoto, dependent on Wifi.
    2. iPhone 'camera roll' and 'photostream' albums are independent with respect to deleting photos.
    3. iPhoto 'photostream' and photostream imports e.g 'Feb 2012 photostream' are independent when deleting photos.
    4. The 'Feb 2012 photostream' albums in iPhoto are permanent back-ups of the photostream photos from iPhone etc.
    5. Photos stay in the photostream for 30 days before being deleted automatically from iPhone and iPhoto photostream.
    6. The above does not affect the iPhoto import albums?
    7. Are photos added to another album on iPhone from photostream subject to the 30 day rule?
I didn't want to risk losing photos after 30 days, hence asking for clarification. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to be as thorough and clear as possible.
Thanks for you time and help.

  • How to manage photo stream from 2 iCloud accounts in Aperture 3

For the time being, my wife and I used to share the same iCloud account,
This was very convenient to share the family's calendar, contacts, and photos!
But from iOS 7, the sharing of Apple ID for the family looks compromised, iMessage and FaceTime are using common IDs on all devices connected with the same account...
I'm now considering creating an account for each of us and could find a solution for calendar, contacts, BUT not for photos!

  • How to manage photos on my iPad OS7.0.4 ?? IT ***** !!

Why is this so difficult ??  Apple has always been about simplicity until now.
I've tried everything to delete my photos from my iPad, the ipad shows itself shows no photos, yet when I connect to iTunes and look in Summary, it says there is 1000 photos??  When I look in iTunes, there are no photos, it's not being synched, i've tried synching an empty folder even and nothing works.  This is the most irritating thing in the world, I don't have this kind of time to mess with this !!  Additionally, it is unbelievable to me that even on the iPad, you can't select all photos with a single selection, you have to go through and delete everything MANUALLY !!!  I don't know if it's an iTunes thing or the OS on the iPad, but I need some good advice with this.
    Thanks !!

    Restore from your latest backup.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
It is always good practice to transfer your photos and videos to your computer to be backed up.
iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If you had Photo Stream enabled you will be able to retrieve photos from the last 30 days.

The digitization of data has introduced a complexity to our interactions with it that we continue to struggle with.  "Picture" and "Photo" now mean different things in different contexts.  In this case (and in general) defining our terms clearly is the first step towards understanding what we are trying to do.  Understanding is the path that allows us to do it.
All pedantic, but please stick with me here  .
You record a set of instantaneous data with a camera.
That data is processed by your camera and saved to a file.
The file format is usually either RAW or JPG.
You transfer those files to your computer, and you import them into the program Aperture (often in one operation).
From each camera-file imported, Aperture creates a record in its database (called, imho unhelpfully, a Library) and an Image that you see in the Aperture Browser and Viewer.
Aperture links the Image and the imported file.
The imported file is called, within Aperture, an Original.
    Every Image has an Original.
The Image is not the Original.  The Image is what you see in Aperture.
The Original is a file that is stored on your computer.
You can make changes to an Image.
    Aperture calls these changes Adjustments.
Adjustments are saved to another file attached to the record in the database.  Let's call this file the Changes File.
Aperture uses these two files attached to the record in the database to create the Image.
Image = Original + Changes File.
The Image is not a file.
Because the Image is not a file, it cannot be shared with other programs.  It exists only inside of Aperture.
In order to share an Image with another program, you must first create a file of the Image.
You do this by exporting Images ("File ▹ Export ▹ Version" is the command in Aperture; should be, imho, "File ▹ Export ▹ Image").
You may ask, "Why all the complexity?  Why doesn't Aperture save Images as files?"  The answer is simple:  Images can require less — and in many cases very very much less — storage space than files of Images.  Rather than save a full-size file for every Image, Aperture saves only instructions on how to make that full-size file.  The gain in storage efficiency is huge.  The trade-off is that although your Images are always available to be made into share-able files, you must create those files when needed (which you do by exporting selected Images).
Here is your question reworded with more precise terms:
    SamanthaR22 might have written:
How do I access Images in my Aperture Library in the Finder?  I would like I be able to select files in the Finder when I am making photo books online without having to create them by exporting Images from Aperture into a new Finder folder. Is there any way to view and download my Images directly from the Finder?
No, there is not.  Images exist only in Aperture, and are not accessible for use in other programs.  You must create, for each Image in your Aperture Library, a new file outside of your Aperture Library in order to use it with another program.
Aperture does allow you to create and save within your Library share-able files of your Images.  These files are called Previews.  You specify the file parameters in Aperture Preferences on the Previews tab.  These files are available to other programs via the OS X Media Browser.  These files are what you get when you drag selected Images out of the Aperture program and drop them on another program or on your desktop (which is part of the Finder).
