I recently purchased additional storage on icloud (200gigs) and my wife and I are both using the same account under my name. Now my photos, notes and reminders etc. are showing up on her phone. Is there any way to change the settings so that her backed up data stays on her phone and mine stays on mine only?

If you are syncing Contacts, Notes and Reminders, no. That is an account (AppleID) specific function. Backups, however, are another matter and would remain separate since they are device specific.

Two iPhones using same iCloud account with separate contact lists?

Our family has two iPhones and we each use different contact lists. If we use the same Apple Id is there a way to separate the contact lists in iCloud or do we need separate account (i.e Apple Id's)?

I have my iphone and ipad on Apple icloud services and it finds both units. I think you have to have different account names set up in order to use it. Do you have itunes? if so you can add the device from there. For instructions go to http://www.apple.com check under support, then forums to see if that has been posted.

I am really confused at how to set our iPhones up.
My wife and I each have an iPhone 5.
We have one iCloud account because we share our calendar and contacts.
I did get her her own iCloud account to add some calendar events I don't need to sync.
That is working all well and good.
The only problem is Siri. It says my name to her when she makes a request. So I went in to Siri and choose her name out of contacts. Then it starts calling me by her name on my iPhone.
Obvioulsy Siri is linked via iCloud and I am not seeing a setting to change that.
If we could share calendars between two different iCloud accounts all would be well.
Can we. Can I set my calendar up as something she can subscribe to?

About Siri, it must know who you are. To do that, go to: Settings>>General>>Siri>> My Information. There, you can select your own information, like name, phone number, home address, office address and so on.
About Calendars, you can set what you want to share with her, and what she wants to share with you as well. To do it, you must set it in two different places:
1o: Set with iCloud: Settings>>iCloud, there you can set if you want to sync with;
2o: Set which kind of calendars you want to sync: Calendars>>Calendars, there if you want to sync Calendars, but you won't sync your Work Calendars, unmark Work. It will private your Work Calendars just with your iPhone device.
3o: General settings of your Calendars: Settings>>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>>Calendars, there you can setthe period of events you want to sync and set your Standard Calendar.

You will need to visit appleid.apple.com to manage your Apple ID. From there, you can log in with your existing credentials and then change your registered email addresses.
This is also where you can update your physical address, phone number, security questions, etc.

You can but it's usually not recommended. If you do any synced data will be merged to the same iCloud account. This was very convenient to share the family's calendar, contacts, and photos!
But from iOS 7, the sharing of Apple ID for the family looks compromised, iMessage and FaceTime are using common IDs on all devices connected with the same account...
I'm now considering creating an account for each of us and could find a solution for calendar, contacts, BUT not for photos!

I would like to back up 3 idevices each with different icloud accounts to itunes. But they use the same apple id so that itune purchases can be installed on each device (2 iphones and 1 ipad).
All I want to do is create a backup in case the phones need to be restored. I also want to back up before downloading iOS 8.
The Macbook Pro that I will back up to has one user and one itunes library.

With Family Sharing they don't need to have the same Apple ID anymore.
But backups to iTunes are kept separate among multiple devices; Apple ID and iCloud isn't involved at all. Just make sure the devices do not have the same name.

When you share an iCloud account, your synced data such as contacts is merged. To prevent this, your devices should be on separate iCloud accounts. To migrate to a new iCloud account, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate iCloud accounts, you can each go to icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your accounts.
For FaceTime, go to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your new iCloud ID. If you are sharing the same ID for iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive or you will end up getting each other's text messages.
You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes & App store without any problems.

Don't use the same Apple ID for iMessage. (You can continue to share the same ID for iTunes and have separate IDs for other services such as iMessage and FactTime.
One of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. If you're sharing the same ID for FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime to keep from getting each other's FaceTime calls.

IPhones on same iCloud account mixing up messages

My family has two iPhone 4's and one 4S all connected to the sme iTunes/iCloud account that have recently been mixing up messages. This problem just recently started where one message is intended to be sent from one of the phones to just one other (i.e. me to my mom or my dad to my mom) but instead the messages go to all three phones but are often shown as not sent at all, sent by the wrong person, recieved by the wrong person, or not displayed at all because all phones show that they sent the message. At other times a message is shown as being sent by the email adress the account is under or even I have sent a message but it is sent under another one of the phone's numbers and they recievd it under their own number! None of the phones are jailbroken and all are running on iOS 5.1, I suspect that this is an iCloud issue but I'm not positive. So far this only occurs between these three phones. If anyone knows what this is or how to fix it please reply
