How to manage push notifications in itunes

since getting ios 7 when i try to play games it gives me message connect to itunes for push notifications i click on ok and it pops right back up and i cant play the game or close it out so i have to shut off the phone to get rid of it how do i manage push notifications in itunes

I'm assuming you already know how to broadcast push notification and that your problem is just with pushing to a specific user. The push notification service in Azure Mobile Services will accept a channel Uri the question is: How do you get the channel Uri
of the client you want to notify.
You do that by storing the channel uri in your User entity. This way, when someone needs to notify a single user, the can query the user from the database (in your example, via the Email) and user the stored channel uri to notify that specific User.

If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network). Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

2. Define: "using words with friends." Are you referring to text messages or a specific 3rd party app? In any case, this is not controlled by iTunes.
Settings > Notification Center > select app you're using (Messages??) > select what type of notifications you do and don't want.

I just found the answer elsewhere on this site, and it works.
SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESTRICTIONS.
Turn them ON, then turn them OFF.
Simple, and it gets rid of the "Connect to iTunes" warnings. Apparently the problem has nothing to do with iTunes!

I am completely in the dark about how to manage my iTunes and devices.
I have a desktop with Windows 8 (ugh!!) and I have iTunes for Windows. My wife has a iPod Touch and I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4S. Currently, the only devices associated with my Apple ID are the desktop and the iPad. How do I add the iPod and my iPhone to the devices and how do I put "puchased" iTunes on my wife's iPod when attached to the desktop?

ok so i did a resart on my iphone and i downloaded all my apps, but i opened snapchat and accidently clicked "dont send push notifications". and now i dont end up looking at the snapchats until 2-3 hours later becuase i dont get a notification. so i tried to fix it by going into the notification center options and changing things around, etc. and that didnt work so i deleted the app from my phone and icloud so i deleted all data. but that didnt work since ios keeps all old info. and i also opened up the system files and looked under there but i could find the app. now im out of options becuase i dont want to resart my phone again, but im thinking its the only way of fixing it? does any one have an answer for me?

Push Notifications Pausing iTunes Playback on iOS 4

Prior to upgrading to the newest iOS on my iPhone 3Gs, I would receive push notifications while playing videos and they would appear on the screen, but they wouldn't stop the playback. Lately, after upgrading to iOS 4, I've noticed that any time I receive a push notification, it pauses the playback in whatever I'm watching.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior and does anyone have any ideas for fixing it so that notifications no longer pause playback?

It's good to know that I'm not the only one having the problem too! I was beginning to wonder when no one replied. I've observed over the past few days that the push notifications only seem to pause the video playback. When I'm listening to an audio podcast, it continues to play.
I've also observed that it's happening with many different apps on my iPhone and not with one particular app, which I briefly considered as a possible cause.
Please, if you're having this problem, add your reply to the thread with any information about when it happens, etc. that you've observed.

How to manage 2 iPhones one iTunes account and a shared iPad on iCloud?

My wife and I both have iPhones with separate contact lists but share the same iTunes account. To complicate matters further we also have a shared 'Family iPad'. I have updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 5 and iCloud. I am unsure what will happen when I update her phone to iOS 5 and iCloud? Will it replace one of our contact list with the others or will it merge the lists resulting in lots of duplicates on both our contact lists? To be honest I'm happy to share calendars, photos, music etc.. But don't want to wipe one of our contact lists. Any advice on how I can manage this going forward so we can both use our iPhones but share the iPad?

I updated iOS 5 to my own phone and my iPad. When I updated it on my wife's phone I made sure I selected for it not to sync contacts, calendars etc... With iCloud when asked during install. once it was installed on my wife's phone I then went into settings and turned on the each thing individually that we wanted to share ie it's useful when she adds a calendar date that it appears on all our devices. However, I left off syncing her contacts with iCloud so we retain separate contacts. Problem is that with you iMessage with people from the iPad it goes to both her phone and mine? Think it may be time for a genius appointment.

How to manage more than one iTunes library?

I want to transfer some media from my lap to an ext drive to create more space. I want one iTunes library on the ext drive for some media and keep the main library on my laptop. I created a new iTunes library on my external drive and added one artist's folder from the Music Folder to it. Now when I eject the external drive I am unable to open the iTunes on my laptop because the "folder containing the iTunes library cannot be found". What do I do to open my home iTunes back on my laptop? Is managing two iTunes libraries the best way to keep your media on the external drive? If so, what do I do?

In this case, you might need to create a manager structure based on Roles and create a role for each identified manager and put in it those users whom they manage. OIM only allows for a single manager per user on the user form. There is no default functioanlity to allow for this type of manager structure though, so if you see any checkboxes that limit based on manager, it will not work for this. Also any email notifications that are configured to go to the manager will also not work. You would have to use the APIs to see what role the current user is a member of, and then maybe you can add a custom field to your roles to limit what is returned like "Is Manager Role" and if true, return only those.
Just a few ideas to get you headed in the right direction.

What I am trying to achieved?
Using the proper procedures as described in "iTunes for Mac: Moving your iTunes Media folder" - I have succesfully moved my iTunes library to an external hard disk. So, I can play from this HDD when it is connected. That's good. I have trashed this library from the internal disk.
I want to keep a smaller iTunes library in my laptop - so I can play music without having the HDD connected. I do not need to keep this library in sync with the external main HDD - but, it is fine if it is.
So, I created a new iTunes in my laptop and named it "iTunes Laptop". I will "option" launch iTunes and select this library. In the "advanced" preference pane - both these "Keep iTunes Media folder organised" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" are ticked.
Now, when I copy music from CD to this "iTunes Laptop" - it will copy to this folder "iTunes Laptop>Music" AND to the 'iTunes Media" on the HDD.
But, I can play the copied music on the "iTunes Laptop" ONLY when the HDD is connected - but, the music files arte in BOTH the "iTunes Laptop>Music" AND "iTunes Media" on the HDD!
Does anyone understand what I have done correctly to achieve my objectives stated above? Or, what is your ways to doing something similar?

There is not yet a simple, lossless way to merge libraries. It would be better to merge all iPhoto Libraries into one before migrating them to Photos.
You have two options:
Merge the iPhoto Librariess with Aperture, if you have a compatible Aperture version. See: Aperture 3.3: How to use Aperture to merge iPhoto libraries
Merge the iPhoto Libraries with iPhoto Library Manager before migrating. But you would need the full, paid version: See: http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/Help/merging%20libraries.html
If you want to store the libraries in iCloud Photo Library, you could alternately upload one library after the other by opening it as your main System Photo Library and enabling iCloud Photo Library, This would result in a merged Library in iCloud, but your Faces data would not download again.
And would cause a lot of network traffic and you would need an advanced storage plan for iCloud to store a large library.

The lossy option is to export all photos from the libraries to be added and to import them to iPhoto.

How to manage devices on my itune account?

My itunes account has 1 synced device which is my ipad 2nd gen! I also have a ipod 5th gen which i would like to add to my itunes account. Ive read the instructions how to add a device to your account but ive had no success. For some reason it doesnt show the device in the "manage devices" section on the itunes settings. I have tried syncing the ipod and i have also restored the ipod but this has still not worked.

It is automatic. You need do nothing.
Itunes verifies your account using your credit card details. That does not mean that it will charge it.

I had the same problem and found the following solution from LarryFilm in another thread. The only change that I would make is to specifiy that in Step 1, to logout, you click on your Apple ID, then choose Sign Out.
So frustrating until I found the solution below!
Eureka!! I have found someone with a smart, simple and efficient solution that actually works without all the hoopla (hard reboot/reset network settings/restore) suggested in this thread!
I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 7.0.3 and I went through those steps:
Go to "Settings">Scroll down to "iTunes Store & App Store">Logout from the account
Turn off your device, wait 1 minute or 2 then turn your device back on
Return to "Settings">Scroll down to "iTunes Store & App Store">Login (can take up to a minute)
And voilà! iMessage and FaceTime are back in business!
Note: it works without any need for a restoration.
This fixes as well all the problems in Google/Facebook/WhatsApp/etc. that require you to "Connect to iTunes to activate push notifications".
