How to manage privilege for presentation catalog in OBI 10g

Hi All,
i have presentation catalog say "abc", abc catalog have some privilege.
But by mistake it delete so how can i recover it.
is it possible to recover privilege when deleted.....
please give me suggestion if possible

where is this option in Obi 10g.
what i have do, Setting-> Administrator-> Manage presentation Catelog-> "ABC" catelog then click on permisssion icon, then deleted related permission.
I want recover that permission how to do.

Hi, I work @ all college in AU. We are implementing ipads as a study tool. Initially the ipads will be set up by the college, then distributed to the students to keep.
My question is about how to manage apps for so many devices. For example we have 2 apps that need to be installed for 150 units to begin with. This could get quite messy I would think. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of volumes? Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

requirement: I am unable to find the variable option, when i selects CONTAINS operatior, during creating the prompt.

Hi,
In 10g, a dashboard prompt can only set presentation variables when you use the "is equal to/is in" operator. Also, it is not available in case of MultiSelect prompt.

How To Modify Privileges For APEX Objects Granted To PUBLIC?

I have searched this forum but couldn't any threads relating to this...
We have APEX 3.0.1 installed in some 10g (10.2.0.2) databases that host GIS data. I was informed by a GIS administrator that when using ESRI tool to search for data, the objects that belongs to FLOWS_030000 schema and ones that were granted to PUBLIC are shown. He would like to know if there is a way to hide these objects so they don't show up on the list? There are about 176 objects granted to public from the flows_030000 schema.
Could we establish a different security scheme that could accomplish the same thing? Maybe we need to create a new account and a role. Grant all of the privileges for flows_030000 to public to the new role. Then grant the role to the new account and the flow_files schema?
Our goal here is to make the flows_030000 objects hidden from the ESRI tools and still have APEX working properly.

If you look at the grants, you'll see that there are over 170 objects from the FLOWS_030000 granted to PUBLIC:

If we were go grant these privileges to a role, called APEX_APP_RU, and grant this role to APEX_PUBLIC_USER and any schemas an application is linked to (Workspace to Schema), would that be a workable solution?
The only problem I see right off hand that this might not work is that PUBLIC has synonyms created for the FLOWS_030000 objects. If we revoke the underlying privileges, because of the synonyms, this might not work.

Credit Control Area Is set at 2 places:
- @ Company Code (OBZK)
- @ Sales Area (OVFL)
You need to have different Credit Control Area based on your requirement, align with the sales areas you want differentiate.
To do so, follow IMG in following path or use TCode OVFL.
SPRO - Enterprise Structure - Assignment - Sales & Distribution - Assign Sales Area to Credit control area
Also, make sure in
- Customer Master (XD02) for the desired sales areas you need specify the credit control area in the sales area data.
- And in FD32, maintain different credit limit based on Customer & Credit Control Area.

How to manage shortcuts for different desktops

If you've set up multiple desktops (e.g., via Mission Control), how can you manage shortcuts independently?
It would be nice to have a dedicated desktop for:
Games
Multimedia / Photo / Video
Graphic Design
Programming / Development
Writing
Tutorial Recording
We can start applications in a particular screen, since Snow Leopard, similar to what Linux has been able to do for some time; however, these screens are not really desktops, since we can't dedicate certain shortcuts/icons to only appear on certain screens. At least, that's the problem I'm facing.
If it is possible, to hide/show icons on particular screens I would really like to know. Until then, it seems like Virtual Machines are the best way to do this, despite them eating up the extra resources.

Thanks, Eric. Perhaps I wasn't clear in the above. I realize we can start applications in certain desktops, but that is NOT what I'm after.
What I would like is the icons (i.e., shortcuts, directories, files) that appear on the desktop, to be different for each desktop. Such that if I go to Desktop 2, I can place all my game icons/shortcuts there. Then if I switch to Desktop 3, I might have all my Office programs there, but not my games. Does that make sense?
Eventually I might also want my Dock to have different icons based on what desktop I'm using, but I figure that's even more difficult.

How to manage Photos for business

Hi there
I have this wonderful IPAD thanks to Apple so I had a crucial question as the main use of my IPAD is for business.
I load photos in Iphoto the traditional way, these photos are from my business and required to show clients, the product name is the file name. So many clients that I deal with have the option of picking and ordering from the photo itself.
So a few questions I have....
1. How do I make it so I can see the file name so when the client picks the product from the photo, I can write the product number / name from the File name itself.
2 On top of this what would be equally beneficial is to chose or mark certain photos that the client chooses. IE - drawing or marking that photo with a your hand/stylus or starring it some how so you can later categorize it to a folder or something which in turn I can do multiple things once I am back at the hotel room like copy and pasting the photos into email to send of to order or writing the names down into the order sheet of the selected photos.
3 - Any other tips and suggestions on with this issue.

Hi. I'm looking for something similar. I'm an interior designer and I want to create folders of photos for clients that I can show them at meetings. This is the main reason I bought the iPad -- thought I'd save on toner by not having to print everything out! -- and I'm frustrated, to say the least. Ideally, I could organize folders within folders, too. I want to be able to drag and drop photos from the internet, from iPhoto, etc.

How can Manage Permissions for DB in Shared Services Security Mode

In shared services security mode, after provisioning users for Essbase applications, only can assign database calculation and filter access. How can I grant permissions "Access Databases" like in native mode?

Essbase will be default be in shared services security mode in 11.1.2, the wizard will not migrate security when in this mode.
It is possible to revert it back but if you don't know the process then it is worth looking at alternatives first.
You could use LCM to export the provisioning and then import into your target environment.

How to manage playlist for Zen with Windows 7?

After upgrading to Windows 7 (with WMP2), I noticed that I can no longer make or edit playlists for my 32GB Zen with either WMP2 or the Zen Media Explorer. Anyone know if there is a solution to this, apart from installing another third party media manager?

I have this problem too.
I can see my playlists, but cant modify them or add to them. I have been using winamp to create and modify new ones, but winamp doesnt recognise old .zpm types. Hopefully someone has found a fix for this... or better yet creative could release a windows 7 compatible media explorer.
I would gladly use another 3rd party media manager if it works with playlists properly on my Zen, but have tried many with no success.

How to fetch data for skills catalog to the ESS skills profile

I am adding qualifications using the following path:
SPRO > Personnel Management > Personnel Development > Master Data > Edit Qualifications Catalog
This should reflect in the Portal under Career and Job > Learning Page > Skills Profile. Can you please guide me about the steps to be taken to make this available.
Further to this,
If an employee updates his skills in the portal skills profile, that should update his infotype 24 accordingly. What configuration should be done to make this happen.

Can you have a look at the switch QUALI/ESSST in T77S0 the documentation says:
"Within the ESS service used to edit the skills profile, this entry
enables you to restrict the view of the skills catalog to the skills
group determined here."

Using iTunes 8, how to manage libraries for 2 ipods w/o duplicating files?

Is there any way to load all my music into one library, then manage what is put on each iPod, without having duplicate files that take up more disk space? I am using iTunes 8 for Windows. I have two iPods, an 8GB and a 16GB, so they hold different sets of songs. I tried creating a second Library and copying the songs I want on that iPod, but that creates an additional 8GB of used space on my PC. Plus I want to load ALL my CDs into iTunes and occasionally change out the selections on my iPod...

How to manage ApplicationDomain for loaded SWFs across different domains?

I've been getting this following error -- when I'm loading a subsidiary SWF into a main one. The sub swf contains the overlays. OverlayOne is a subclass of Overlay.
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert OverlayOne@18684f89 to Overlay.
     at HSRawVideoPlayer/setCurrentOverLay()
     at HSRawVideoPlayer/showOverlay()
     at HSRawVideoPlayer/dotRoll()
I googled and found that I should probably be setting the applicationDomain of the loader context of the loaded swf to be that of the loading SWF (as per Senocular's article on the subject) -- although I thought that in cases of conflict this would resolve to the loading SWFs ApplicationDomain, so not necessary.
But I've also read that this won't work across different domains, and that's the situation here -- the client wants the urls of loading and loaded swf's to be fully qualified . Will setting the ApplicationDomain of the loaded SWF to be that of the parent solve the problem above, even if they are in different domains? Can someone show me a short code snippet? Thanks!

DSS has inbuilt functionalities to compare the transactions against the in built rules.If the transactions take place not in accordance with the in-built rules,it is treated as a "violation" and is reporetd.
Virsa is an example of DSS tool.Here you can build rules for access and process ;constantly compare the actuals Vs the rules;report the violations.
In SAP R3 for example,the T/code:pfcg is tailored for access control,while the invoice parking [f-63] is tailored for process control.Using VIRSA,you can address to risks involved both,namely,access and process control.This is an example of how DSS can help in Risk integration.
In these tools,we have an Engine for building the rules-based on this we build the rules.These rules are stored in a table.when a transaction-for which we have built a rule - takes place,the system compares the rules VS actuals.The inconsistencies if any are reported as violations.

Hi Bahar,
As far as I know, you cannot have your code under source contorl of TFS when work on the mobile app that uses "Android studio". You cannot use Android Studio to connect to TFS hence it's unavailable for your requirement.
If your use Ecliplse, you might integrate with Team Explorer Everywhere and connect to your on-premise TFS.
